We have always been convinced that the opportunity to go shopping in beautiful modern stores, where the choice is wide and the prices are pleasing to the eye and wallet, should not only be available to residents of big cities. Therefore, branded stores trading network regularly appeared in regional centers and small towns. The company has repeatedly stated that it is ready to build stationary stores in villages where more than 500 people live, and to serve smaller villages with the help of mobile stores. However, last year, for reasons beyond the company’s control, a stationary store opened only in the agricultural town of Porechye. But the company found an alternative to the store: this year Euroopt acquired another know-how - bus services to the nearest supermarket.

Intercity flight with a visit to the store

In fact, such bus routes are nothing new for the retail chain. It’s just that before they existed exclusively in major cities and they gave me a free ride local residents to the largest hypermarket of the chain and back. These flights operated in Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, Pinsk and Lida. Now the usual scheme has acquired a much greater scope. In just two weeks in January, Euroopt launched 16 new bus routes in ten regions of the country. The system works very simply: branded comfortable buses pick up residents of villages and villages and take them to the regional center to the store. On this moment the new Euroopta project involves Braslav, Vetka, Yelsk, Khoiniki, Narovlya, Slonim, Volozhin, Uzda, Starye Dorogi and Klimovichi.

One “European Wholesale” bus can accommodate 40 people: half of them will travel sitting, half – standing. To ensure that everyone has time to go shopping, buses run from two to four times a week and make three trips a day. their work was compiled taking into account the wishes of residents.

In essence, Belarusians living in the outback received an intercity bus service. A villager can leave his village in the morning on a “European wholesale” bus, do all the necessary things in the regional center, go to the store for some shopping and go home in the evening, and even with gifts. But many of them do not often get the chance to get to the city, not to mention the fact that it is often physically difficult for pensioners to do this.

You did a great job! We live in our villages like bears in dens, especially in winter. And then at least I got out into the city and visited my colleagues in the area. I saw people and made the necessary purchases,” Belarusians who have already used the new bus service praise the idea of the retail network.

"This is ours social project for villagers"

The “European wholesale” flight has another significant advantage: it will cost passengers free. Or rather, the bus will take you from the village to the regional center just like that, and on the way back the ticket will be a check from Euroopt. By the way, the villagers will be taken not to a simple convenience store (its equivalent can sometimes be found in their home village), but to a branded standard supermarket with an area of 1000 square meters. This means that the residents have small settlements they will have the opportunity to purchase products that they simply cannot find at home. Supermarkets of this format always have fresh vegetables and fruits, cut meats, fish and seafood, wide choose dairy, baked goods, cooking, ready meals, as well as an expanded range of manufactured goods. In short, the choice is exactly the same as that of residents of large cities.

Of course, for Euroopt itself, launching such regular routes is by no means a way to make money. Company specialists estimate that on average, buses transport about 550 customers per day per trip. Not such a big flow to talk about any serious increase in profits.

Firstly, every customer is important to us, and everyone is a welcome guest,” says General Director of the Euroopt network Philip Artemenko.- This is a priori. Without such an approach, it is impossible to engage in retail trade at all! And secondly, who said that we decided to make big money on rural routes? This is our goodwill gesture for the villagers. If you want, it’s a social project through which we not only improve trade services in villages, but also simply make life in the countryside a little more pleasant and comfortable.

Indeed, this is not the first time that Euroopt has taken on social projects. For example, last year the company distributed a 5% discount to large families and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. By the way, you can use discount cards in drive-thru stores in the same way as in regular stationary stores, which means you can save on food.

Of course, Euroopt is not going to stop there. The company plans to open new bus routes in other areas of the country, and this will be done at the request of local residents. New flights should appear in the near future.

AND AT THIS TIME

Buyers choose Euroopt

At the end of January, the winners of the annual professional competition “Brand of the Year” were honored for the 14th time at the Beijing Hotel. Euroopt was not left without a well-deserved award: the country’s largest retailer received the “Brand Leader” diploma in the “Hypermarkets, shopping centers and retail chains." What this means, first of all, is that the customers themselves gave high marks to the retail chain. After all, the jury made its decision based on the results of a consumer survey. By the way, “Euroopt” has become a laureate of this competition for the sixth time.

Customer recognition is the most important reward for us, representatives of retail trade, admitted Philip Artemenko, General Director of the Euroopt chain.- Our retail facilities - from hypermarkets to convenience stores - are not just a business. This is work for the people, aimed at meeting the needs of Belarusian customers in modern forms of retail trade. A prestigious consumer award is not only an assessment by society of our work, but also an order not to slow down, to continue to meet people's needs, to develop modern trading services and improve its quality. And we, of course, will continue to justify customer trust in the future!
