Good afternoon everyone! I am very skeptical about reviews on websites, because... Each of us has our own wallet, view of the world and our own priorities in life. But those who left negative reviews about this hotel- absolutely right! We purchased a ticket through the tour operator Express-Tours to this “amazing” place called Magic Caribbean Monastir 4*. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken in the name, if you look at the voucher. But upon arrival in Tunisia and disembarking at the hotel, we found ourselves at the threshold of the Caribbean World Monastir hotel. And this is where our adventures began... First things first: 1. Checking into the hotel. We arrived at the hotel early, somewhere around 6 am (since there was a night flight). We did not know that this hotel consists of two parts (two separate independent reception areas). At the reception desk we gave everything we needed documents to a hotel employee and he, in turn, for an additional fee of 20 dollars, offered to expedite our check-in. Naturally, upon arrival in Tunisia, we wanted to settle into our room as soon as possible and start spending our holiday with all the amenities, we agreed. We were given a key to the ill-fated bungalow 600. They also charged us a tourist tax (an innovation in Tunisia) in the amount of 40 dinars for two, but even here they decided to deceive and shortchange us. They handed over a 100 bill, and the hotel employee decided to give the change in local currency in dinars at “his” rate. We immediately protested and demanded the return of the bill and paid the tax in dinars (luckily we had them in our hands). 2. Bungalow number. The room itself is quiet horror, if I may say so. Dampness in the room, dirty bed linen (it is not known whether it was changed or not), a non-working refrigerator and a view from the balcony of the 1st floor of the bungalow to a garbage dump with horse manure under the windows. Naturally, we went to demand a replacement number. And then the show began. The employee, under the pretext that there were no available rooms at the moment, suggested that we approach him with this question at lunchtime. Okay, come at lunchtime. Still the same answer: no numbers, come back later, and right before our eyes it is populated by crowds of local Arabs (there are a whole bunch of them here before school this season!!!). Unable to tolerate such an attitude towards myself, remembering the entire vocabulary of English, I shouted out everything I thought and demanded a refund. A room was immediately found and we were moved to another bungalow. The room was a little better than the previous one. We found out that the hotel consists of two parts in the evening when we went for a walk around the territory and came across the second reception. It was radically different from the first one and, most importantly, it was located near the sea. The other buildings (!!!) were not bungalows, but the buildings were also located near the sea. Naturally, we decided to achieve relocation to any building rather than vegetating in a bungalow on the outskirts of the hotel. In total we moved 4 times. The room in the building is civilized and pleasant. The rooms were poorly cleaned; there was no soap in the room for several days (in public toilets too). 3. Restaurant-canteen. There is really a lot of food: there is poultry, beef, lamb, fish...various side dishes, sweets, pastries and various fruits. But there really weren’t enough dining places...the tables were not cleared after other vacationers for a long time. There was a catastrophic shortage of dishes: plates, cups, spoons (!!!). There was almost a fight over the dishes. Local vacationers (Arabs) behaved extremely outrageously in lines for food. Drinks other than bottled water in the hotel bars were disappointing. 4.Beach. The sandy beach entrance is good, but dirt, be it algae or drink wrappers, is everywhere and in the sea itself. Beach fun - a camel defecated (pooped) everywhere, on the sand where children play and in the sea. Naturally, no one cleaned up after the camel. During the day this happened several times and so on from day to day. There weren't enough plastic beds and mattresses. We had to take seats in advance at 6 am, and there were always “well-wishers” to take away the sunbed. 5. Animation. There are animators, there are many of them, but they are silent. They walk back and forth around the hotel grounds and that’s it. The head of animation showed interest in vacationers with children only in order to sell (sell) T-shirts with the child’s name and logo on the back... a kind of business for animators - printing on T-shirts. More and more animators are not heard. Somewhere by the pool with slides they announce a list of entertainment and, if you are lucky enough to hear and make out the speech, that somewhere they are playing volleyball or water polo. The animators take away the balls for games and hand them out strictly from whistle to whistle. Evening animation takes place after dinner. First, a children's disco - 30-40 minutes, then for adults. There is also a disco club open from 23.00 to 02.00 at night. 6. Water slides and a seawater pool. The pool is large with different depth levels. The water was sea, but every morning the pool cleaner poured a bucket of white powder into it. Many vacationers experienced skin irritations. Mostly locals (Arabs) with children swam in this pool and did not get out of the pool for hours (!!!). Near the pool, in the area where you can have a snack before lunch, there was only one toilet, which very rarely was visited by local vacationers (Arabs). Disgust to swim in the pool discourages any desire to get into the water. On water slides rode a couple of times. The fifth point very strongly felt all the joints of the slides, so there was no desire to ride again. Bottom line. We were in Tunisia for the third time and there really is something to compare with. In this hotel the attitude towards Russians and Europeans is bad...they honor their local Arabs. If you have finances and common sense, it is better to look for a more positive hotel than Caribbean World Monastir. Everyone have a nice holiday and nerves of steel.

Two days ago our family returned from Tunisia. It was our first time in this country, and it was also our first, and probably the last, time we traveled from Biblio Globus. We have been traveling for many years, traveled from different tour operators, and I must admit, we have never had any complaints about the quality of the holiday provided. It's a shame that the company doesn't value its name. I won’t write a poem, although it’s boiling over and I have something to say.
The hotel, which is offered as 4 stars, does not even qualify for a three. You will not find such rooms in a 4-star hotel, even in 3-star ones. The first day I was simply shocked by what I saw:
-cracked walls and ceilings;
- in the bathroom the tiles on the floor are worn out, the mirror is rusty, the white curtain is the color of, excuse me, a childish surprise, the shower does not stay on the support;
- the corners in the room are chipped, the door to the balcony opens with a creak;
- bed linen is yellowish.....
There is a lot to write about the room, but detailed photos have been sent to the travel agency where the tour was purchased. When we contacted the reception and the guide with this question, we were told that it turns out that our room is good, I wonder what a bad room looks like. In the evening before going to bed, we caught a huge cockroach, then we couldn’t sleep.
Dear employees of Biblio Globus, in a 4-star hotel drinks cannot be served in plastic cups, especially with an all-inclusive system. This is nonsense, this is disrespect for vacationers, we are not on a city beach in a beer tent, horror. We should not set the table for ourselves and run around the restaurant looking for napkins, forks, etc. I am sure that after June you were “bombarded” with claims and complaints about the quality of this hotel; almost only our compatriots vacationed with us, and imagine that everyone was in shock and was indignant throughout the entire vacation.
Now a little about the beach. The beach area itself is wonderful, the sand is of extraordinary beauty. the sea is warm and beautiful, but... On the beach all day long coastline they chase camels and horses, and these are living organisms, and here we are, like in a Russian village, in order to get into the water we jump on the sand, so as not to land, excuse me, in a heap of you know what. The sea was stormy for several days, and a lot of algae washed ashore. They cleaned it in all the hotels around, but not in ours. We went swimming in the territory for several days neighboring hotel, since it was simply impossible for us to go into the sea, the algae lay in “stacks” (photo is also attached to the agency).
There are a lot of questions for you. If such a tour were purchased as a “last minute” and somewhere in the transition from God knows who and for half the price, probably no one would be surprised, but dear, PEOPLE turn to you and trust you, and expect to get what they pay for , and what they earn. You can't deceive people like that. think about it.
Thanks to the animation team, who tried their best to entertain people (they were also shocked by the hotel).
In the first days of my stay on vacation, the mood was like this. that I don’t set foot in Tunisia anymore. But then they realized that the country had nothing to do with it, and the people here are friendly, and the country is beautiful, and the nature, and the climate. The fact that now it is not as beautiful as it was before is due to political situation, and soon everything should get better there. We would like to return as a family to this wonderful country, but now only through another tour operator, there is no more trust, sorry.

Of course, the operator added some problems to us. But first things first. After purchasing the tour through the site, I received an invoice, which I paid. The tour was purchased without transfer as it was not offered by the company. Later, I received a hotel voucher by email and information that they do not send tickets and that no tickets are needed for the flight. Fortunately, information about the flight was found on the invoice that I paid. We took off and arrived on time at 12:50 local time. We went to the taxi rank, showed the voucher with the hotel address to the driver, to which we immediately heard that such addresses do not exist. The voucher said HOTEL, below ADDRESS, below TELEPHONE, below FAX. Of course, we decided that this phone and fax are the hotel phone and fax. We called on the phone - the phone was turned off. We called a fax - the fax works automatically. Later, our hotel suggested that perhaps it was the host party’s phone and fax.
The driver talked to other taxi drivers and said that he knew our Sun Hotel Beach Resort(this name was written on the voucher) and he took us. After 40 minutes and 30 km of travel, he brought us to another hotel with a similar name. Everything around was so deserted and wild that there was no one to even ask about the right path. We had to go back to the airport, since the drivers near the hotel where he brought us said that, judging by the hotel’s fax code, this hotel is located in Hammamet, and for this we need to take not a city taxi, but an intercity one. Upon arrival at the hotel there was a long argument with the taxi driver who took us to the wrong hotel. He demanded 40 euros and called the police. As a result, they gave him 20 euros and he fell behind.
We got into an intercity taxi, the driver said that there was no Sun Beach Resort hotel. Look for another name. Luckily, I took the bill with me, which had the more correct name of the hotel: Caribbean World Sun Beach Resort. Then the driver said that I know Caribbean World - this is a group of hotels in Hammamet and one of them will be called Sun Beach Resort. We tried again to call the hotel phone (as we thought then), which, it turns out, was mobile phone and was turned off. I think we called it 30 times during our trip and it was always turned off. By the way, the taxis had their seat belts torn off, no air conditioning, and we were still wearing warm clothes from Germany, and there it was already +30 degrees in the shade. We went to Hammamet (80 km from the airport there). We arrived at the Caribbean World Beach Resort - they said there was no reservation for us and their hotel was not Sun, then to another hotel, then to another. And still nothing. As a result, one of the Caribbean World hotels decided to help us - they began calling all Caribbean World hotels in Tunisia. It turns out there were about 20 of them and each Caribbean World had a hotel with names like Sun Beach Resort. In the end, only thanks to the patience of the woman at the reception, the right hotel was found - they confirmed that we were registered with them. The taxi driver said that he would not take us anywhere else until he received a guarantee of payment, since he had already traveled 180 km with us and spent more than one hour, guarantees were given since an intercity taxi was not so easy to find. After another 60 km of travel and an hour of driving along terrible roads with views of the industrial zone and landfills, the right hotel was found. The driver was paid 150 euros (he also gave us a discount, the price of a taxi is about 1 euro per km, and so much time was wasted on searching).
We arrived at the hotel at 18-40, i.e. the road from the airport to the hotel took more than 5 hours. The hotel did not want to accept us, since we had vouchers without the necessary information (I don’t know which information, I think because almost everything was written there incorrectly: hotel name, address, telephone, fax, etc.), I I also gave them an invoice and only then did they give us the keys and accept us. There was an industrial zone around the hotel, and it was scary to leave its territory. Everything was good in the hotel, a huge area, of course it doesn’t deserve 4 stars - 10 years ago it might have been 4 stars, but there was a super animation team, a lot of sports, Tunisians are very friendly and speak Russian. We had a great time until the wind changed its direction...
We arrived at the hotel on September 17th; on September 22nd, during the evening show, a terrible stench began to appear. It feels like you stuck your head in a trash can. At first everyone decided that they were just taking out the garbage, but this stench continued. Everyone ran to their rooms, and an attack of nausea was already setting in. You can't open the window - it stinks. Close the window - it's very hot. Although the air conditioners were stated in the hotel description, they did not work, some of the sockets were also broken, the TV also worked strangely - you press “increase volume”, and it turns it down, you press “increase channel”, and it turns it down, and so on. Still, we decided to close the windows - the heat was better than this horror. This stench went away at about 3 am - I couldn’t sleep, so I know the time exactly, I’m not used to sleeping on a trash can. The wind changed its direction. This stinking show was repeated every other day on average, when the wind changed direction. I managed to find out that there is a poultry farm not far from the hotel and this smell comes from there, the animators also said that it was always like this at least 2 days a week and they were already used to it. As a result, instead of gaining weight, we all lost weight - we couldn’t eat with the smell of rotten meat.
There is construction going on near the hotel (another new hotel or buildings for this hotel), fortunately we were lucky and we lived quite far from this place, but many had windows overlooking this view and the noise did not give them the opportunity to sleep during the day, when they cannot go out into the sun . I think construction there has already been going on for a year, and will continue for several years.
The holiday was ruined... Upon arrival home, my son plays at the hotel, builds buildings from cubes, a pool, a beach, and next to the hotel he builds a large pipe. To the question “what is this?” - answers - this is a pipe that stinks to those who are resting. This is his main impression of the holiday.
In addition... The hotel offers almost everyone all-inclusive tours, what is included is very well described here: http://all-inclusive.narod.ru, but with all-inclusive you can always get tap water, as well as sprite, cola and Fanta mixed with the same tap water. In order to get this you need to stand in line, which moves so slowly because there is always enough glasses. There are no beach towels, the sunbeds are old and broken, and the entire beach is covered with umbrellas (a rusty iron pipe with an iron rim on top and straw placed on it), which only get in the way. There is a water park on site, but you have to pay for it (how is it all inclusive?), you can shoot archery or play golf, but when there are 2 clubs and two bows for 400 vacationers, consider that this is not the case. The food at the hotel is good, but on the second day you will get tired of eating bony fish and liver and sucking bones from turkey and chicken (the fact is that they didn’t give legs or wings, they gave chopped bones with leftover meat).
Cleaning the room - spread the sand, change the bed - just remake it (we found out by the presence of sand in the bed - the child brought it, and it was there - the bed was not changed!). Towels are changed every day, even when not needed, but it looks like this: in the morning at 9 am they took all the towels, and at 3 pm they brought them back. And the fact that those who get up at 10 am (for example, I sometimes got up like this) or who came from the beach in the sand at 12 o’clock and want to go to lunch after a shower have nothing to dry themselves with. Hanging up a “DO NOT DISTURB” tag doesn’t help - they still force their way into your room, even if you’re standing in the bathroom in shorts or without them - they still don’t say “sorry” and don’t leave, but communicate with you as if that’s the way it’s supposed to be .
All information about the hotel is classified - you won’t know how to use the telephone in the room, you won’t find the TV remote control, the iron, that you are entitled to a safe, or you won’t learn about the operation of restaurants on site and that you are entitled to a free dinner in these restaurants and You won't know much else! You will find out all this when you check out of the hotel, since there is no information in the room. Even when the dining room is open, you will learn from other vacationers.
