« Aeroflot"Is the largest and most popular airline in Russia. Every day, powerful and large airliners, capable of delivering passengers anywhere in the world, take to the skies from the airfield. Many people are interested in learning more about the aircraft in service with this company. To do this, consider the aircraft fleet " Aeroflot»And find out what aircraft models the carrier can boast of.

« Aeroflot”Began work in 1923, but today the air carrier's arsenal includes modern and improved aircraft models. This high-quality and rather young aircraft fleet has brought the company to the first place in the Russian air carriers. As you know, the age of an airliner is a significant criterion in the service and quality of flights. And the carrier strictly follows the latest trends. Therefore, the average age of any vessel on the airline's balance sheet is 4 years..

Few know that the airline originally bore the name “ Dobrolet", And only in 1932 the decision was made to rename the enterprise to" Aeroflot". Until 1991, airlines are believed to have provided flight services only on Russian-made airliners. At the beginning of the XXI century, the air carrier expanded its flotilla with vessels from well-known world manufacturers.

Since the beginning of 2000, the airline has been constantly buying and ordering new items released in the global aviation market, and replenishes the company's balance with improved and modernized Russian airliners.

Airlines customers fly airliners - these models are considered the best aircraft on the market. Due to the abundance of foreign-made vessels in the company's arsenal, the company's management considered and implemented the idea of \u200b\u200bchanging the uniform of the company's working personnel.

Air carrier program and plans

Now let's move on to considering the question of how many aircraft have " Aeroflot»And what models of airliners are presented to passengers for flights. The airline has 189 models on its balance sheet, but this figure is constantly being updated... Aeroflot's fleet has recently been replenished with 13 new Boeing 777 aircraft.

During 2017-2018, a large purchase of a batch of Boeing 787 airliners and aircraft is expected. The firm plans to purchase 22 aircraft of each group. However, the airlines' arsenal also includes other, no less comfortable and modernized aircraft, which are produced in Russia.

Since 2011, the air carrier has put into operation an aircraft of the Russian brand Sukhoi SuperJet-100, and in 2017 it plans to purchase at least 20 more vessels of this type. In addition, Aeroflot plans to replenish its flotilla with 50 aircraft from the well-known Russian manufacturer MS-21.

Evaluating the presented plans of Aeroflot for the near future, we note with confidence that the airlines will for a long time consolidate their leadership among other air carriers in the country. In addition, the company will gain chances of recognition on the world stage, increasing the status and prestige of the state. Note that today this carrier is already included in the top hundred of the world's leading airlines.

Description of the flotilla

It's time to get familiar with the details. We will find out which planes " Aeroflot»Are operated today and how these models differ. By the beginning of 2017, the company offers travelers the following brands and models of aircraft: Boeings 777 and 737, Airbus A330, A321, A320 and Sukhoi SuperJet-100. All of these vessels are designed exclusively for the carriage of passengers and have been designed with the highest level of comfort in flight.

Boeing 777-300ER

A modification of this side is designed to fly long distances. The dimensions of the vessel are striking in size: the length of the aircraft's hull reaches 73.9 meters with a wingspan of 64.8 meters. Such aircraft climb up to 13 kilometers at a cruising speed of 900 km / h. With a maximum weight on board of 317 tons, the vessel is capable of covering a distance of up to 11 thousand km.

The name familiar to us was given to it in 1932. Despite such a significant age, the airline's fleet is young - the average aircraft age is 4.2 years.

Aeroflot equipment

Starting its activity, the company used exclusively Soviet-made aircraft. Over the decades of existence, some models were replaced by others. The foundation of the current fleet falls on the beginning of the 90s of the last century, when the airline is actively putting into operation foreign equipment. Foreign manufacturers of Aeroflot vehicles are the European corporation Airbus SAS (factories are located in France and Germany) and the American company Boeing Company (the main manufacturer is located in Seattle).

Aeroflot's fleet of domestic equipment currently contains Sukhoi Superjet vehicles developed by the corporation " Civil aircraft Sukhoi "(international designation - su9 or su95 aircraft).

Aircraft modifications

The company's current fleet includes not only different types of aircraft, but also their various modifications. What kind of aircraft of a foreign manufacturer Aeroflot uses, how many of them are in the air carrier's fleet, you can find out from the table below.

Types of aircraft and their modifications from foreign manufacturers

In 2018, Aeroflot plans to introduce new models of Airbus A350-900 aircraft to replace some outdated aircraft, and a little later a two-story Boeing 747-400.

Sukhoi's Russian short-haul aircraft are produced in several modifications. Aeroflot uses Superjet aircraft of the 100-95B type, created on the basis of the basic version. This is one of the first Russian airliners whose noise level meets European requirements. A total of 22 models were produced, of which 10 are in the Aeroflot fleet.

These aircraft began to be produced in series since 2011, and at the same time the first aircraft appeared at Aeroflot. The first commercial flight on this type of aircraft by the air carrier was carried out in June of the same year on the route Moscow (Sheremetyevo) - St. Petersburg (Pulkovo).

Additional Information. Each Aeroflot aircraft has been given common names in honor of prominent people in Russia (names of scientists, writers, representatives of the arts). For example, the 32nd Airbus A320, which entered the carrier's fleet in 2009, bears the name "Ivan Pavlov".

For those interested, information about what names are given to what type of liner will be provided by the company's website at the link https://www.aeroflot.ru/ru-ru/flight/plane_park.

Aeroflot continues to actively cooperate with the Sukhoi design bureau, placing an order for 20 new aircraft, so that in 2018 the carrier will have 50 Superjet aircraft in its fleet, for which their names have been prepared. In addition, it is planned to deliver the latest Irkut MS-21 airliners, produced by the Irkutsk Aviation Plant and which are the official brainchild of 2 design bureaus - Yakovlev and Ilyushin.

Main features of aircraft

Aeroflot Airlines cares about its prestige and the safety of passengers, therefore, pays great attention to the equipment it operates. In the carrier's fleet there are only aircraft of significant manufacturers who have managed to gain worldwide popularity.

Seating schemes in aircraft cabins

If the planes used by Aeroflot are outwardly similar to each other in "plumage", then inside the model they have some differences related to the placement seats... The cabin layout for each type of aircraft used by Aeroflot is given below the description.

Airbus A320

Narrow-body aircraft fly at short and medium ranges. The length of the Airbus is 37.6 m, the wingspan is 34.1 m.

The layout of the seats in the cabin has 2 varieties: in the 1st version there are 5 rows for the business class, in the 2nd - 2 rows according to the 2x2 scheme. In the economy class, the seating arrangement is used - 2x3 (i.e. there is 1 passage between the seats in the center of the cabin). Toilets on board are adapted for passengers with disabilities.

Airbus A321

This type of narrow-body aircraft also belongs to the medium-range, but has a greater length than the 320 model - 44.5 m with a wingspan of 34.1 m.

There are 3 optionsbreakdown of seats into business and economy classes:

  • in 2 versions (slightly different from each other in the layout of seats in economy class) with total in 36 rows, the first 4 are reserved for the business class according to the 2x2 scheme;
  • in the 3rd version, the salon is equipped with 31 rows, business class takes the first 7.

Each version has a separate toilet for the disabled at the tail of the aircraft.

Airbus A330

The wide-body aircraft is used on long-haul routes. The liner of the 200th modification has a length of 58.8 m, the 300th - 63.7 m, the wingspan in both cases is 60.3 m.

The A330-200 model has 37 rows of seats, 6 of which are reserved for business class (3x2). In economy class, 2 side sections have 2 seats, the middle section has 4 seats in a row, with the exception of the 11th, from 34 to 37 (there are 3 seats each).

In the A330-300 model, the cabin is almost identical, but it has 45 rows and a slightly different arrangement of seats in the business class.

Boeing 737

The narrow-body jet aircraft is used as a medium-haul transport. The length of the aircraft is 39.5 m, the wingspan is 35.8 m. The layout of the seats in the cabin is as follows: rows 1 to 5 are reserved for business class according to the 2x2 scheme; from 6 to 28 - for economy 2x3.

Boeing 777

The long-haul wide-body aircraft has a length of 73.9 m and a wingspan of 64.8 m. In the cabin of this aircraft, seats are reserved for one more category - the “comfort” class, located between “business” and “economy” and occupying rows from 11 to 16. In the business class cabin, seating chairs can be easily converted into cozy sofas for relaxation.

Sukhoi Superjet 100

The SU narrow-body passenger aircraft for short-haul flights has a length of 29.9 m and a wingspan of 27.8 m. Business class has 12 seats arranged in 3 rows in a 2x2 pattern. Economy class has rows from 6 to 20, with asymmetric arrangement of seats - at the left side, 2 chairs, at the right side - 3 each.

Note! Each of the models described has the ability to transport recumbent passengers. The stretcher is installed in the rear of the passenger compartment so as not to interfere with the rest of the passengers.

Description of places by row blocks

Each cabin of any aircraft has priority seats where passengers feel most comfortable. But seats are installed that can make the flight tiresome. For passengers flying with small children, special seats are allocated, next to which there are attachments for cradles.

The table below provides comparative information on the distribution of seats in the cabins according to the degree of their comfort.

When choosing seats for a flight with small children, passengers try to book those rows where a portable cradle can be fixed. But this option is limited, so you can opt for seats that have free space if they are not installed near the emergency exit.

Note! The worst places are those that are located in the immediate vicinity of the toilets - a kind of smell, the constant walking of passengers causes discomfort.

Chairs with fixed backs are inconvenient - a long flight in these places will be tiresome. The rows in the wing area also have a low degree of comfort due to the running engines.

Airplane amenities

Aeroflot takes care not only of the convenience of its passengers, but also provides them with leisure time during their flights. Such an opportunity is provided by the technical features of the aircraft models used (information is provided by the table below).

Aeroflot is a world famous air carrier. In the ranking of Russian airlines, this carrier takes the prize. The company has been providing flight services since 1923. But, despite this, the aircraft in the air carrier's fleet are considered one of the most modern and new, even when compared with European aircraft. The age of the aircraft is one of the most important criteria, because the safety of the flight largely depends on this indicator. 4 years - this is the average age of Aeroflot aircraft.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the airline operated under the name Dobrolet. At that time, aircraft flew in one direction: from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod and back. The company "" officially received its name, which is still valid, only in 1932. Until 1991, the fleet of the largest air carrier included only domestic aircraft. And in 2000, the aircraft fleet of the largest carrier was renewed, and aircraft of foreign manufacturers appeared in the arsenal.

Since then, the company has begun to actively acquire modern aircraft... Boeings and Airbuses appeared among them. Thanks to these aircraft, it became possible to carry a large number of passengers, and the number of routes in various directions increased. The aircraft of foreign manufacturers influenced the changes in Aeroflot. In 2000, a major air carrier was rebranded, during which the crew uniforms were changed, as well as the company's colors were changed.

Aeroflot's fleet currently contains 167 aircraft. Almost all aircraft are new and modern. The fleet of the largest air carrier is constantly growing. About 3 years ago Aeroflot purchased 13 new I777 Boeings. Since 2013, the Boeing 737-800 has been among Aeroflot's aircraft. In the near future it is planned to renew the fleet of this air carrier again. The company's management decided to purchase Airbus A330 and Boeing B787. These air models are new.

In 2011, the carrier purchased Sukhoi SuperJet-100 aircraft, and Aeroflot still purchases aircraft of this brand. According to preliminary calculations by the company's employees, such airliners should be in the fleet in the amount of 50 units. In the future, the company intends to continue acquiring modern aircraft. Aircraft safety control and fleet renewal are necessary in order to maintain a high position in the rating of carriers.

According to preliminary calculations, the largest number of Airbuses will be in the fleet.

According to statistics, Airbuses are considered the safest air means of transportation. Four crashes per 1,000 flights. And when compared with the number of Boeing crashes, accidents of the latest models happen 4 times more often.

Currently, the largest domestic air carrier boasts a wide variety of aircraft.

These include:

  • Airbus A320;
  • Airbus A321;
  • Airbus A330;
  • Boeing B373;
  • Boeing B777;
