Disgusting hotel, just a dump. Food - plastic dirty dishes, which are often missing, fights for food, because there is really nothing to eat except pasta, rice and boiled carrots, and have you ever eaten stewed cucumbers at 4 hotel from hunger? Children and adults suffer from stomach pain. There is no bottled drinking water. Lack of hot water - there are 5 barrels on the roof of the hotel for heating water, which are not enough for 130 rooms. The power is often turned off and the generator is not connected. You will be shocked, as we were told, on the 3rd day you will get used to it. We went for dinner in Side (17 km from the hotel), because we really really wanted meat, fish and simply human conditions. Don't spoil your vacation! The most terrible hotel I have ever been to in my life was in Turkey, Greece, Spain, Egypt, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Portugal. It doesn't even deserve 2 stars. And the worst thing is the attitude of the staff.

We rested with my husband from 10.06 to 19.06.18. Firstly, when we checked in at night, no one was waiting for us there, we were looking for rooms to put us in, and in the end we were put on the 1st floor, apparently the servants' rooms (someone quickly moved out of there while we were waiting to check in), the room was dirty, and so was the bed. and no towels, the bathroom was shabby, the air conditioner barely worked behind the partition. Having endured until the morning, we turned to the administration about relocating, to which Vera answered us: Why don’t you like the room you live in? I invited her to move in and live there herself. As a result, they harassed us for another day without relocating us. Then we moved to the 2nd floor, where the rooms are better, although you can live there and the air conditioning works. There were waves at sea all the time, we were able to swim only for 1 day((((((MINUSES: not 4 stars for sure, there was never any cleaning service during the entire period, including a change of linen. The food is monotonous, but you can eat when you need it ‑ it always ended, they always reported more. The fruits were mainly watermelons, apples and oranges alternated. There was breakfast, lunch, dinner, for the afternoon SOMETIMES they gave a watermelon near the restaurant, and those who rested on the lower pool and the beach never saw this, t .k. they gave a couple of watermelons for everyone and in different time. And those who were relaxing on the beach were sometimes “pampered” with cookies - 2 plates)) And one more thing: in June, many Turks are already vacationing (in camps) with children who bring more food than the Russians. At the reception there are constant complaints and requests to move to another room and clean the room...... PROS: hammam, Sali and Nastya work there (a full procedure 90 minutes costs $25), massage 60 minutes - $20. You leave there in complete relaxation)))) 2 swimming pools on the territory, there were always enough sun loungers on the beach, because... many with children were at the pools. Because there are numerous complaints from vacationers, the tour operator should notify people that the hotel does not live up to 4 , so that people don’t spend their money on the hotel getting on their nerves. Hotel 3.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 hours, but the aftertaste of this mess is gone.
Hello to everyone who experienced the horror of staying in this hotel and to those who are just considering it for accommodation in Turkey. We just returned from a trip, so we immediately decided to write a review here to warn our compatriots from the mistake of checking into this hotel. Most of the negative reviews presented here are true. It’s only a pity that we read them only upon returning home, since we purchased a last-minute ticket 2 days before departure. We are unpretentious tourists, we treat some shortcomings in hotels with understanding, because over 6 years of annual travel with my mother we have been to 3* hotels in Italy, Greece, Spain, 4* Czech Republic, UAE, in 2015 we were on the “fortuna” system in Turkey (then we lived in a 5* hotel). This year the choice fell on Turkey again, because... the flight took 1.5 hours, the price was fine (the trip cost 53,400 rubles for two), and the memories of the last trip to this country were only positive. But these 10 hours spent in the trash heap under the sonorous name "Avalon" will remain in the memory for many years as an attempt to violate Russian tourists, one of whom is a 72-year-old exemplary cultural worker...

I’m writing a big review because... all this may be useful to other tourists, because the events that happened to us that night are leading to legal proceedings. Now in more detail. For the first time we traveled with the tour operator "Intourist" and for the first time in several years of traveling abroad our flight was delayed by 2 hours, so we arrived in Antalya on August 3, 2018 later, at almost 21:00, and arrived at the hotel at 23:40. At the check-in desk we were “met” by an unknown person - an elderly man in a green T-shirt and faded denim shorts who did not have a badge. He immediately said that there were no rooms at the hotel (it soon became clear that his name was Mustafa). To our question about the lack of places, he replied that 15 rooms should have become available on August 2, but the tour operators AnexTour and Coral had booked them for their tourists. When we tried to say that we paid money for the trip, Mustafa rudely stated that we personally did not pay him anything and told us to wait. A woman with a child arrived with us from the airport, and we were asked to take a "Family" category room until the morning, which is why we all unanimously refused, because... it was not convenient for everyone. As a result, the woman and the child were placed alone in this room, and my mother and I were again told to wait.

It was already almost 1 o'clock in the morning, when, after our repeated appeals to Mustafa and questions about how long to wait, he decided to show us a “good” room, which turned out to be a kennel without a window in a semi-basement with an acrid smell of dampness and wet wallpaper. We stood there for no more than 2 minutes and began to choke. There was no talk of spending the night there until the morning - we were going to rest, not to suffer from consumption. Our refusal of this “good” number was perceived as a personal insult, so Mustafa began to fly wild in front of our eyes, began to openly scream and wave his hands in front of his face, saying that nothing else would be offered until the morning. Using a Russian-Turkish phrasebook, we asked to call the police. In response to this, a sleepy man was called, introducing himself as a senior administrator named Muzafar, who several times brought to our attention that he was sleeping and was woken up. After listening to our story about the situation, he confirmed that the rooms should have been available, but were not, so we had to take what was offered - that is, a raw room without a window (obviously lower than the “Standard” category that was written in our voucher) . Muzafar said that the problem of lack of air can be solved by opening the door to the street at night...))) Regarding Mustafa’s behavior, he said that “yes, he is like that, this is his behavior.” Under Muzafar, we called the representative of the tour operator in Turkey, Sabina, at the phone number indicated in the voucher. She, having talked with him, said that there was no one to deal with our issue at night, and the only way out was to spend the night in a damp room with compensation for expenses by the tour operator, and in the morning at 9:20 we could try to resolve the issue of moving to another hotel, because . The reservation service starts working at 10 o'clock. We said that we would absolutely not go to the room offered. Thus began our sleepless night on the couch. It’s good that the internal mechanisms of the body worked to help us, and we didn’t want to sleep, because... there was an understanding that you need to be “fully armed.”

Half an hour later a young couple arrived and were seated almost immediately. We asked them what type of room was written in the voucher - it turned out that it was also “standard”. We were happy for them and continued to wait. While we were sitting on the sofa, in the hall, with undisguised impudence, some Turk (I understood from the reviews that he was an animator) was running around and openly “sticking” women. A flock of ants was crawling near the coffee machine, but this is understandable, because there were open bags of sugar lying nearby. At about 2:30 am we were “lucky” to see another “good” room offered to us. It is on the 3rd floor at the end of a long corridor, there is no elevator, and next to it is an unlocked cleaners' storage room - go in and do what you want, no one will know. The room's balcony opens onto the balcony of the adjacent building, with a narrow passage below. In the 3-bed room itself there is old furniture, a dirty shower, a broken faucet without a valve sticks out of the wall, the room is dark, but on the beds lay swans wrapped in towels (for some reason this made me feel disgusted). We were surprised why we needed a 3-bed room, because they could share someone else with us. Mustafa assured that this would not happen. But it soon became clear that this was not so. This room was occupied by a young tourist from Moscow who could not find single room. They also promised him that they would not accommodate anyone, but in the morning they announced that they were still planning to accommodate him. In response to our question about the situation with rooms with a sea view, Mustafa decorously announced that if we personally paid him an extra $20 per day (i.e., taking into account our voucher it was $160), it would be quite feasible. We refused because... The budget for the trip was small, and we planned to go on excursions with this money. We moved back to the sofa. At about 3 o'clock in the morning, the guests began to leave the hall for their rooms, and we were left alone. Here Mustafa (in the absence of an audience in front of whom he at least somehow tried to seem good) began to show himself in all his glory - he began to yell that he would now call the owner of the hotel, and he would throw us out into the street. For some reason, these attacks made us more confident in our rights, and we clearly explained that until the tour operator resolves our issue, we will remain in place. Around 4 a.m., the hotel owner arrived with his 25-year-old son. They burst into the hall with a lantern and started arguing from the threshold. Mustafa began to explain something to them in Turkish, pointing at us with his fingers. They looked at us very angrily, didn’t let us explain anything, and that wouldn’t have helped, because they don’t understand Russian at all. With the help of a Russian-Turkish translator, we explained to them that we had a double room booked and that the offered room was not suitable for check-in. This scene cost us several gray hairs, because we did not understand anything in Turkish, and anything could have happened - there was no one in the hall, it was dark, there really was a cemetery nearby (if we had known about this nuance before leaving, then this fact alone would have become would be a reason to refuse this hotel)...

After the owner left, Mustafa sat down on the sofa in front of us and began to tell us that he had been working in this hotel for 2 years, but nothing like this had ever happened to us. I asked if he was afraid that tourists might record his screams on a tape recorder, to which he said in an unctuous voice that we were good and that he would give us now good number... and left somewhere for a long time. We stayed on the couch again. From about 6 in the morning I started calling Sabina using the phone number provided in the tour operator’s booklet, but, of course, no one answered the phone at that time. At about 7 am, a woman of Slavic appearance appeared at the reception desk, to whom Mustafa began to tell about us in Turkish, pointing his fingers in our direction and grimacing (later it turned out that her name was Vera). First my mother, then I approached her asking for help, she didn’t even talk, turning her displeased face away from us and pursing her lips. Mom asked me to get our voucher to show the room category. They took out the voucher and placed it on the counter. While my mother was looking at him, I tried to talk about the current situation with representatives of other tour operators who came for tourists on excursions. Many advised us to urgently call our tour operator. Then I went up to the counter and also took a look at the voucher. Sitting on the sofa and talking with another representative of the tour operator Anex Tour, we were subjected to a new attack by Mustafa. He literally flew at us shouting “where are the papers?”, began to grab my mother’s bag, tried to snatch the cell phone out of my hands, shouting that I was filming it (although I have a regular push-button phone, even without the Internet, with a camera 0 ,2 Mpx and I just held it in my hands, because I controlled the time). He started yelling that we were bad people and eventually took our suitcase, carried it to the fence and threw it out the hotel gate. The young man from AnexTour and some of the guests were shocked by Mustafa’s behavior. Then some woman on the next sofa asked that we were not being accommodated, and said that she and her child had the same situation - they slept on the sofa, they had to pay extra. Another woman herself stopped me and said that she was ready to be a witness, because... They also tried to do the same with them, but they quickly wrote a statement, where they spelled out point by point everything that did not suit them, and gave this statement to a representative of the tour operator TezTour. He went to the front desk and asked not to offend their clients. This helped - everything was fixed.

And we continued to wait until 9:20 to call Sabina, because... The meeting with our hotel guide was scheduled for 17:00. Having learned that at 9:20 we needed to contact the tour operator, Mustafa defiantly pulled out the phone cord and shouted that no one could get through or call. He ran up to us again, swinging his arms and waving his hands in front of his face. We gave him the voucher (it turns out he called it pieces of paper). After everything I had experienced, I didn’t want to stay in the hotel. There was only one goal - to move to another hotel. The one nearby lovely hotel Sea Planet 5* turned out to be very expensive and overcrowded (although some of their rooms overlook the cemetery) - for less than 2 days and 1 night we were offered to pay 378 dollars. At 9:20 I approached Vera and for 100 rubles asked her to let me call. She took the money and let Sabina call. She said that she would try to resolve our issue with moving to another hotel within an hour. And she kept her word. Ours was urgently sent hotel guide Ibrahim, who, despite the fact that he was in a hurry, helped fill out the application and for an additional payment, giving almost everything we had, we happily left this terrible place at 10:30. Having read most of the reviews about this hotel upon returning to Russia, I felt sincerely sorry for those who were forced to suffer there for days. It’s strange that Rostourism allows such situations with our compatriots abroad.
