The aero complex operates around the clock, 7 days a week. It consists of four terminals:

1. T1 serves international flights with the exception of the Schengen area.
2. T2 - Schengen passenger flights.

4. T4 - government and VIP flights.

Also, the 4th terminal serves air taxi. You can get to the city center by bus. Regular buses No. 119 and 100 run here. They can take you to one of the city's metro stations. Today Letняany is the only air hub in the capital that can be reached by metro from almost any part of the city. This makes this complex very convenient for flights to other cities of the country and for arriving in the capital from other regions.

The first term was built in 1923. Initially, aircrafts of Czechoslovakia were tested here. In the 60s, residential areas began to be erected near the complex. Due to the construction of houses, the runway had to be significantly reduced. In addition, it was even necessary to change the axis of the strip. Information about the possible closure of the airport began to appear in the media. Only in 2007, after the purchase of the air complex by an investment company, work began again on the reconstruction of the runway, the foundation was repaired, etc.

Tochna Airport (does not serve major flights, currently closed)

It is a non-public terminal serving domestic flights. Located in the southern part of the Czech capital. It was closed for renovations 6 years ago. To this day, this air hub does not serve flights. The airport has only one GDP, the length of which is 870 m.

Waterways

This air complex is located 7 km from the capital. It serves a large number of non-public international flights. Mainly charter and cargo flights are served here. The territory has a main runway and an emergency runway. All of them have special lighting to increase the degree of safety when taking off or landing at night.

When shopping in the Czech Republic, you can get a refund of value added tax in the amount of 10% to 17% depending on the purchase amount and the type of product (for example, for medicines, the refund is 15%), if the total amount of purchases in one check from one store (checks not cumulative) amounted to 2001 Czech, the store participates in the "Tax Free Shopping" program (this is indicated by the inscription on the store doors), and you asked the seller in the store to issue a special form "Tax Free Form Vat Refund" before paying for the purchase. Note that VAT is not refundable for food and drinks! Refunds are made when crossing the border of the European Union, that is, in our case, at the Prague International Airport.
