Entertainment is mainly concentrated in this part of the resort, and therefore Gorki Gorod +540 is more suitable for having fun and active rest.

The “Upper City” is to some extent reminiscent of the resort settlements of the Mediterranean. Here you will find high-quality apartments, 7 hotels with 996 rooms, and a huge SPA center (9000 square meters). This part of the resort is chosen by those who prefer comfort, peace and privacy on vacation.

Those who love skiing and mountains are drawn here, first of all, to the “Mountain Carousel”. The complex is located on the territory of a resort in the village of Esto-Sadok on the slopes of the mountains.

"Mountain Carousel" is 27 kilometers of the best ski slopes, which, according to snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts, are in no way inferior to European slopes. The altitude at which the tracks are located ranges from 960 to 1460 meters. They vary in difficulty: “red” and “black”, “green” and “blue” - they are available for both experienced and beginner skiers.

Last season, additional trails and lighted trails for evening skiing were opened in the eastern sector of the resort. And if there is a problem with snow, it can be easily solved with the help of snow cannons, which make the mountain slopes perfect at night. The use of artificial snow is a guarantee that mountain slopes and skiers will not be left without snow under any circumstances. And the winter season, as expected, will last until the very end of April.

12 chairlifts and gondola lifts deliver skiers to the mountain slopes (transfer “steps” are located at an altitude of 960 m, 1459 m and 2200 m). And to get from the launch site (altitude 540 meters) to the “Circus-3” zone (the farthest point) it will take a little more than an hour.

  How to get to the Gorki Gorod resort

  • High-speed train "Swallow". This is the fastest way to get to the ski resort. The train begins its journey in Sochi, passes through Adler and takes you along the Mzymta River gorge into the mountains to the ski resorts of Greater Sochi. The stops along the route are as follows:

Do not forget that in the midst of summer the intensity of the water flow decreases greatly, leaving only a small stream, since the main flow of water is formed by melting snow. At an altitude of 1460 meters there is an eco-trail “Relic Forest” and a rope park. At an altitude of 2200 m, several more eco-trails are available: “Alpine Meadows” and “Bear Waterfall”. The Bear waterfall is visible from the K4 ski lift, so you can independently assess whether it is worth going down to it or not.

  Another route is climbing the Black Pyramid. Climbing requires some skill, insurance, and the watchful eye of an instructor. Everyone is relaxed all the time, but at the same time polite - such Rastafarian management. They say our occupancy rate is almost 100%, we can’t offer anything, so what are you saying? Well, be patient! and smile. When we checked in, in the huge building in which the reception is located, the fire alarm was blaring loudly with calls to leave the hotel. Of course, we all looked at each other, and those around us, including security, hotel staff and residents did not even notice this sound. In general, there was a feeling that only our group of visitors heard it. Then everything calmed down and it was as if nothing had happened. Well, who will defeat this country?)) Then, during the week of our stay, this happened a couple more times in the neighboring buildings, and, as before, no one paid attention to it. The room has a kitchen, which really makes life easier. Microwave with grill, but not working, we contacted them, listened politely, but no one came. The dishes were the most necessary, but the sets were not complete, but it was enough for us. The TV in the room is super - HD picture quality, there are many channels, both sports and movies. And the coolest thing is that there are web cameras from the streets around and from the ski slopes of the city’s hills. You can see the weather, the amount of snow, fog on the highway, rain on the street. They promised to clean every third day of stay - no one ever came. But they smiled. Rastafarians...In short, we cleaned up ourselves and generally tried not to litter. The kitchen has a built-in dishwasher, which makes life incredibly easier not only at home, but now also on vacation. There is no washing machine. Now it’s outside. There is a children's playground in the courtyard, the children liked it, then they found a cool playground behind the building, which was covered, that is, the children can play there in the rain if they get tired of sitting in the room and going to the water parks. The yard, like everything around, is beautiful, spacious, clean. In general, living in Gorki-city is pleasant and convenient: grocery stores and more are nearby, a pharmacy too, ATMs, everything is at hand, bank cards are accepted everywhere. The ski lift is nearby, rentals are nearby, cafes and restaurants - everything is here. I wanted to go skiing at Rosa Khutor - I took a bus and went there for 23 rubles.
