An airport is far from an ordinary building that provides takeoff and landing of aircraft, in fact, it is a whole system, on the functionality of which safety, level of service, etc. depend. Tens of thousands of people work at airports, and every day the number of specialists intending to get a job there continues to grow. Today, quite often you can catch a genuine interest in what the salary is at the airport.

Salaries at the airport primarily depend on who you are by profession and on what position you hold. Despite this, it should be noted that in order for specialists to perform their work efficiently and as quickly as possible, the airport management intentionally increases the salaries of its employees. It should be noted that the salary at the airport depends on the responsibility of the employee - if it is necessary to regularly be responsible for the technical condition of the systems of the airport complex, to check the operability of the airport equipment, to ensure the safety of flights, then it can be assumed that the salary in this case will be very high.

So, a driver working directly on the territory of the airport claims, as a rule, for 40-45 thousand rubles, while an environmental engineer working in a position has every reason to receive more than 70 thousand rubles. This is a very real salary in the capital's airports, however, the question may arise, what is the salary at an airport located in regions far from the capital? In this case, everything primarily depends on the activities of the airport. If the air transport hub is popular with Russian and foreign airlines, dozens of flights are made from it every day, then it is quite reasonable to talk about high wages. So, engineering and technical personnel holding a certain position can receive from 30 thousand rubles, but everything depends on the specific specialization and the position held. As a rule, salaries at such airports rarely exceed the 50 thousand rubles limit, but ordinary staff will have even less salaries.

What is the salary in foreign airports? Here, to a greater extent, everything depends on your experience and professionalism, and if we consider large European airports, the salary here fluctuates between 3-4 thousand euros, but if we are talking about the salary of persons holding a certain position, then the conversation is already is about 8-10 thousand dollars.

Airport work seems elite to many. And this is not at all surprising, because the career of an airport employee is associated not only with a high degree of responsibility, punctuality and composure, but also with the real romance of flights, the opportunity to meet new people, countries and their customs. In childhood, many girls dream of becoming charming stewardesses, and boys - gallant pilots. If you still haven't given up on your dream, then you should take a number of simple steps.

Decide on the position for which you are applying. On the territory of the airport, there are a number of places for which no special training is required: loaders, cleaners, porters. There will be a place for trade workers. Airports usually have an abundance of shops, kiosks, shopping pavilions. The waiter can easily find a job in numerous restaurants, and the cashier - in currency exchange offices.

Do not forget about an important subtlety: to work in such organizations, you will need knowledge of foreign languages. Everyone will need spoken English, and if you speak other foreign languages, then this will be a definite plus in your resume.

After choosing a position, assess the level of your education. The profession of a dispatcher or an airliner pilot is not available to those who do not have a higher specialized education. But for employees of multiple technical services, an average specialized level is sufficient. Special thematic certificates will be a significant advantage on the path of employment.

Study the list of vacancies. There are many sites on the Internet that provide information on finding new employees. Often, airline employees own this data. Post your resume online or give it directly to a human resources employee. If you are suitable, then your candidacy will be considered and invited for an interview.

Do not regard airport work as a pleasant pastime. Do not forget that she has a whole host of negative aspects: a shift schedule with night shifts, remoteness from the city, constant stress, a high degree of responsibility for her actions. Assess the pros and cons before deciding to work at the airport.

Each of the Moscow airports is a promising and actively developing infrastructure. In addition to the fact that any station or airport is the center of the departure and arrival of transport, the loading and unloading business is also developing here. At any airport, the human factor plays a huge role, on which the operation of equipment and passenger service depends. Management is attentive to the selection of personnel who will serve clients on board the aircraft and on the ground. All employees undergo a series of difficult tests and are checked for professional suitability, because working at the airport is not only profitable, but very interesting and prestigious.

What can any of the transportation and transportation centers provide to the applicant? First, there are regular frequent bonuses, and sick leave. Secondly, this is an additional important point on the resume. Airport work is prestigious, and if you leave this job, other employers, seeing your track record, will not be able to deny you the position. Working at the airport gives you a chance not only to establish yourself as a good specialist in a particular field, but also to meet interesting people, to establish business or personal relationships.

Work at Vnukovo airport

Vnukovo is one of the oldest airports in the capital. It accepts both cargo and passenger flights. It has a developed network of routes and routes, serves both ordinary flights and special flights (flights of members of the Government of the Russian Federation and the President). On average, the airport serves 7.5 million people a year. Every year, about a hundred thousand flights take off and land to all points. As for vacancies, at the moment such a developed infrastructure needs both ordinary employees who do not have professional qualifications (cashiers, security guards, waiters, sellers, loaders, dishwashers, etc.), and high-class specialists (accountant, lawyer, administrator, etc.). On average, salaries at airports are slightly higher than those paid in small companies. All this happens due to government support and large trade turnover. Having settled here, for example, as a sales assistant, you can earn five times more than an office worker in a province of the Moscow region.

Work. Domodedovo airport

Domodedovo has its own, thanks to which all industries involved in the operation of the airport are interconnected and do not interfere with each other. About 13 thousand employees work here, who monitor the process of transportation, safety of goods and passenger service (from janitors to directors of various directions). Almost all airport employees have a university degree, which guarantees specialized service. It also provides training for future employees. For example, stewards are trained here, who within a few months become real professionals and can fly on international flights. There is also a personnel reserve (in case of an increase in staff). If you want to join their friendly team, it is worth submitting your resume. And wait for an answer. Working at the airport is a great chance to make yourself known! Go for it!

An employee of the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport spoke anonymously about drug trafficking, terrorists and other things that happen at airports every year.

About who works at the airport

Different specialists work at the airport: those who check you in for the flight, drivers, loaders, special control that inspects you, customs officers who control border crossing, FSB agents who prevent terrorist attacks and catch illegal migrants trying to fly from Russia to European countries. There are, for example, visa specialists. They can be asked any question: "I need to go to Papua New Guinea, with what visa can I go there?" - and they will answer.

By the way, everyone thinks that the visa is checked at passport control. In fact, this is not the case. This is the responsibility of the girl who checks you in for the flight. And visas are tricky, a visa can be valid for six months and multiple, but a person can spend, for example, four days in the country. And if a person is not allowed into the country because of a visa, he will be deported at the expense of the airline, and the expenses are taken from the girl at registration.

We have, for example, a first-aid post. But it is located in a common area. And if someone feels bad in duty free, then the medic cannot just come to the control and say: "Guys, someone is bad there, can we get through?" They, together with everyone, are very carefully checked, while they also have jars with them, which are more difficult to check. It may take an hour and a half to two. Flight safety comes first. This is Sheremetyev's joint. There should be a first-aid post in every terminal, but they save on everything, so many terminals have a door with a first-aid post sign, but no one is sitting there.

About the main employees

We have a service that serves VIP clients. If you are a VIP client, it means that you will have a separate waiting room, you will be taken to the plane before boarding opens, you will not need to stand in queues at passport control either. In general, anyone can order this if they want to boo. This is usually interested in football teams, some pop stars like Galkin, Pugacheva, Kirkorov, but black star Timati does not pay for any special service, stands with everyone in queues. Deputies and diplomats have their own separate center "Hall of officials and delegations", they are served only there.

Customs officers consider themselves the most important employees of the airport. It happens that a young guy comes there to work, you see - a year later he drives a Lexus. But the real chief, of course, are the FSB officers. They are generally good guys. Only very serious ones. They have huge discounts at duty free, under New Year the store is simply cleaned out, all the thieves are purchased in full. But we must give them their due: if you ask them for a discount card, they will give it to you too. Although you are a humble employee who checks flights.

We serve not only large airlines. Private jets can stay with us too. It happens that the plane flew and flew, something happened, there were some problems on board - it requests a landing. Once an unidentified object flew to us from somewhere from Central Asia, I had to go with the FSB officers to the plane, check what they were carrying. The FSB joked: "Imagine, now the door will open, and there are terrorists." It was night, scary. We opened the doors, and there seemed to be a luggage compartment, a lot of cargo and people somehow accommodated themselves, wrapped in blankets so as not to freeze. They practically did not speak Russian, the plane flew from somewhere from Central Asia. In general, I still do not know what kind of people they were and what happened to their plane. But, apparently, not terrorists.

About jokes

We usually don't joke about terrorists. Especially after the explosion at Domodedovo. We were very scared then, everyone thought that there would be a whole series of terrorist attacks. The control at the airport was really strengthened after that. Previously, everyone was freely allowed into the common area, the security uncles simply asked: “What do you have? Large suitcase? Okay, come in, there is nothing forbidden there? "

There is no need to joke about “I planted a bomb for you there” or “I will blow you all up”. Any employee has the right and even is obliged to call the police in this case, and they will carefully examine you. And the inspection can take a long time - there is a risk of being late for the plane. There were precedents.

About drug trafficking

Of course, we do not know how the FSB is fighting terrorists: they cannot be told about it. But it happened that you come to work, and you have such a small piece of paper under the check-in counter - there is written a name, surname, “presumably will fly from Egypt” in some of these numbers. And you understand what that means. This name, which consists of six words, is immediately remembered. This means that if this person arrives from Egypt on such and such dates, then you need to be especially careful when checking passports and immediately report where to.

But I have never come across such a person really arriving. I can't even imagine what I would do: you open your passport - and this is it! And you think: will he blow up something now or later?

We only face drug traffickers and illegal migrants. Once I was sitting in the transit zone, it is in the duty free zone, that is, the person has already passed the entire pre-flight inspection, now, sit down and fly away. An uncle ran to the window, clutching his stomach, and said: “Guys, I have heroin in my stomach, a bag has torn, I'm going to die. Please call someone. "

About illegal migrants

Illegal migrants often try to fly away from Moscow somewhere, they are caught by FSB officers. One day an employee beckons me to translate the words of a black passenger. An employee shows me a photograph in a foreigner's passport and asks: "Looks like?" At first it seems that he looks like, then I start to look closely - it seems not him. In the photograph, the ears are much smaller than in real life. He became indignant, “I don’t know anything, I am a citizen of the Netherlands! I flew to my friends, let me in Amsterdam! " Then he went on the offensive altogether: “We blacks have ears growing all our lives, why are you hanging on to me? Is it because I'm black? I'll sue you! " But maybe in America someone would be frightened by the accusation of racism, but not in Russia.

Later, when he realized that he had been caught, he admitted that he was from Kenya, worked as a stripper in Russia and dreamed of flying away in search of a better life to the Netherlands. The FSB leads such people out of the arrival area itself, they notice who is behaving somehow unnaturally, they follow him and after he has passed passport control, that is, crossed the border and there is a fact of violation of the law, they catch the criminal. That guy really asked not to send him back to Kenya, because it's bad there. But he will be sent.

At one time people lived in Sheremetyevo. Nobody knows how they got there, they appeared there long before I came to work: a black family and an Indian. They slept on cardboard boxes, washed in toilets. I don't know what actually happened to them, but according to legend, they ate their passports so as not to fly to their home. That is, it was not clear which country they were citizens of, where to deport them and what to do with them. But then they disappeared from the airport.

Although sometimes passport problems happen by accident. I will never forget how English fans came to our match between Chelsea and Manchester United. Well, I was very sorry for my uncle, who came with a child, and at passport control the child takes a passport and tears it in two. Dad and son stayed with us in the transit office to watch football on TV. When Chelsea lost, he was completely upset.

I will say right away that I will not name the airport, but it is located in the EU.

How did I get there

I never even dreamed of getting to the airport. It seemed to me that they only take their own people there and everything is very, very difficult.

Once I came across an advertisement that required employees for the position of "aviation security inspector". Responsibilities: checking carry-on baggage and checked baggage, control of passengers and airport staff. So it was written in the ad. I will tell you a little later how it was in practice.

I sent a letter of motivation and resume. They called a week later, invited for an interview. It was held in three languages \u200b\u200b(including English). All those who passed the interview went to take tests the next day - language, logic, speed, ability to distinguish colors and objects. They also gave X-ray pictures of bags, in which it was necessary to find a knife or a pistol in 4 seconds.

Training

Further training, which lasted three weeks. Before the courses, I had to go through a medical examination at my own expense, get a certificate from a narcologist and a psychiatrist. At this stage, people were eliminated, because not everyone has so much money at the initial stage of work. You don't even know if you end up getting a job. General expenses - 100 euros.

By the way, the check-in has two weekly courses. Some only have a couple of days. The courses were paid, from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. There was an introductory course on aviation in general, terms, prohibited items, and hazardous substances were taught. They talked about the airport system, premises, security system, other departments, etc. Written test every two to three days. In the course of the courses, people dropped out, because they did not have time to assimilate the material. They talked a lot about terrorism, aircraft-related accidents. They showed various videos from airport cameras, commented on them.

Integration

All those who successfully passed the tests became trainees for three weeks. Each had their own practice leader. We were essentially a shadow. That is, they completely repeated everything that the leader told, did what they said. In fact, this is a very important stage, because at this moment you understand whether you want to work in this position at all.

Now you can tell what the "aviation security inspector" really is. This is a person who:

1. Works in the terminal on the fast track, ticket control in front of him, in the terminal on the lines. Simply put, this is the one who asks you to remove all things, sits behind an x-ray or near an arch.

2.There are also posts. For example, in the VIP center of the airport, and in business aviation terminals, where only private planes are located, on non-standard checked baggage, etc.

During the practice, the scheme of checking people with their hands is "honed" - those who had an arch signal. At the beginning of my studies, this was the most unpleasant part for me, but then you get used to it. At our airport, women were checked by women, men by men.

pros

There is always a lunch break - an hour. The staff has its own kitchen (each department has its own), recreation area, classrooms, nous, various board games. There are water coolers everywhere.

You can work on the lines with gloves, which are available in unlimited quantities. Rubber, like doctors, or rags. I worked exclusively with gloves. You should know what dirty suitcases people have! After the fifth bag, the hands are all black. Plus, when you open the bag, you can cut yourself. A colleague once cut her hand on a razor that was lying in a suitcase. Each line has hand sanitizers and a first aid kit.

A stable salary (although they saved a lot on us), everything is official. Each employee had insurance. The dentist was paid 50 percent.

Chip flights. A certain airline (not a low-cost airline) offered tickets to airport employees for € 30 one way. Business class - 150. Any place in the world where this airline flies.

A complete set of uniforms was issued. Four shirts - two with short sleeves and two with long sleeves. Also tie, trousers, skirt, vest, jacket and heels. Dry cleaning at the expense of the employer.

Free transport to and from work.

A very romantic job. I really miss her. I am thinking about returning, but to a higher position.

Minuses

They paid really little. Enough only to pay bills and eat.

Physically challenging work. Constantly in heels, you can rarely sit down. Thousands of passengers pass every day and everyone thinks they are special.

Many shifts, few days off. And the only thing that excites is sleep. At the end of the work, I was not interested in relationships, parties and travel.

Passengers

Very, very different. The hardest part was working with passengers from Russia. I really don't want to offend anyone, but for me it was just a tragedy. After flights to Moscow, I was most tired. Many people speak only (!) Russian. They were rude to colleagues who did not understand Russian or spoke very badly. We were reluctant to open our bags, and we wrote complaints all the time.

Most of the passengers from Scandinavia were over 65, all with metal prostheses. They always had to be additionally checked by hand.

Many men really don't know what's in their bags because their wives collected them. There are also those who carry tons of cosmetics to their wife, perfume, clothes. Of my things, only panties, a T-shirt and shaving foam :)

Passenger capabilities

If you have a disability, a broken arm, a leg, you cannot see or hear, there is an agent service at airports who will take you to the important gate for FREE, help you carry bags, etc. If you have a broken leg or are in a wheelchair, the agent will provide you with a wheelchair free of charge and will be your companion. It is best to inform about the need for this agent on the check-in.

You can also use the fast track service for free if you have a disability or are limited in movement.

If you are wearing religious clothing or jewelry, for reasons of ethics, you have the right not to take off in front of the passage through the arch, but be prepared that then you can be checked by hand or in the security room.

You can take baby liquids with you and carry them as carry-on luggage... There are no restrictions. The only condition is that your child is not 15 years old and there is no whiskey and cola in the bottle. The liquid may be scanned or the child may be asked to try it.

GOOD TO ALL!

About the selected things

If scissors have been taken away from you, or, for example, a very expensive cream that exceeds the norm, then you do not have to say goodbye to it :) You have the right to give the thing to the mourners, check it in as checked baggage (for a fee, it will be packed in a box as luggage) or leave in the airport storage room
