Every person should spend their time the way they want. For some, going to a club is a good way to spend time. For some, reading books.

Each person is unique in their own way, so they spend their time differently. However, there is such a way to spend time as going to fresh nature.

There is nothing better than coming to the bet, admiring nature, swimming and, in the end, going fishing. This is every man’s favorite activity, so fishing is the best way to spend time.

But since this is far from a matter of minutes, it also takes a long time to get ready for it. Today we will talk about what you need for a fishing trip.

What you need for fishing

You are at home, your friends called you and invited you to go fishing. You agree and then the fun begins. Fishing with an overnight stay, which means for a long time. You have to take on a lot. So what do you need?

First, you need to take the entire contents of the fishing rod. That is, tackle, bait and so on. Exactly this the main thing that should be present every fisherman has. However, to enjoy the fish itself, you need to be already full, because it’s not a fact that fishing will be fast.

You need to not only eat before leaving, but also stock up on food. It can be very different, according to your choice, but if you are traveling overnight, then remember - need a lot of food.

Especially in the summer, when the heat does not subside and the body has to expend a lot of energy. It is then that food is needed to restore these very forces. Well, it’s logical that you need plenty of drinking water. In essence, its function is the same, and a person cannot live without it. You will definitely not be able to find drinking water there.

So, we prepared fishing rods, food and water. What else is needed? Yes, right, toilet paper. There's nowhere without her. Some may say that in nature you can use “secondary products” such as leaves, but for hygiene it is better to take toilet paper with you. It's much safer.

Speaking of hygiene, you need to take one more thing, namely soap. You can't live without soap go fishing, because you have to wash yourself anyway. Soap kills bacteria by leaving them there

And now we get to the thing without which you can’t even think about fishing. This is a first aid kit. Without it, there is no point in going out into nature, because every person should have it. Unforeseen situations can be so unpredictable and unusual that without a first aid kit it can be too bad.

It includes: iodine, brilliant green, bandages, alcohol and much more that will be needed in critical situations. And be sure to take with you products to combat mosquitoes and various midges. If they pester you throughout the entire fishing trip, your nerves may give out. Do you need it?

You can also take a hatchet with you, various means of protection (no one knows what can happen and who can attack) and also take a folding chair with you. It will be very useful in such cases.

Well, we are packed, we are ready to go, the car is started and we can go fishing. But... We're going overnight, aren't we? And what you need to do? That's right, tents. Without tents there is absolutely nowhere to go. You will not be able to spend the night peacefully without a tent outside, because at night there are even more flying “pests” and they will not only disturb you from sleeping, but will also bite you.

And not only do you need to take a tent, but also warm clothes. You can't go anywhere without warm clothes. You will say, “It’s warm in the summer, why do you need warm clothes.” And who knows what might happen? Suddenly the weather will deteriorate, heavy rain will begin, the wind will interfere with your rest. What then? Then you need warm clothes, forgive me, but you can’t go without them. How can you spend a night without clothes in nature, even in summer?

If you have in mind not only fishing, but also swimming or relaxing right on the river, then it is strongly recommended to take with you various lifebuoys and air mattresses. Every lover of “sea pleasures” needs them.

And one more thing about food. If you take food with you, remember that it must be ready so that it does not spoil. Let's say various canned foods. They will not spoil in such a short time, and you will have to eat whatever you want, so they will be your true friends.

That's all, we have noted the essentials for a fishing trip. Yes, perhaps the list is not complete and you have something that can complement it. You're welcome, but what you need for fishing was indicated and that's quite enough. It all depends on you, how much you will take.

Even with food, you don’t need to be cunning, but take as much as possible, who knows what might happen. Fishing is a way of spending time when the soul finds peace and comes into harmony with nature. So take advantage of the moment, have a good rest, catch some fish, have fun and come home a winner. And that's all. We wish you a pleasant fishing!

Almost every fisherman has known for many years what to take with him on a fishing trip. Every fisherman has certain things without which fishing will not be successful, for example, lucky boots or a “trump” float. Of course, the mandatory attributes of any fishing are spinning rods, reels, tackle, bait and groundbait.

But there are still a huge number of things, without which fishing will become a boring and rather difficult task. The list of things needed for fishing directly depends on the number of days you plan to spend on the pond.

If you are planning a long trip, for a week or even more, then you need to be very careful when choosing things. You need to take only those things that you know you will use.

If you plan to fish for only a few days, then the list of things will be sharply reduced. Many fishermen argue that the main thing is to take a first aid kit and good company with you when fishing, and don’t forget your fishing rod.

Things you need for fishing

If you plan to get to the fishing spot on foot, by bus or hitchhiking, then you need to pack only the most necessary things. It is worth paying attention to the weight of the backpack; it will be difficult for the fisherman if its weight exceeds 20 kilograms.

When going fishing in the warm season, do not forget about a warm sweater and raincoat, as very often the weather can be deceptive and a clear sunny sky can suddenly give way to thunderstorms and heavy rain. But it can also remain sunny, which is why you should definitely make room in your fishing backpack for sunglasses, a cap and sunscreen.

Provided that you stay overnight fishing, you will definitely need a tent and, of course, a blanket. The availability of a blanket depends on the time you go fishing; of course, you are unlikely to need it in winter.

Indispensable things for fishing will be a watch, a flashlight, matches and paper. If fishing is supposed to be in unfamiliar terrain, then it is advisable to have a compass and a map of the area with you.

It is much more convenient to wait for a bite while sitting on a chair rather than on damp ground. So it’s worth setting aside space in your backpack and for a high chair. After all, it’s better to carry an extra kilogram on your back than to treat hemorrhoids later.)

Now let's take a closer look at the clearly formed list. And so, below are the things you need for fishing. Of course, everyone can change this list to suit themselves; some will find some attributes unnecessary, while others will need many more things. And now closer to the point, the list of things for fishing:

  • Be sure to take gear with you: fishing rods, groundbait, bait, landing net, cage. Mandatory things when fishing are spare tackle and its elements (line, hooks, float, sinkers), because no one is safe from cliffs;
  • Now about clothes, first of all, you should choose clothes for fishing according to the weather. As mentioned above, a cap will be a very useful thing when fishing. Do not forget that it is always colder near the water than it might seem at first glance;
  • Be sure to bring drinking water with you;
  • Soap;
  • First aid kit. Iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, anti-allergic agent - the most minimal set in a fisherman’s first aid kit;
  • Don’t forget the anti-bite remedy, mosquito bites have never been canceled. Vanilla dissolved in water and rubbed into the skin helps very well with folk remedies, and the smell is pleasant and mosquitoes do not bite;
  • Now to the little things: a hatchet, a knife, a mining shovel. Flashlight, matches or lighter, paper, watch. If you're fishing at night, don't forget about spare batteries for your flashlight. And of course, a high chair;
  • Tent, sleeping bags (their number depends on the number of fishermen) and warm clothes for sleeping;
  • Well, don’t forget about food, this is at the discretion of the fishermen themselves;

The process of preparing for fishing is quite a responsible activity and often brings fishermen the same positive feelings as the fishing process itself. Experienced fishermen know how to properly prepare for fishing; they decide on the fishing location and the desired trophy in advance. And long before going fishing, the process of preparation and careful planning begins. Fishermen already know what they will fish, where and with what bait.

Very often when fishing, people encounter force majeure situations, and emergencies often occur. The most important thing is to check the serviceability of the vehicle before fishing if you plan to travel on it. After all, no one wants to push the car instead of watching the float.

Don’t forget to check all electronics that will be used during fishing. It is recommended to take a car charger for your phone or power bank.

Be sure to pack a separate box with spare gear. Be sure to prepare the bait in advance.

When preparing for fishing, many people buy bait mixtures in stores, but some still make them themselves. It is not uncommon for groundbait prepared at home to be cake with flour or corn grits with fixatives.

A very important thing in a fisherman’s backpack is the fish tank; never forget it. The presence of a cage will always ensure the safety of the catch and all the fish will be alive. Do not forget that there are a lot of mosquitoes and other insects in the reservoir, so when going fishing you should pay attention to the selection of insect repellent. It is also mandatory to have a first aid kit, at least with the most necessary items (iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, antiallergic agent, antipyretic).

And of course, don’t forget about food, there should be enough of it. It is necessary to allocate space in your backpack for a knife and matches. The main thing is not to rush when packing for fishing; for convenience, you can make a list.

Preparing for summer fishing

Preparing for fishing in the summer is a little easier than at other times of the year, and fishing is much more interesting and enjoyable. For successful and comfortable summer fishing, you need to prepare things from the following list:

  • clothing (preferably waterproof) and hat;
  • shoes;
  • bag - thermos to ensure a low temperature of the bait (so that the worms do not die);
  • insect repellent;
  • an umbrella (to hide at least a little from the sun);
  • Sunglasses;
  • sun cream;
  • first aid kit, flashlight, matches and knife;
  • fishing gear, the choice of which is made according to the chosen fishing technique;
  • landing net and cage;
  • high chair or stool;
  • food and drinking water.

It is recommended not to go summer fishing without a compass and map. The list can be supplemented based on additional preferences. Some fishermen will consider the items on the list unnecessary, while some, on the contrary, will say that they are not enough.

If fishing is planned in the winter season, then the list of items needed for fishing needs to be approached in a slightly different way. List of the most necessary things for winter fishing:

  • warm clothes (must protect from wind and moisture);
  • warm hat;
  • mittens (preferably two pairs);
  • warm shoes;
  • spare socks;
  • ice pick (to test the strength of ice while moving on it);
  • ice screw;
  • a scoop (necessary to clean the holes);
  • fishing box or chair;
  • backpack;
  • thermos with hot drink;
  • tent;
  • kindling for a fire;
  • rope and fasteners - in case someone falls through the ice;
  • tackle;
  • first aid kit

If you go fishing by car, then a sled will be a very useful thing; it makes it much easier to move on the ice and transport gear to the fishing spot.

What to take with you on night fishing

The main aspect when preparing for night fishing is that there is no daylight, and fishing in the dark is not very convenient. All things should be in their places, saving the fisherman from searching for something in the dark. At night it is extremely difficult to tie anything down and install gear. Because of this, it is recommended to take several sets of equipped rods with you. Spare gear must be placed in boxes, separately from each other, so that they do not get tangled.

It is necessary to take into account the fact that using sliding floats for night fishing is not an easy task and people with an “unstable psyche” are recommended to equip their rods only with non-slip floats. Now to the coils, everyone knows that beards often get tangled on inertial coils; it’s quite difficult to untangle them even during the day, let alone at night. So it is best to take spinning reels for night fishing. You can equip your rods with thicker fishing line and larger hooks, this will make fishing more convenient and will not affect the fish biting at night.

What to take with you on night fishing, how to pack a backpack, dress? I assure you that such questions are asked not only. Experienced fishermen even go through filled duffel bags more often. Because the list of things necessary for night fishing should include not only the mandatory ones.

Each body of water, fishing method or season of the year has its own particular characteristics. You need to prepare for them.

Everything that will be discussed below concerns only the period of the end of spring - the very beginning of autumn. This is the time when even here on the Angara it is quite warm and cozy.

In winter, I do not advise a novice fisherman to stay for night fishing without the accompaniment of an experienced friend.

So, let's transgress.

What to do before going night fishing

What is the most important thing when night fishing? Tackle, amount of groundbait, bait? I am 100% sure that fishing is done by a correctly selected and prepared place:

  • Even if you arrive at the reservoir 3-4 hours before sunset fully equipped, you may not have time to find a parking lot and prepare fishing spots.

Therefore, it makes sense to visit the selected body of water in advance. Decide on a bivouac location, identify promising points and feed them.

  • If you are going to fish with girders, then preparing the installation site is a safety measure for behavior on the water. It’s easy to cause an unfortunate puncture in your boat on an unnoticed snag or sharp twig.
  • Going out at night always involves lighting a fire. It’s easier to prepare a fire pit and decide on firewood during the day.
  • Legends can already be made about the clutter of the banks. Therefore, it would not be superfluous to do a little tidying up of the parking lot. Running into fragments of a broken bottle or tin can in the dark is not a tricky thing.
  • Of course, get acquainted with the forecast.

By devoting a day to all these activities, you will need less time to set up bivouac upon arrival.

List of things to pack first

Night fishing essentials fall into two categories:

  1. Things without which any trip is impossible.
  2. “Shmutye”, which makes it easier to stay on a body of water at night, but its absence is not critical.
  • Spare set of dry warm clothes. Even if it’s summer, it’s worth putting thermal underwear in your backpack. In the absence of this, a thick tracksuit.
  • Socks, preferably made of natural thread.
  • Knitted hat.
  • Only anglers on wheels can afford to go fishing with a chair. Therefore, I advise you to buy a folk remedy - “asshole”.

Worn on the lower back, protecting from drafts. I felt the urge to sit on the ground or a tree trunk - I moved it to the back point.

  • Towel.
  • The cape is “waterproof”. A small package made from a polyethylene raincoat does not take up much space. A piece of plastic film with the expectation that you can completely wrap yourself in it. Or, at best, cover things up for the night. There is always dew in the morning.

Take my word for it, the weather is changeable, and forecasts often want to be more accurate. This is good when there is a car nearby, but what if you go fishing on foot?

The following points apply to being in the dark:

  • Flashlight. It is advisable to have a headlamp to free your hands.
  • A couple of sets of fresh batteries. Even if they are not useful.
  • To start a fire, use matches, carefully protected from moisture penetration, and dry fuel.

Cutlery and food:

  • Mug (not glass or plastic), spoon, pot.
  • Recently I became convinced that drinking water directly from a reservoir is a scrupulous matter. Boil and use is normal. To quench your thirst, putting a liter bottle or flask of plain water in your backpack won’t hurt. Next, tea prepared in a pot or mug will help.
  • Don’t be shy to throw a Rolton or Doshirak into your backpack. It is not known what will happen next, but at least there will be a light snack.
  • Salt, sugar, tea leaves.
  • If you are going to cook fish soup, you will have to take the necessary ingredients.
  • The warm season always plays against the trophies obtained. A thick plastic bag and coarse salts for.

A knife is a must, a hatchet - if you are not too lazy to carry it.

Things that improve a fisherman’s life, but we take them whenever possible

Of course, I would like to add a figure-eight folding tent, a sleeping bag and a camping mat to the list of essentials. The things are necessary, but often you don’t feel like carrying around an extra scrub yourself.

Making a simple “figvam” on the spot from a woven cloth and brought polyethylene is something anyone can do. And collecting grasses - ants - for the night - this will replace the soft bedding. And the pleasant smells of collected herbs improve your mood.

It’s good to have a cage or landing net. However, you can make a kukan right on the spot from thick fishing line and a cut rod.

Sewing utensils (a needle and thread) come in handy sometimes, but I usually don’t take them myself.

First aid kit and tools

I almost lost sight of the much-needed first aid kit and plumbing tools.

In your first aid kit you will need to have the bare minimum:

  • Bandage.
  • Patch.
  • Painkiller pills.
  • Tourniquet.
  • Spray or ointment to protect against mosquitoes and midges.

For plumbing tools, be sure to take side cutters. For (Neptune forbid, of course) they will not be superfluous.

Let's summarize

I specifically did not include gear in the list of things needed for night fishing. There is no need to give any special advice or recommendations here. Each fisherman assembles his own set of gear, taking into account his desires and needs.

Please don't forget your garbage collection bags. Don't leave trash behind.

And in conclusion, I can add for those who are going fishing at night for the first time. This will definitely happen. The first night always makes you think. The next one you are going to do on your own. The experience gained will tell you what to focus your attention on, how to prepare for night fishing, what to take with you.

Silence, birdsong, gentle sun, quiet splash of the river, fresh air. Excitement when it bites. Well, and, of course, booty that you can be proud of! Even getting ready is a pleasure.

What should you take fishing? Let's consider several options.

One day fishing

  1. Tackle: fishing rods, bait, bait (bait), nets, cages, . Be sure to take spare hooks, fishing line, and reel;
  2. How to dress? Depending on the weather. Clothing should protect your skin from the sun. There is a cap on the head. Don't forget sunglasses: they are very convenient for observing the float. If it’s cool outside, then the water immediately becomes damp, dress warmly;
  3. Water. Drinking. You will need it to make tea, cook food, wash your face;
  4. Soap;
  5. First aid kit (Necessarily). Iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, antiallergic agent - this is the required minimum;
  6. Remedies for insect bites. The choice is huge now (sprays, ointments, spirals). If you have a mosquito net, you can attach it to your headgear. If you don’t know what helps against mosquito bites, then read -;
  7. Very useful little things: a hatchet, a small fishing knife, a mining shovel. Flashlight, matches (a lot of), lighter. Old newspaper for making a fire. Spare batteries for a flashlight. If you come fishing by car, then it is better to buy firewood along the way at any gas station. You can even make a folding fishing chair yourself. Salt. If you catch a lot of fish, you can immediately salt it.

If you are traveling overnight

Then you need to take care of a comfortable overnight stay. We take everything with us for a one-day fishing trip, plus:

  1. Tent;
  2. Sleeping bags;
  3. Carimat or air mattress. You can grab small travel pads. At night you need to rest fully and comfortably.
  4. Warm clothes.

Fishing is fishing, and lunch is on schedule

It is better to take disposable dishes. But take the cutting board and knives that you use at home for cooking. And:

  • Napkins, can opener, pouring spoon;
  • Be sure to take bags with you where you will put the garbage;
  • A cauldron for fish soup or tea, and fastenings for it. Brazier (if barbecues are planned). By the way, here is a good recipe on the topic. Of course, if you have a folding dining table, that’s absolutely great.
  • Drinking unsweetened mineral water in bottles;
  • Tea and/or instant coffee;
  • Bread;
  • Canned food (meat, fish), cheese, biscuits, salted lard, raw smoked sausage, ;
  • Fruits and vegetables;
  • Home-marinated barbecue meat;
  • Some cereal (it will be very tasty with canned meat);
  • If you plan to cook fish soup, then all the products necessary for this;
  • Potatoes (bake in the fire).

This is an indicative list of products. Add to it or change it to your liking. The main thing to remember is: we don’t take anything perishable.

In this article, we will try to tell all novice fishermen how to plan their diet while carp fishing, as well as what products they should pay attention to and what it is better not to take with them to the pond. In this regard, the Carptoday team was lucky, since before carp fishing we had been involved in sports tourism for 10 years, and there the nutritional requirements are even more stringent. You come for fishing by car, but in tourism you carry everything on your shoulders. We will talk about very useful and necessary, in our opinion, accessories that will greatly facilitate your stay on the pond.

To begin with, we would advise planning your menu based on meals. Directly write down on a piece of paper how many breakfasts, lunches and dinners you will have. And then figure out in your head exactly what foods are needed for each meal for you personally. It is worth noting that now, these days, there are a large number of devices that allow you to prepare full meals right on the shore. Therefore, do not deny yourself the pleasure of not only being well-fed and not dying of hunger, but also enjoying the process itself - lunch on the shore of a beautiful lake, accompanied by the singing of birds - romance!

So, you have outlined your diet. Next, it is extremely important to understand whether there will be a cook? If you have a person who is ready to take on the functions of a cook, then you should buy mainly natural products (raw potatoes, raw meat, noodles, and so on). If you are alone, then you should pay attention to concentrates - lunches, doshiraki rolltons. This may not be the healthiest food for your body, but let’s be honest - it’s quite likely that fishing and cooking a full dinner will overlap each other, and in addition to fishing, the thought will sit in your head that meat is being fried in a frying pan, and as a result, the meat will burn and the fish will come off.

In general, there is nothing wrong with the fact that you will always have ready-made lunches in stock. Anything can happen, they have a long shelf life and are stored for a long time. Well, there was no time to cook lunch or dinner, or there was a heavy downpour, or I just didn’t want to open a field kitchen - they poured boiling water on me without leaving the tent, and killed the worm.

Before you go fishing, you must strictly monitor what you took:

  • Stove with gas cylinder
  • Toaster, for preparing hot food
  • Two lighters, and they need to be stored in different places

Gas stoves may vary. You can buy an inexpensive tile and go with it a 5L red gas cylinder with propane, or you can buy a compact version. It is worth noting that English ones have more pressure and cook food much faster with them. A very important point is gas cylinders. They need to be taken in reserve. Based on the calculation that one cylinder is approximately used to prepare two lunches. Regarding frying pans and other things, there is nothing better than the modern ones that are produced on the carp fishing market. They do not stick, they have special locks that prevent accidental opening of the toaster, you can cook everything from desserts to sandwiches in them, they are unpretentious and do not need to be washed after each cooking. And most importantly, their price is quite affordable and much lower than a good Teflon frying pan. Why two lighters? Anything can happen: you slip and fall into the water. It is better to keep one lighter in the tent, for example, and the other with you. Lost, dropped, can't find it - there's always a spare one.

List of products that must be present upon departure:

  • Lots of water (there is never enough water!)
  • Sugar
  • Spices
  • Ready lunches
  • Potato
  • Canned food (stewed meat, peas, corn)
  • Cereals (pasta, buckwheat, rice, rolled oats, instant porridge, instant mashed potatoes - now you can buy very tasty mashed potatoes)
  • Breadbreads (on long fishing trips it is better to take crispbreads rather than bread)
  • Chocolate is one of the most energy-rich foods, along with nuts!
  • Vegetable oil (for cooking in the toaster)

You can also add additional products to this to diversify your diet:

  • Cheese (both processed and hard – for sandwiches)
  • Smoked sausage
  • Eggs – scrambled eggs in the morning, you can simply boil them.
  • Lard is a great place to put on the bottom of the toaster when cooking scrambled eggs. Lard is a very nutritious product that will also help maintain the required level of energy.
  • Cookies (or just something for tea)
  • cucumbers
  • Tomatoes
  • Ready salads
  • Apples
  • Citrus fruits are very healthy and nutritious. Especially bananas!
  • Lemon for tea
  • Dried fruits

List of foods that can go bad in a couple of days outside the refrigerator:

  • Dairy products
  • Boiled sausage
  • Sausages
  • Sausages
  • Boiled smoked meats

The most important thing is that you must understand that it is important to take food in a comprehensive manner. It will be much more economical and satisfying. The level of calories you consume in normal life may not be enough for you to spend time in nature. Moreover, carp fishing can often be associated with physical activity, for example, casting a bait rod or working with a cobra. It just seems like there is nothing complicated about it, but after the first day, you can feel a sore throat in your right forearm.

Menu:

First day

  • Breakfast – scrambled eggs (you can add lard), a sandwich with raw smoked sausage, tea/coffee, chocolate
  • Lunch - first course - ready-made lunch, for the second - potatoes, canned meat, tea/coffee, chocolate
  • Dinner – prepare cereals (of your choice) with canned food, add spices, tea/coffee, chocolate

Second day

  • Breakfast – porridge with dried fruits, sandwiches, tea/coffee, cookies
  • Lunch - first course - soup from a bag, add vermicelli and potatoes, for the second - cereal, canned meat, tea/coffee, chocolate
  • Dinner – vegetable salad with canned food, add spices, tea/coffee, chocolate

The third day

  • Breakfast - scrambled eggs or porridge with dried fruits, sandwiches, tea/coffee, cookies
  • Lunch - first course soup from a bag, add rice, second course - buckwheat with canned meat, tea/coffee, chocolate
  • Dinner - prepare cereals (of your choice) with canned food, add spices, tea/coffee, chocolate

Now let's take a closer look. For example, it turns out that you come for fishing and spend three full days there. We count on one person:

  • A dozen eggs
  • Stick of raw smoked sausage
  • Can of ground coffee
  • Packaging of bagged tea
  • 3 ready-made business lunches
  • 3 instant mashed potatoes
  • 2 cans of canned meat (based on the fact that we will eat half at one lunch)
  • 2 cans of canned corn and peas (based on the fact that we will eat half at a time
  • dinner)
  • 200-300 grams of cereal (on average, about 100 grams of cereal are consumed per meal. Depending on the person, this value may decrease or increase)
  • 1 loaf of white bread
  • 1 loaf of black bread
  • Sugar
  • Spices (your choice)
  • 3 chocolate bars
  • 500g cookies (also of your choice)
  • 5 cucumbers
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 lemon
  • 5 apples

Currently, manufacturers of carp equipment have seriously taken care of the level of comfort on the shore. In addition to armchairs and folding beds, very comfortable ones that are equipped with dishes are also available for sale. It comes complete and is designed for 1-2 persons, depending on the model. All the necessary cutlery is already there, as well as a convenient compartment for storing food!

There is no need to adhere to the recommendations given above as the only correct option for planning meals on the shore. It is rather a vector that we have given you so that you move in the right direction. We hope that now you will have even more fun fishing and spend your time with maximum comfort and pleasure!
