Phi Phi Island is a very popular attraction in Thailand. You can get to the island from Phuket on your own, or book an excursion. An excursion to this island is the second most popular, followed by an excursion to the Similan Islands. If you have the financial opportunity, I recommend visiting both excursions.

Many tourists know the island from the famous Hollywood film “The Beach”, in which Leonardo DiCaprio played the main role. It is worth noting that Phi Phi is not one island, but a whole archipelago of six small islands, the largest and most inhabited has the prefix Don, the most beautiful (the same one on which the film “The Beach” was filmed) has the prefix Le.

So, those tourists who come to Phi Phi Don for the first time on an excursion do not understand anything at first, because they expected to see deserted beaches with white sand, the noise of palm trees and a lonely wandering Leonardo DiCaprio, but on the Don they see an analogue of Phuket.

The main attractions on Phi Phi Don are: beaches, sea and nightlife, there is simply nothing else to do here.

In order to better understand where the islands are located in Thailand, I am attaching a map. Other tourist resorts in Thailand (Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Lanta) are also marked on the map.

Holidays on Phi Phi Don island and areas of residence

Most tourists have a stereotype - holidays on Phi Phi Island are available only by excursion; many tourists do just that, buy an excursion for one day, and go home in the evening. However, the island is perfect for a longer stay, and some tourists spend their entire vacation here.

Thanks to the developed tourism infrastructure, holidays on the island are accessible to almost any independent traveler. Phi Phi Don has numerous shops, cafes, seafood restaurants, inexpensive and very simple guesthouses, expensive and luxury hotels, a beautiful sea, snow-white beaches, and countless excursions will take you to neighboring islands and other regions of Thailand.

Despite its miniature size, the main areas for tourist accommodation are delimited according to the price category of the holiday. So tourists who prefer different types of recreation do not interfere with each other.

Lo Dalum District

The Lo Dalum area is the main place for party-goers from all over the world, and it will be convenient for all independent (budget) tourists. The area is known for its noisy (sometimes very loud) nightlife, which does not subside until the morning. Numerous bars set daily records for alcohol sales, and for those who don’t want to sit in a bar, they will pour the booze into a small take-away bucket. :)

The coast in the Lo Dalum area turns into one large open-air dance floor every evening; famous fire shows are held here. Probably no one in the Lo Dalum area knows about the existence of the “Law of Silence” (all music and noise should not be at night), which they try to observe in Thailand.

You can continue the party in one of the massage parlors, where “Special massage for men” is commonplace. Lo Dalum is the best place for young people who have a blast here.

Long Beach area

The Long Beach area is very different from the noisy and crazy Lo Dalum. Peace and quiet reigns in Long Beach, where there are no late-night parties or other late-night activities, so you'll sleep peacefully at night. Long Beach is ideal for a relaxing family holiday with children.

Eastern part of the island

The eastern part of the island is perfect for those who value comfort and service. In the east of the island, pristine nature has been preserved and deserted beaches are interspersed with a few expensive hotels and very good restaurants. For tourists with tight wallets, this is where you should go.

The famous DiCaprio beach in Maya Bay

Probably, the island of Phi Phi Le would not be so touristy, but the film adaptation of the novel “The Beach” made this place a cult. The novel was written by English writer Alex Garland, and quickly became a sales champion. A little later (in 1999), the Hollywood film company FOX made a film of the same name based on the novel, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. All the events in the film "The Beach" take place on the beautiful Thai island of Phi Phi Le, and in 2000 the whole world saw what heaven on earth could look like.

Unfortunately, filming the film had a detrimental effect on the island ecology. Part of the harm lies in the thousands of tourists who come to the island every year in search of traces of DiCaprio, and part of the problems were introduced during filming. During the filming of the film, Hollywood experts decided that the beach in Maya Bay was a little short of their ideal. It was decided to make some adjustments to the coastal landscape, planted a grove of palm trees, slightly changed the coastline, etc. Immediately after filming was completed, all adjustments were eliminated, but nature did not accept them, erosion began and part of the dune slid into the sea, destroying the fragile corals.

Maya Bay Beach is a calm bay surrounded on three sides by high cliffs, the view here is truly magnificent. The beach in the natural bay of Maya Bay is tiny and always overcrowded with tourists. If you choose the right time, the bay can be seen almost deserted. There are also no tourists here during the rainy season, in the early morning hours or before sunset; the rest of the time you are guaranteed a friendly international company. Officially, you can visit this heavenly place from November to April.

The entire water area of the bay serves as a habitat for colorful tropical fish, which harmoniously combine with the same bright corals; add to this the clear turquoise water and you get an ideal place for snorkeling.

In 2018, the Thai government made a strong-willed decision to limit access to this unique beach, and for part of the year to completely close the entire island of Phi Phi Le from tourist travel.

How to get to Maya Bay Beach

All independent transfers to Maya Bay beach are available only from Phi Phi Don island, the cost of a longtail boat can start from 20,000 baht for the whole day (bargaining is appropriate), and more spacious speedboats will ask from 35,000 baht for boat rental.

The most budget option to visit the famous DiCaprio beach is a group excursion from Don Island or Phuket. The price of an excursion from a neighboring island can start from 500 baht, and from Phuket it is 1000 more expensive.

Beaches of Phi Phi Don Island

Most tourists come here solely because of one single beach, which is located in Maya Bay on the small uninhabited island of Le. This beach is also named after Leonardo DiCaprio. The place is truly wonderful and magnificent, but it is worth noting that the beaches on Phi Phi Don island also deserve your attention. So in this part of the post I’ll tell you about them.

All beaches on the island are sandy, most of them ideal for swimming, with the exception of Tonsai Beach. Almost any of the beaches can be reached on foot (the distances here are not long, so walking is useful), but it is much more interesting to rent a longtail boat and arrive at the selected beach by water.

There is also a more budget option - rent a kayak and explore the coast yourself. There is also a sightseeing tour where you will be shown all the local beaches for reasonable money, so the choice is yours.

Tonsai Beach

Numerous boats and ferries arrive at the Tonsai Beach pier; this is perhaps the dirtiest beach on the island. In addition, Tonsai has the largest settlement with a large selection of housing, cafes, restaurants and street markets.

Lo Dalum Beach

All night parties, fire shows and noisy discos take place on Lo Dalum beach. During the daytime, Lo Dalum is quite suitable for swimming. The beach has its own peculiarity: during low tide the water goes away greatly, significantly increasing the size of the beach.

Lo Mu Di Beach

Lo Mu Di Beach is the calmest beach on the island. The main disadvantage, which is also an advantage, is the remoteness from all island life. For lovers of a secluded beach holiday, this place will be an ideal choice.

Long Beach

Long Beach is the best option for any tourist. Judge for yourself: located at some distance from the center and its nightlife (you can get a great night's sleep), Long Beach has all the necessary infrastructure (a good selection of different accommodations, there are cafes with delicious food, etc.), good transport accessibility (20 minutes walk from the center, can be reached inexpensively by longtail boat).

There is no nightlife or other entertainment on Long Beach, but if you suddenly want fun, you can always walk to Lo Dalum and you are guaranteed crazy fun.

The most popular beaches can be seen on this simple map - diagram; in fact, there are many more beaches on the island, but you can find the most inhabited and popular on the map.

Phi Phi hotels

Most of the hotels on the island are one-story buildings, with the exception of several hotels in the Lo Dalum area, there are several four-story hotels of average lousiness (they are cheap, but there are no rooms available during the season), in other areas these are either bungalows or small cottages, or villas by the sea.

Housing on Phi Phi Island is more susceptible to seasonal price increases than in other Thai resorts in Thailand; prices can increase by more than 100% during the season (from November to April). For example, a simple cottage without air conditioning in the low season (from May to October) will cost you from 450 baht, while in the high season they will ask for 1,000 baht. The same thing happens with expensive hotels and budget guesthouses.

The best hotels on Lo Dalum Beach

For all the partygoers and nightlife lovers on Phi Phi, you can do without a hotel at all. :) You can have fun all night at discos, and during the day you can sleep on a sun lounger, on the same beach where you had fun. This is, of course, a joke; the most budget hotels on the island are located precisely in places of general fun and revelry of nightlife. But the rooms can be noisy, so if night noise is not a problem for you.

Here are some of the best hotels in the center of Phi Phi (according to tourists’ reviews):

  • Directly on the beach, yet the rooms have excellent sound insulation and are quiet (average price);
  • Very budget friendly, close to the beach (cheap and cheerful).

Best hotels on Long Beach

Most Russians choose hotels on the calm beach of Long Beach and do the right thing. Lodging prices in the Long Beach area aren't the cheapest, but for that you get the perfect place to stay. Most hotels in the Long Beach area are located on the first line, and when you leave your bungalow, you go straight to the beach, and it’s not a sin to overpay for this.

Here are the best hotels on Long Beach (according to tourists’ reviews):

  • Cozy houses near the beach (budget option);
  • Cozy bungalows right on the beach (comfortable option).

Hotels on the eastern part of the island

The price of an excursion depends on many factors (duration of the trip, excursion program, boat or ferry, etc.) and starts from 1,000 baht. You can order a tour

Traveling on your own by ferry from Phuket is the most budget option, but it is also the most inconvenient. You should get from the hotel to the pier in Phuket Town on your own (at 8.30 or 13.30), buy ferry tickets to Phi Phi yourself, and much more on your own. All savings can come to naught when ordering a taxi from the hotel to the pier.

The price of a ferry ticket from Phuket can start from 300 baht.

Transfer from Phuket is the best option that a tourist can choose. You should contact any tourism office in Phuket, or book a transfer online. It works something like this: at the appointed time, they pick you up at your hotel and take you in a minivan to the pier in Phuket Town, then you transfer to the ferry.

If you choose a two-way transfer with an open date, you can return any day; you will be taken from the pier in Phuket Town to your hotel. The price of such a service starts from 400 baht; check the current cost on site.

Have a nice holiday and interesting adventures.

One of the first questions that tourists interested in the Phi Phi Islands ask is where these islands are located. If you look at the world map, you will not see such islands on it. Moreover, they are not always marked on the map of Thailand.
When people see the amazing beaches of Phi Phi in photographs, they immediately ask, “Where are the Phi Phi Islands?” They may not even think about going to these islands, but they are still interested in knowing where this paradise is. The question is also of interest to tourists who want to visit Phi Phi during their tour to Thailand. Although you can get to the islands from anywhere in Thailand, the easiest way to do this is from the provinces of Krabi and Phuket.
Where to find the Phi Phi Islands on a map of Thailand? They are located in the southwestern corner of Thailand, in the Andaman Sea. This is worth highlighting as most (90%) of the Thai coastline is on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, which is part of the Pacific region.
Phi Phi Islands is located at the southern tip of the beautiful Phang Nga Bay, south of the beautiful island of Yao Yai. It is just 1 hour and 30 minutes by ferry from Railay Beach or Lanta Pier. To the west of Phi Phi lies the famous island of Phuket, with its long sandy beaches and stylish 5-star hotels.

Phi Phi Don Island on the map of Thailand

Detailed map of Phi Phi Don island

One of the most popular destinations in Thailand is the Phi Phi Islands, which are among the most beautiful natural islands in the world. They are part of the Krabi province, consist of only 6 islands and they are protected by the Hat Nopparat Thara National Park.
The largest island of the archipelago is Phi Phi Don. It is followed by Phi Phi Le, Mai Pai, Ko Yung, Bida Nok and Bida Nai.
A good one-word description of the Phi Phi Islands would be "Paradise". Surrounded by the Andaman Sea, the islands offer simply breathtaking views and crystal clear waters. The beaches here are lined with beautiful soft white sands. Limestone mountains are another impressive feature of these islands.
The Phi Phi Islands are not like Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Phuket, for example. However, they can offer certain things that other islands cannot offer. The sheer beauty of the natural landscape and vibrant atmosphere are the main features of the Phi Phi Islands.

Phi Phi Island in Thailand is, in fact, a group of islands in the province of Krabi, but many tourists, out of ignorance, often think that this is the name of one island, but in fact it is a whole archipelago of six pieces of land. Phi Phi is located between the popular tourist destination and the mainland of Thailand; getting there by boat will take 1.5-2 hours and from 300 to 1000 baht, depending on the size and speed of the vessel. The archipelago consists of six islands, of which only two are of interest to travelers and tourists: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley, the rest are uninhabited and quite difficult to get to.

Phi Phi Don is the main island of the archipelago, which consists of two large mountains, 1 km apart from each other and connected by a narrow (about 160 meters) sand spit, on which all the bungalows, restaurants and bars are built. Despite the small area (28 km2), crowds of vacationers flock here (during the peak season, about 5,000 people come here daily), who can be roughly divided into two parts:

  • those who come to soak up the magnificent beach
  • those who came to dance and drink alcohol at discos and parties

In the morning and afternoon, tourists calmly sunbathe on the beach, and in the evening and at night young people have fun at parties. Local parties are known far beyond the borders of Thailand, of which only Slinky Beach Bar and Woody Beach Bar (analogues of Kazantip) are worth it, although they only last until 2 am, but those who wish can continue to have fun at someone’s home, as a rule, they invite everyone indiscriminately , acquaintances and random passers-by. And if you want to get to a TOP party that gathers several tens of thousands of people in one place, then go and have fun at the “Full Moon Party”.

Phi Phi Ley Island attracts tourists only with its untouched nature and magnificent scenery. Famous Hollywood films were filmed there, which speaks of truly beautiful nature. You won't be able to live here, because... There are simply no hotels, but sailing by boat as part of an excursion group from Phi Phi Don is always welcome. Further in the article we will talk only about Phi Phi Don island.

Accommodation

About housing on Phi Phi. You will have to pay for it daily and even if you want to stay here for a long time (more than a week), you will not receive any discounts. If you are going here in December, January or February, then make sure to book your accommodation in advance, because... There are practically no free houses and hotels during these months.

The most expensive housing is located near the coast, average price = 4,000 baht. If you go a little deeper into the island, you can find options for 500-1000 baht per day. If you want to save as much as possible, then it is better to look for accommodation upon arrival; this way you can find a comfortable house 30% cheaper than booking the same one via the Internet, but you may end up without a roof over your head. If you still don’t want any extra hassle and will book accommodation via the Internet, then I recommend using the service, where you can find excellent bungalows and hotels at low prices.

Inexpensive housing from owners

If you do not want to hear various sounds from the coast (including loud electronic music) at night, then it is better to rent housing on the outskirts of the sand spit, because... Most of the night parties are held in its center.

Review article about Phi Phi beaches, the best beaches of Phi Phi, which beach is suitable for families with children, and which of the island’s beaches should be chosen by young and active people :)

Beaches of Phi Phi Don

Tonsai Beach

Tonsai Beach - the most popular beach on Phi Phi Don island. It is located in the bay of the same name in the south of the isthmus. In the center of Tonsai the sea is not swimmable; the main pier of the island is located there, where this part of the coast is filled with boats. In the western part of Tonsai Beach you can swim during high tide; here the beach strip is quite wide, the sand is clean, and Phi Phi hotels with their own beaches are located nearby. The eastern part of Tonsai Beach is calmer and less crowded, and is quite suitable for a beach holiday. Tonsai Beach is shallow and highly subject to tides. It is impossible to swim at low tide.

Near the beach there is the village of the same name, Tonsai Village, where the main infrastructure of Phi Phi Island is concentrated: hotels, restaurants, shops, a market, excursion agencies. A pleasant promenade stretches along the sea. Nightlife in Tonsai is represented by restaurants and bars, but generally they all close at 11-12 at night. Details about Tonsai beach with photos and videos:

Lo Dalam Beach

Loh Dalum Beach is located on the opposite side of the isthmus, a 10-minute walk from Tonsai. A nice beach in an almost closed bay, the sea here is shallow and always calm. The beach has quite fine white sand, a good entry into the sea, but, unfortunately, Lo Dalam beach is also highly susceptible to low tides, during which the sea goes almost to the end of the bay, exposing sharp stones and fragments of coral.

Lo Dalam beach is the most party beach on the island of Phi Phi Don, this is where everything is concentrated, right on the seashore there are the most popular bars and discos, where fire shows start from 9 pm, and then young people drink, dance and have fun almost until the morning. After nightly gatherings, the beach is cleaned in the morning, but there is still garbage left in some places. Details about Lo Dalam beach with photos and videos:

Long Beach

Long Beach – my favorite beach on Phi Phi Don island. Quite a long beach with clean white sand and bright blue sea. There are low tides, but they do not interfere with swimming. The entrance to the sea is quite sharp; you can swim almost immediately near the shore. There are no stones or coral fragments at the bottom, the bottom is clean and pleasant to the touch. Not far from the shore there is a coral reef and Shark Point, where you can see sharks (early in the morning!). There are only a few hotels on Long Beach, you can rent a sun lounger and an umbrella, and there is a fresh shower. After 9-10 pm life on Long Beach comes to a standstill; at night it is quiet. An ideal place for a long holiday on Phi Phi. You can get to Long Beach from Tonsai either through the jungle or by boat for 100 baht per person (day rate). More details about Long Beach here:

Monkey beach

Monkey Beach , the beach where monkeys live :) A small beach in a bay west of Lo Dalam. The beach is very beautiful: lush green vegetation, rocks that come almost close to the shore, snow-white sand and many wild monkeys :) There are no hotels on Monkey Beach, and you cannot get to it by land. You can only get to Monkey Beach by water: by boat or kayak from Lo Dalam. A visit to this beach on Phi Phi Don island is part of all the activities, so there are a lot of tourists here during the day. Read about Monkey Beach here:

Nui beach

Nui Beach – a small beach in a secluded bay north of Lo Dalam. You can only get there by kayak or boat.

Phi Phi Don beaches in the bays southeast of Tonsai

If you follow the path along the sea from Tonsai to Long Beach, there will be four bays with small beaches along the way. The first two beaches are near the Bay View Resort and Arayaburi Resort hotels in quiet calm bays, a little further are the hotel beaches.

If you want almost your own beach, then choose one of these hotels on Phi Phi.

One of the beaches in the bay on the way from Tonsai to Long Beach
Beach of the Viking Resort Hotel

Loh Moo Dee Beach is located south of Long Beach, behind a rocky cape. There are no hotels or other infrastructure, but only one small cafe. The beach is attractive because here, unlike other Phi Phi Don beaches, palm trees grow on the shore, a lot of palm trees :) and not deciduous or coniferous trees. The palm grove is the hallmark of Loh Moo Dee beach. And there are almost never tourists here!

You can get to this beach by boat (600 baht for two one way from Tonsai), by kayak or on foot through the mountains. If you go from Long Beach, you need to go through the last hotel Phi Phi The Beach Resort, follow the signs up the mountain, and then go down through the palm grove to the beach.

Northern beaches of Phi Phi island

Northern beaches of Phi Phi, namely Laem Tong Beach And Loh Bagao Bay We didn’t have time to visit, I can only say that these are the beautiful beaches of Phi Phi Island for a quiet and relaxing holiday. They are located quite far from all the main infrastructure and entertainment of Phi Phi, you can get there either on foot through the mountains (walk to, climb up, and then go down the path through the jungle on the other side) or by boat by sea. A ferry from Phuket goes to Laem Thong Beach a couple of times a day.

The best hotels on Phi Phi Island are located on these beaches, suitable for a relaxing family or romantic vacation.

And now about the beaches of Phi Phi, which are located on neighboring islands and are part of the Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. To visit these beaches you need to pay entrance to the national park, the official cost is 400 baht for adults and 200 baht for children. Of course, there are no hotels on these beaches.

Maya Bay Beach

Maya Bay Beach – a beach in the bay of the same name on the island of Phi Phi Le. It became very popular among tourists after the release of the film “The Beach”. The bay is actually very beautiful, closed on almost all sides by high rocks, lush tropical vegetation, clear sea, but the idyll is spoiled by numerous boats and tourists. It is better to visit the beach in the first half of the day. Details about Maya Bay beach:

Bamboo Beach

Chic beach on Bamboo Island - this is where the real tropical paradise is 🙂 Almost “Bounty”, but without palm trees 🙂 Snow-white sand, bright azure sea, a good reef with fish nearby. Despite the large number of tourists on the beach you can find an almost secluded place. I recommend coming here for the whole day. More details about Bambu beach here:

Beach on Mosquito Island

Small narrow beach on Mosquito island . There are no people, no civilization either :) A good place for relaxation and snorkeling.

Beach on Mosquito Island

Which beach on Phi Phi should you choose for your holiday? What are the best beaches in Phi Phi?

Of all the beaches I visited, I liked it the most beach on Bamboo island And Long Beach on Phi Phi Don.

If you are young and active, if your main purpose of visiting Phi Phi is an excursion during the day and dancing on the beach in the evening, then it will be most convenient to stay in Tosnai or Lo Dalam. If you are looking for a place for a beach holiday or a holiday with children on Phi Phi and nightlife does not interest you at all, then choose the northern beaches of Phi Phi: Laem Thong or Lo Bahao. If you mostly want to get a beach holiday, but still plan to get out in public several times in Tonsai or Lo Dalam, then choose Long Beach, and I also highly recommend considering the Viking Resort Hotel, which not only has It has two small beaches in bays, and is also conveniently located between Tonsai and the best beach on the island!

Maps of Phi Phi Island in Thailand are of utmost importance when planning a vacation in this amazing place in the Land of Smiles, which until recently was practically unknown to foreign tourists, but today has become widely known. Despite the fact that the Phi Phi archipelago includes 6 islands: two larger and 4 tiny ones, travelers are most interested in the central and also large island - Phi Phi Don. Only this island today has all the infrastructure necessary for a comfortable and civilized holiday, and it is the maps of the island of Phi Phi Don that are mainly presented on this page.

The first part of the selection of maps of Phi Phi Island presents those that give a general idea of the island: its geographical location relative to other islands and mainland resorts in Thailand. Some of these maps also provide insight into beaches of Phi Phi island and bays that are formed by the bizarre contours of the coastline. Finally, these same maps allow you to get a good idea of the main objects on the island, which are located both in the main settlement itself and at some distance from it.

The second part of the selection of maps of Phi Phi Island in Thailand consists of those that give the best possible idea of the main island settlement of Phi Phi Don, located on the narrow isthmus between Tonsai and Long Dalum bays and the beaches of the same name. Phi Phi Don Island today has facilities necessary for a comfortable and complete holiday, such as hotels of various price categories, grocery and industrial stores, bank branches, cafes, restaurants, excursion bureaus, etc.

Therefore, the maps presented in the second section have appropriate symbols and captions that make planning a vacation on Phi Phi Island and actually staying on it easy and carefree. Each of those presented in compilation of map of Phi Phi island has a brief description located underneath it, allowing you to understand the value of this particular card and the scope of its application while traveling around islands of Krabi province in Thailand.

1. Map of the Phi Phi Islands: location in the Andaman Sea

A map of the Phi Phi Islands in the Andaman Sea, which clearly shows the location of the archipelago in relation to such popular resorts as Phuket Island and the mainland of Krabi province. Despite the fact that on the map the Phi Phi Islands occupy the main area, their size is relatively small, the actual size of the islands highlighted in yellow on the map can be imagined by looking at the point of their actual location, which is circled in white. This Phi Phi map shows the actual distance by sea to Phuket (48 km) and to the coast of Krabi province (42 km).

The same map shows almost all the bays on the islands of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley, as well as other interesting or useful places to visit: the tourist police office, the Viking cave, the location of hotels on the island, etc. By the way, Krabi province maps, posted on a separate page of the site , also allow you to clearly see the location of the Phi Phi Islands in the Thai waters of the Andaman Sea.

2. Map of Phi Phi Don island with hotels

This Phi Phi island map It also allows you to navigate the location of certain bays, along the shores of which there are mainly beaches of the same name. The map also shows all the observation platforms that allow you to admire the panorama of Phi Phi Don Island from above, having overcome varying degrees of walking. Since the center of island life is a village located on the territory of a narrow isthmus in the central part, most hotels in Phi Phi Island noted in this area. However, several hotels are also noted on other beaches, which can always be reached along narrow island paths or by long-tail boats.

3. Tourist map of Phi Phi Don island: Tonsai village

A map of the central part of Phi Phi Don island, which can be very useful when searching for a specific hotel you are interested in and simply for quickly navigating around the island and quickly finding the infrastructure you need. This map of Phi Phi Don shows the main island ferry pier (next to which the ferry itself is shown on the map), the main streets of the island village are drawn, on which hotels and guesthouses of the island, numerous excursion bureaus, cafes, bars, restaurants, massage parlors, branches are marked banks, post office, tourist police and much other useful information. Since the map covers only part of the island of Phi Phi Don, it shows the directions along which you need to move from the island village to the local hospital, to this or that beach or observation deck of Phi Phi Don island.

4. Map of Phi Phi Don island with ferry schedule

A fairly universal map, which also shows the main village on Phi Phi Don island. A distinctive feature of this map is that hotels and guesthouses are not marked on it, but most bars, restaurants, cafes and tourist offices are marked. It is also very pleasant that this map of Phi Phi Don shows the stores of the popular retail chain 7Eleven, which are distinguished by a wide range and reasonable prices. However, the main value of this card is the ferry schedule, with which you can get to Phi Phi from Krabi, go to Phi Phi Don from Phuket, get to Phi Phi Don or leave from it to Koh Lanta or to the mainland resort of Ao Nang. Below the schedule you can clearly see the ferry routes that transport passengers between the main Thai resorts in the Andaman Sea.

5. The best map of Phi Phi Don island in high resolution

This map of the central part of Phi Phi Don island, in my opinion, is the best, not so much because of its information content. which, by the way, is at its best, but also thanks to its technical execution. Firstly, the map is presented in high resolution, i.e. Even with significant magnification, blurring of objects and fonts does not occur. Secondly, the main background of the card is the usual white color. Perhaps it is not so beautiful and colorful, but from the point of view of the speed of finding the necessary information, this is a big plus: all fonts and icons are perfectly readable and do not merge with each other.

Despite the fact that this map of Phi Phi Island does not have an extensive “legend”, which usually allows you to quickly decipher the meaning of certain icons, this cannot be called a disadvantage of this map, because almost all the icons are duplicated with perfectly readable text information. In general, the map shows almost everything that travelers on Phi Phi Island might need: many hotels, locations of bank branches, ATMs, chain stores, catering outlets, bars, tour desks, attractions, diving schools, massage parlors, etc.

Another very interesting feature of this map of Phi Phi Don island is the route marked on it from the ferry pier to the main observation deck of the island, which is its calling card. You just need to follow the route marked with a dotted line and check the correctness of your actions by the objects located on the sides. That's all for now Phi Phi island maps, which in my opinion contain all the necessary information for a holiday on the island. I wish you a pleasant stay in this amazing place!
