Due to the temporary closure of a section of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line, the traffic pattern in the Vykhino-Zhulebino area will change, reports mosday.ru in the press service of the capital’s Department of Transport.
From October 28 to November 3, the section of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line between the Vykhino and Kotelniki stations will be temporarily closed to connect the Kozhukhovskaya branch. Hundreds of thousands of citizens use these stations every day. In this regard, the traffic pattern of vehicles in the Vykhino-Zhulebino area will change: priority passage for urban transport will be provided.
Free compensatory bus routes will be organized from the stations “Zhulebino”, “Lermontovsky Prospekt” and “Kotelniki” to the stations “Vykhino” and “Kuzminki”. The Traffic Management Center also promises to strengthen regular ground transport routes. For priority passage of compensation routes and routes of the Moscow region, the organization of traffic will be changed along their routes.
Temporary separate dedicated lanes will be introduced on the section of Novoryazanskoe Highway and Volgogradsky Prospekt from the Kotelniki station to the Kuzminki station in both directions - towards the center and the region; on the section of Lermontovsky Avenue from Privolnaya Street to the exits to the side passages of the avenue in both directions - towards the center and the region; - on Ryazansky Avenue from Khlobystova Street to Samarkand Boulevard - in both directions, towards the center and the region.
The direction of one-way traffic will change on the section of Vostrukhina Street near house No. 7 on Veshnyakovskaya Square. Traffic here will be from Papernik Street towards Vostrukhin Street.
At the same time, from 06:30 to 21:30, exits to Volgogradsky Avenue from Zhigulevskaya Street, Yeseninsky Boulevard, Academician Scriabin Street, Tashkent Street, Samarkand Boulevard will be limited. Motorists can continue on these streets, but exiting from both sides onto Volgogradsky Prospekt will be prohibited.
Exit from Kirov Street to General Kuznetsov Street will also be limited. The section of Khlobystova Street from Ryazansky Prospekt to Vostrukhina Street is closed for the passage of cars in both directions; traffic will be limited when exiting the Moscow Ring Road to Volgogradsky and Ryazansky Avenues from 06:30 to 21:30 daily from October 28 to November 3. For priority public transport, parking will be canceled on Vostrukhina Street in the area of building No. 7, on Aviakonstruktor Mil Street from General Kuznetsov Street to Marshal Poluboyarov Street.
Only public transport will be allowed to use temporary dedicated lanes. Taxi access to temporary dedicated lanes will be limited during the changes.
For the passage of passengers from the Moscow region, bus routes that arrived at the Kotelniki metro station will be extended to the Kuzminki metro station during the metro closure. All routes that have an intermediate stop at the Kotelniki metro station retain the same route. Routes located near Moscow along Oktyabrsky Prospekt in the city of Lyubertsy will continue to the Vykhino metro station without changes. Fares on all suburban routes remain unchanged. The ticket price remains the same.

Free bus routes with minimal traffic intervals and separate dedicated lanes for priority travel of ground urban transport will also be organized. Free bus routes will be organized for travel from the Zhulebino, Lermontovsky Prospekt and Kotelniki stations. High-capacity buses on routes M1, M2 and M3 will operate in metro mode with minimum intervals of 40-50 seconds.

For the convenience of passengers, all ticket windows at the Vykhino and Kuzminki metro stations will be constantly open. At any time, passengers can seek help from the staff on duty at the Moscow Metro Mobility Center and road transport workers. In addition, the electric depot will provide reserve trains for delivery, if necessary, to the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line.
The restrictions on the section from Vykhino to Kotelnikov are associated with an important stage in the construction of a new metro line - work on the construction of a transfer tunnel for the Kozhukhovskaya line of the Moscow Metro, which is scheduled to open in 2018. During the construction of such a serious facility, it is necessary to temporarily stop train traffic on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line section. Similar work will be carried out again in 2018 - approximately in May.
The new Kozhukhovskaya metro line will run from the Aviamotornaya station to the Nekrasovka station through 7 districts of Moscow: Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Vykhino-Zhulebino, Kosino-Ukhtomsky, Nekrasovka, Tekstilshchiki, Kuzminki, as well as through the Lyubertsy urban district of the Moscow region. In total, the line will include 9 stations. The length of the section will be 17.2 km. The main thing is that the Kozhukhovskaya line will help relieve congestion on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya and Kalininskaya lines.
Due to the introduction of dedicated lanes, the traffic situation in the areas of closed stations is expected to become more complicated. We ask drivers to familiarize themselves with the planned traffic restrictions in advance, as well as choose detour routes and use public transport.
