    • Las Olas I and Las Olas II. The work will take place from July 1 to December 15, 2019. Working hours from 08:00 to 20:00. Services (snacks and drinks) will continue to be provided as usual, but at the Piscis Restaurant and other locations located around the main pool and beach. The rooms closest to this area at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana, Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro and Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar will be locked down and out of use during this period to minimize any inconvenience guests may experience.

    • The Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda is creating new water park. It will be located next to the Los Geranios Buffet restaurant. They will also build a snack bar with a terrace next to it. Due to the location of the work, no major disruption to room relaxation is expected.

      Repair on the terrace of the lobby bar at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana will be held from 20 August to 30 November. Due to the location of these works, there should be no problem in the rooms. All services will continue as usual in the lobby bar.

In November, booked on the advice of the operator (not Manzana) Bahia Principe Premer as a children's hotel, which has a "children's" package in the rooms in the form of bathrobes for children, milk in the minibar and small similar items for children.
But we couldn’t find any reviews about this particular hotel in the Gran Bahia Principe network ... A month before departure, we still found a review that said that the hotel is located on the territory of the network, but it is the most extreme to the road, that is, 20 minutes to the ocean on foot, yes, trains often go, but we considered that it was not a very convenient option for us with a stroller and turned to the tour operator with a request to replace the Bahia Principe Premer hotel with the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro hotel, which is located in close proximity to the ocean and walk to it 5 -7 minutes) The tour operator, having requested free places and charged us with an additional payment of about $ 900, rebooked the hotel for us. -200 dollars and they were moved to the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro hotel) - the advantage is proximity to the beach, the main restaurant and the rooms themselves are newer - four-poster bed, plasma and good new plumbing)
The voucher clearly indicates the name of the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro hotel and the name of the Family suit room, but at the reception we were immediately put on Premiere bracelets (even before check-in - to visit restaurants) with which we were not allowed into the main restaurant ... we suspected something was wrong and went to sort it out ... Bottom line - we were told that we did buy the Premier - and that the inscription on the Bavaro voucher does not mean anything and there is simply no category of Family Suit rooms in Bavaro. Rather, there are, but they are called Superior suit - that is, we have an error in the voucher - which was made by the operator and therefore we are accommodated in the Premier ... there were 20 of us from Ukraine ... at the reception they did not want to hear anything about our surcharges or about what the name of the hotel is still written on the voucher ... the guide of the host Terramar - Elena - behaved strangely - she did not take any part in the negotiations at all - at all! Having barely called her, she nevertheless arrived - she announced that she had written a letter to Kyiv and was waiting for what they would say, she did not even try to talk to the hotel staff. Let me remind you that it was Christmas - a day off and the time difference ... it was already late in the evening in Kyiv, that is, she knew perfectly well that no one would decide anything in Kyiv now and only she could provide us with at least some assistance in the negotiations, but no - she just told us about it, turned around and left without even trying to help (((
As a result, we were settled in the Premier at 17-00, the last and only of all with 2 children after a 12-hour flight ... By the way, there were no children's "packages" in Premier) no milk, no bathrobes - nothing!
After spending a lot of money and time in the next 2 days on negotiations with Kiev operators, after 2 nights we were moved to the right hotel…
After 2 days, the younger girl was poisoned, they ate only the maximum children's food ... they called the number in the insurance and ended up in the Travel Professional Group company ... why? It’s not clear - after all, they called the insurance company ... after long songs and melodies, they dictated the insurance number to us ... they called back the European Travel Insurance insurance company - they reported our coordinates and called the doctor for the child 1, 8, stating that we had poisoning and the child had vomiting and diarrhea ... they said that in 5 minutes they will call back and inform you when the doctor will arrive ... After 2 hours (!!!) without waiting for the call, we called back again ... again a new operator - 2 hours to clarify the data and again - “in 5 minutes we will call back and say when the doctor arrives” ... And ALL! Not a call ... we are experienced parents - we managed it ourselves - and we have medicines at the ready, but the fact itself - how is it possible - after all, a doctor is needed little child! We made 3 calls for 5-7 minutes, spending a lot of money on empty talk - we never saw a doctor, we never got a call (((
The next day I got poisoned ... the next day the eldest daughter ...
We told our guide about such poisonings - she reacted calmly, said that everyone here was poisoned and almost every 3 of her tourists were poisoned here (((

There are always sunbeds on the beach - despite the fact that the hotel was full, you can always find a sunbed, naturally you need to take it at 7 hours under an umbrella, but this is also not a problem)
Kitchen…very monotonous and relatively small assortment. There is nothing to feed the children - at all - in the evening even mashed potatoes cannot be found (Everything is breaded and in a bunch of sauces (
Animation is average - it is, but not a theater)) who wants to always find something to do)
Very weak children's animation - it is practically non-existent - children's disco - this is one dull animator and 5 children - although there are hundreds of them in the hotel.
No peacocks and other animals walked around the territory.
Russians and Ukrainians are often ignored, and at the reception and at the bar, first of all, Europeans and Americans will be served - this is very offending ...
So the hotel is a solid 3-4 with a stretch - and all because of the staff - the territory itself, the beach and the rooms are basically good, but the staff, the kitchen spoil everything (
Well, our operators distinguished themselves ... we will definitely return to the Dominican Republic to a decent hotel, but without our operators.

Have been gathering for a long time Dominican Republic, embarrassed only by a long flight and finally decided. We chose the Gran Bahia Princip for relaxation - the hotel turned out to be heavenly. The territory is huge, we didn’t have time to get around everything. Several swimming pools, a water park for children, mini golf, a mini club, a gym - the richest infrastructure! Even in the hotel lobby there was decent free internet, though only for one hour from one device - enough for correspondence with relatives. Meals at the hotel - a buffet, and the variety of dishes really rolled over. Meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits on the menu were full of abundance. I especially liked the Dominican ice cream, some of it is especially tasty! At lunch and dinner, drinks are served by the waiters, and they worked very quickly and accurately. There was a themed dinner every evening, plus 6 different restaurants on site (visiting them by appointment) - we liked Japanese and Mexican. And there were bars and eateries by the pools and on the beach - in general, it is impossible to stay hungry in the hotel! The coast and ocean are amazing. The sand on the beach is powdered sugar, walking is a pleasure! Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, and you can also take kayaks for an hour, of course, if the weather is normal. We were not very lucky with the weather. In the beginning, everything was super, no waves, no algae - the water surface was like glass, and in the end it was impossible to enter the water, only the marine flora near the buoys did not interfere with swimming. But it didn't spoil the holiday. The Dominican Republic impressed us with its beauty and hospitality.

We stayed here with our daughter for 10 days. We stopped in after lunch, literally in ten minutes everything was issued, they gave an envelope with a password from the Internet and settled. The apartments are spacious, there is where to roam. Towels and bath accessories were provided for everyone. In general, the service is top notch. Cleaning in the room is of high quality, daily. At the same time, when they hung a sign asking for cleaning, they cleaned it more carefully. Posh Huge open pool for adults and separately for small ones. Recreational activities are also held here. My wife and daughter went to aqua aerobics and something else. A lot of electric cars go to the sea, there are a lot of them, so there is no crush. The sea itself is, of course, very beautiful. White sand when there was no algae - crystal water, just a feast for the eyes. When there were a lot of algae, they walked along the coast in search of a place where there were fewer of them. This is perhaps the only negative. The restaurant pleased. Always delicious, dishes change, service is unobtrusive, but impeccable. I just want to say "thank you" for a wonderful stay.

As for me, the hotel is wonderful! Beautiful landscaped area, which is nice to walk around. A fairly large hotel room, where it is pleasant to return after the beach in the heat. Just a feast of the stomach, not restaurants! We tried European cuisine, Mexican and Japanese. I liked absolutely everything! The cocktails are also worth noting, they are really good. The hotel staff know their business and do it perfectly. Very cool animation program. Gorgeous pool, we escaped from the algae in the sea. The weather, by the way, did not disappoint - the average temperature for the rest was about 30 degrees, but it did not soar, although there is decent humidity. But this is so, by the way. And the hotel itself and its staff were remembered only by positive aspects.

We went to the Dominican Republic for the first time, before that we were in Turkey and Greece, so there is something to compare with. We chose the Gran Bahia Punta Cana hotel complex because of the reasonable price. Unrealistically cool rest! The territory is huge, a lot of two- and three-story buildings, these are all the hotels of this complex. There is a large swimming pool for adults and children, and one indoor. In the main pool, even bars are made, to which you can swim and sit on an underwater chair! Electric steam locomotives run throughout the territory, we used them to get to the beach when it was too lazy to stomp on foot. Very clean everywhere, greenery, palm trees, just a fairy tale! There was a storm of emotions when they began to distinguish parrots on the branches))) We have never had this before! The room was spacious, comfortable. They give out bathrobes, slippers, constantly replenish personal care products. There is a hair dryer, iron and even an umbrella in case of rain, it was quite unexpected). Air conditioning, ceiling fan work properly, mini bar is included in all inclusive. Regarding the restaurant, I can say that we did not see any dissatisfied people. Buffet, just a cornucopia of food. For every taste and in any quantity. There are also themed restaurants on site, they go by appointment in advance. We found out about it too late and didn't manage to get in. But even this did not upset me much, because every day the menu in the main restaurant was different! Now about the sea. Very, very warm! We were lucky, all our stay the amount of algae was very small! Azure water, velvet sand, shade from palm trees... Mmmm... Well, to be specific - beach towels can be changed daily, there are a lot of sunbeds, the applied algae are constantly removed. The staff is very qualified, especially the chefs. They speak good English, some understand Russian. What can I say, my husband and I have only the most pleasant memories, I think this summer we will visit this wonderful country again!

The vacation turned out to be amazing - we spent two weeks in Gran Bahia, in Pnuta Cana. The hotel rooms can be summed up in three words – spaciousness, comfort and luxury. We lived in the 17th villa, the apartments are bright and well-groomed - the main thing is not worn furniture and snow-white linen. In the minibar, water, tea, coffee and beer were included in the price and replenished regularly. There were no complaints about cleaning either, the girls did a great job! The air conditioner and other equipment did not fail even once, only the key to the room was changed several times, it was demagnetized and did not work - this is the only thing that unbalances. The staff is very courteous - they came to help at any time of the day or night. The restaurants were served with lightning speed, and even if problems arose, all other employees did not remain outside observers. By the way, some of them speak excellent Russian, so there were no barriers to communication either. The hotel also had its own shopping area, the prices, of course, went off scale there, but we bought a few souvenirs. Another little tip, take dollars with you - the most popular and profitable currency in these places!
