In principle, everyone was satisfied with the food. Friends almost always went to the beginning of lunch and dinner, and we almost to the end. There was always enough of everything and there wasn’t much difference from the start of the distribution, except for the queues.
The animation is normal, although there were days when instead of children's animation they included cartoons in English. The children naturally didn’t watch them. The animators are great, they try to diversify the holiday, often in the evenings there is karaoke and discos, there was live sound and so on.
We all chose the hotel based on the fact that it had a heated pool and a heated water park for children (we knew about the sea that it was shallow and without corals, and to see the fish we were ready to walk 1.5 km to the beach of the Tiran hotel and swim 1 km in shallow water sunken tanker to pontoon neighboring hotel(the guard did not let me onto the pontoon)). It turned out that the HEATING does NOT work in November. And even in December it is not a fact that it will be turned on. The hotel staff said that the water was already warm. Apparently that’s why not a single person swims in the pool, which should be heated, and in the water park, after 30 minutes of riding on the slides, children don’t get teeth on teeth.
But what darkened the holiday the most was the attitude of the bartenders on the beach and at the main bar (Terrace Bar). Considering that I drank 1-2 glasses of beer a day, I couldn’t help but notice this, and all my friends and vacationers complained. They gave beer in small plastic cups, half foamy, and only two per hand, but that’s okay, but they periodically ran out of it. And he was gone for an hour or two. You go up and ask, and they say that it will be in 20 minutes and so on for half the evening. On the beach, the beer always ended before lunch, because... they served French fries with fish, hamburgers, etc. And the bartenders understood that everyone would want beer with this meal. For 11 days there was no beer at lunchtime. But after lunch it miraculously appeared. All alcohol is very diluted with water. Not only is this locally produced alcohol, it is also diluted, making it impossible to drink. The bartenders are arrogant and rude, tourists start arguing and swearing with them. Ukrainian women generally came with their own containers, argued with the bartender, and in the end he still poured them :) In general, it is not clear whether this is the hotel’s policy, to save on guests as much as possible (dilute alcohol, do not serve beer at lunch, take breaks several hours so that less of it is wasted), or this is an alcoholic group of bartenders who drain the saved alcohol and sell it on the left. If it's the bartenders, you should JUST FIRED them and hire others. If it’s the hotel’s policy, then you don’t need to go to such a bargain hotel. But in more than 10-11 trips to Egypt, I have never seen such chaos in bars.
Naturally, we didn’t buy excursions from the tour operator in Tridoroga. We bought it on the beach, almost twice as cheap as Teztur. But after a boat excursion to the reserve, we found the Sim-Sim agency right next to the hotel on the street. So they are still two times cheaper than on the beach. We also took a boat from them to Tiran Island, $12 per person. There are no differences from the beach and Tezturovsky ones, even the service is better. So don’t feed these outbids, go outside the hotel, buy excursions and go for half the price (for example, quads on the beach are $15, and for a sim sim it’s $6, by boat on the island of Tiran on the beach $20-25 per person , sim-sim has $12, I’m silent about the tour).
A separate topic is beach towels. They almost never existed! This is nonsense, knowing the number of towel cards issued, not having the required supply. Moreover, there was only one point for issuing towels in the entire hotel, and they kept saying, come back in half an hour, but they never showed up, they could, of course, appear, but after an hour or two, or they might not show up at all. Sometimes it was still possible to run into towels and take them. I just had to not hand them over.
There are very few sun loungers on the beach. At 10-11 am there were no more people available. At the same time, there were a lot of them at the pool, because... No one swam in the cold pool. And under the two non-functional slides there were large stacks of sun loungers, which they didn’t even deign to bring and place on the beach. Because there were at least 1-2 rows of umbrellas on the beach under which you could place them. There is some sense of confusion in the organization and management of the hotel.
Ala carte: out of 4 restaurants, only 1 was open, Chinese, but it was impossible to sign up for it. Then they opened an Italian restaurant, but closed the Chinese one. As a result, we were only able to get into an Italian restaurant through a reservation, although we had signed up for a Chinese one. And at the same time, the girls who recorded tried their best to help get from the reserve to the restaurant, they said that they were begging the administration to add additional time and places, but they didn’t really listen to them. Moreover, when we were in an Italian restaurant, half the tables were empty. And this restaurant served food without ordering. Those. They brought what they had. (Wine, soup, salad, table spaghetti with dry chicken breast, dessert). I've been to ala carte for so many times, this is the first time I've seen that they don't give you a menu to order.
