Economy class is located in the middle or rear section of the aircraft. There is a predominance of a large number of passenger seats located close to each other. There is a small distance for the legs between the seats, which often does not allow the passenger to take a comfortable body position during the flight.

Like other travel classes, Economy also offers the most comfortable seats with more space. Such chairs can be pre-booked for an additional payment according to the established tariff.

Each seat in economy class is equipped with a folding table and a pocket where there is a logbook and an evacuation map.

Meals and various sleep accessories are provided to economy class passengers on long-haul flights. During air travel on short flights, meals are not provided, with the exception of free distribution of hot and cold drinks.

What is the difference between Economy and Comfort tariffs?

Comfort fare is an improved economy class with expanded options for passengers. Air tickets in this category are sold at a higher price.

Promo Economy tariff

The most affordable Aeroflot plane ticket is the Promo Economy fare. It only applies to direct flights and has a limited range of services.

Features of the Promo Economy tariff:

• transit stops are not allowed;
• The pre-paid upgrade service does not apply;
• Upgrades using bonus miles are not permitted;
• Air ticket refunds are not allowed;
• making changes to the air ticket is allowed, but with a decent surcharge;
• There are no discounts on flights;
• for personal belongings of the passenger, one piece of luggage is provided in the cargo compartment of the aircraft;
• For the flight, bonus miles in the amount of 25% will be credited to the traveler's account.

Tariff Economy Budget

Aeroflot's Economy Budget tariff plan provides passengers with some privileges. The price of an air ticket is slightly higher than the cost of a flight using the Promo Economy fare.

Conditions and privileges of Economy Budget class:

• an upgrade to the service class is allowed with an additional payment of the difference;
• Tickets cannot be returned before departure;
• Tickets can be returned 24 hours before departure with a 25% commission and deduction of service fees;
• changes are permitted with additional payment;
• 1 free piece of luggage is provided;
• bonus miles are awarded in the amount of 75-125%;
• the period of validity of transportation obligations extends for a period of 165 to 365 days;
• A discount is provided on air tickets for children aged 2 to 12 years when flying with an accompanying adult.

Tariff Optimum

Tariff plan Optimum Economy - the optimal ratio of price and services provided. The service package has been slightly expanded. The number of return flights is fixed, but the length of stay in another country is unlimited.

What does the Economy Optimum tariff include:

• preliminary upgrade of service class with additional payment of the difference is allowed;
• the passenger cannot use bonus miles to upgrade the comfort class;
• you can make changes to an issued air ticket with an additional payment;
• a 25% discount is provided on air tickets with a separate seat for children from 2 to 12 years old;
• There is 1 place for passenger luggage in the compartment of the aircraft;
• preliminary selection of a comfortable seat in the cabin is allowed;
• stops during transit flights are allowed for up to 72 hours;
• 100-150% bonus miles are awarded for the flight.

Premium class tariff

Aeroflot's economy fare also includes a premium class package, which provides the largest number of privileges for passengers.

Privileges of the Economy Premium tariff:

• open return flight date allowed;
• Transit transfers with a stopover for a period of 165 to 365 days are allowed;
• by paying the difference, the passenger can upgrade the class of service and use bonus miles to use this service;
• Pre-selection of seats in the cabin is provided at no extra charge;
• Tickets can be returned without deduction of fees;
• You can make changes to your issued air ticket without additional payment;
• children under 12 years of age traveling accompanied by adults receive a 25% discount on a ticket with a separate seat;
• 2 pieces of luggage are provided for personal luggage;
• miles are awarded for the flight in the amount of 150-200%.

Meals on Aeroflot economy class aircraft

On short-duration flights in Economy class, hot and cold drinks are provided. When flying long distances, Aeroflot offers a special menu for passengers traveling at an economy fare.

Menu for flights lasting 6 hours or more:

1. During the first service, passengers are offered a light appetizer, a main course and dessert.
2. During the second distribution, you are given a choice of main course with salad and dessert in the form of pancakes or cookies.

Aeroflot's economy class menu is frequently amended. You can find out in detail about the list of food and drinks provided in the cabin on long-distance flights from the airline staff when purchasing a ticket for the flight.

Since August 2018, a new paid service is also available for economy class passengers - a made-to-order menu. You can use this service and pay for the selected dishes during the ticket booking process, but no later than 36 hours before departure of the flight.

Baggage allowance in economy class

For personal luggage of passengers traveling at an economy fare, 1 piece of luggage is provided in the cargo compartment of the aircraft. The exception is the Economy Premium fare, which includes two pieces of luggage.

The dimensions of bags and suitcases must not exceed the established parameter - 158 cm in three dimensions. Maximum luggage weight is 23 kg.

Acceptable dimensions of hand luggage are 55x40x25cm, weight - no more than 10 kg.

For children from 2 to 12 years old flying on a separate ticket with a seat provided, similar baggage allowances are provided.

For overload, the passenger will have to pay extra according to the established tariff. If there are no empty seats on the plane, you will have to refuse to transport items whose weight or dimensions exceed the established norm.

If a passenger plans to transport large items on an Aeroflot aircraft in economy class, he needs to contact company representatives in advance and discuss the terms of the service. For transportation of excess baggage, additional payment is also charged at the approved rate.

Terms of return and exchange of economy class tickets Aeroflot

Economy Budget and Economy Promo class tickets are non-refundable. They are not subject to exchange/return based on the personal wishes of the passenger. The exception is involuntary flight cancellations. Refunds will be made subject to deduction of fees.

Forced reasons for returning/exchanging economy class air tickets:

• long flight delay or cancellation of flight by decision of the air carrier;
• change of route;
• delay of a passenger during inspection, which led to a delay in boarding the plane;
• technical problems when selling tickets, as a result of which there are not enough seats in the cabin for the passenger;
• incorrectly completed flight documents due to the fault of an airline employee;
• refusal to issue a visa for a flight to a foreign country, which is confirmed by an official document from the visa center with a notarized translation;
• serious illness or death of a passenger (can be carried out by close relatives).

You can return or economy class tickets only at an Aeroflot sales department or service center. Passengers of this fare do not have the option to return/exchange tickets online on the carrier’s website.
