You are going to Montenegro and you are concerned about the choice of the beach. All of them are different, with their own characteristics. Let's explore this abundance.

Yaz (Jaz) - beach coast at Budva. On both sides it is closed by the mountains of Strazha and Grbal, a small river flows through the territory, there are no settlements nearby. Part of the beach, the furthest from the city of Budva, is covered with sand. There is a paid rental of sun loungers, catamarans and jet skis; shower rooms are equipped, there are two restaurants and a cafe. The descent into the sea is gentle along the entire length. The beach is suitable for both a large friendly company and families with children.

Kamenovo is the best beach on the Budva Riviera. It is located on the shore of a beautiful little bay, between the settlements of Rafailovici and Przno. This is a sand and pebble strip 730 m long, divided into paid and free sections. Kamenovo overlooks the picturesque islands. There are no residential settlements in this part of the Budva coast, so it is usually not crowded.

Plavi Horizonti is the most beautiful beach of the Tivat Rivera in the Przno valley. The coast is surrounded by pine forests and olive groves, providing a constant shade. The length of the Horizon is about 300 m; soft light sand, shallow bottom. On both sides there are cozy forest walking alleys.

Ada Bojana, Ulcinj Riviera, is located on a man-made river island, on an area of 350 hectares. Nudist island, ideal place for active and sports recreation. The coastline, 3.8 km long, is covered with shell-coral sand, which is rich in mineral and biologically active substances that have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system.

Because of the shallow water, the water warms up here perfectly, so Ada-Boyana has a very long swimming season. Suitable for those who are looking for peace and quiet, who do not like mass holidays with noisy parties and cocktail parties by the pool.

Buljarica is the largest beach of the Budva Riviera, more than 2 km long. It is located in the Buljarica bay of the same name. This is a picturesque corner with a pebbly shore, a partially wild recreation area with small landscaped areas. There is no tourist hype even in season.

How do I save on hotels?

The beaches of Montenegro are very diverse, so here you will find both pebbly and sandy beaches. Almost all popular resorts Montenegro has sandy beaches, but these beaches are not always located right in the center of the resort.
It is worth noting that the sand on the beaches in Montenegro is mostly coarse and heavy. Therefore, on the sandy beaches of Montenegro, you will rarely see muddy water, even if a large number of people swim in it at the same time.
Where are sandy beaches in Montenegro? You will find such beaches along the entire coast of Montenegro from Herceg Novi in the north to Ulcinj in the south. Sandy beaches in Montenegro are not uncommon, but they are usually quite popular among families with children and other people. So, as a rule, the sandy beaches of Montenegro are not suitable for a relaxing holiday.
Below we will present you the resorts of Montenegro with sandy beaches.

Sandy beaches of Montenegro

Herceg Novi

There are several sandy beaches in the area of this city. The first of these is Sutorina, which is located a few kilometers west of the city. The second name of this beach is Blatna Plaza. Note that its sand has healing properties.
Also a good sandy beach is Zhorovicha beach. This is not a very popular beach, so you can relax here in a relatively calm environment.

Kotor

Almost all beaches in the Kotor region are pebbly, and only Ljuta beach has a sandy surface. It is located in the north of the Kotor region, about 8 km from the city center. Luta offers quite good conditions for a relaxing holiday.

Tivat

Unlike Kotor, the neighboring city of Tivat and its surroundings have many sandy beaches. One of them is Selyanovo. Although this beach is quite rocky, there is an area with sand. The beaches of Opatovo and Kalardovo in the Tivat region are also covered with sand, although not completely.
But still, the best sandy beach in the Tivat area is the Blue Horizons beach, which is located next to the famous hotel complex Blue Horizons. This is a fairly wide and almost completely sandy beach, where a large number of young people and families with children rest.

Budva

The Budva Riviera can offer you some very nice sandy beaches. The first of these is the famous Jaz beach, which is located just west of Budva. This is a popular and well-equipped beach, which attracts a large number of tourists and locals. Despite the remote location from the center of Budva, the beach can get crowded during the peak season.
There is a small sandy Trsteno beach near Jaz, but we would not recommend it for families with children due to the rather steep seabed.
Ploce beach, located near Budva, has rocky and sandy parts. Its secluded location allows for a peaceful atmosphere, although this beach can get crowded during the peak season.
Mogren Beach, which is located in the very west of Budva, 200 meters from the Old Town, is covered with pleasant fine sand. Like Trsteno beach, Mogren has a rather steep entrance to the sea.
The Slavic beach in Budva is considered to be mostly pebbly, but nevertheless we could not fail to mention this beach due to the fact that it is one of the most famous in Montenegro. There is sand on this beach, but still it is impossible to call this beach sandy.
Unlike Slavic beach, Becici beach has a fairly large amount of coarse sand, therefore it is included in the list of sandy beaches in Montenegro. This is one of the best places for families with children, since the sandy strip here is quite wide, and the entrance to the sea is not as steep as on some other beaches. It is also worth noting that on Becici beach the water is mostly calm, and near this beach there are several good all-inclusive hotels that are great for families.
To the east of Becici is Kamenovo beach, which is mostly covered with sand. Further south are the sandy beaches of Crvena Glavitsa and Perazic.
The beaches of Petrovac and Lucice are considered among the most popular sandy beaches in Montenegro. They are located in the very south of the Budva Riviera.

Bar

The Bar Riviera is not as rich in sandy beaches as the Budva Riviera, but here you can also find good places for family holidays. The best of them, in our opinion, is the sandy beach of Sutomore. The other sandy beach in the area is Red Beach, but it's unlikely to be family-friendly due to the presence of rocks.

Ulcinj

In the Ulcinj area, the best sandy beach is the Big Beach. This is the longest beach in Montenegro, the length of which exceeds 10 km. It is covered with fine gray sand and is known for its high waves. Since this is a rather long beach, you can easily find a place for a relaxing holiday here.
The beach on the island of Ada Bojana is also covered with sand, but this beach is mainly for nudists and lovers of a relaxing holiday. about any mass tourism there is no talk here.

The best sandy beach in Montenegro

As you can see, there are quite a lot of sandy beaches in Montenegro. If you want to choose the best sandy beach in this country, then we advise you to pay attention to Becici beach, as it is a fairly wide and well-equipped beach, next to which there are many restaurants, cafes, hotels. Proximity to Budva is also a big advantage.

One of the main treasures of Montenegro are its beaches. And although not all of them can boast of a sandy surface, many are pebbly, tourists will still have a place to turn around. Best time to travel

When it was possible to decide on a place of rest, it's time to talk about when the beach season in Montenegro begins and how long it lasts. This information will allow you not only to plan your vacation, book tickets and hotel rooms, but also not to miss anything important. Of course, no one can guarantee that the weather will not suddenly deteriorate during the high season.

So, the beginning of the season falls on the second half of May. You can swim in the warm and clear sea, enjoy other delights of a resort holiday until mid-September, and sometimes until early October. It is better to plan a trip in early autumn or June, when the influx of tourists is not so big and there is a choice of hotel rooms. And the cost of rooms at this time is a little lower, which will make it possible to reduce your expenses well.

When visiting Montenegro for the first time, as well as any other resort abroad, the question arises of how not to miscalculate when choosing a place to stay with children and where to stay.

In terms of living in Budva (the most expensive resort) at the peak of the season, even the simplest housing by the sea (in the form of one-room apartments, a small studio, a guesthouse room) will cost a lot if it is not taken care of in advance.

But for beginners, this particular resort is most often advised, explaining this choice with very convincing arguments: close to the airport (20 minutes by car), developed infrastructure (shops, medical offices, post office, discos, etc.), excellent beaches, availability historical center with many attractions.

But there are also fat minuses - a lot of vacationers, noisy, not the cleanest sea. The resort with nightlife, bars, discos and clubs is more focused on middle-aged tourists and party youth.

The picturesque and calm place of Sveti Stefan is much more suitable for you (you can get from Budva by bus in about 20 minutes), the moderately lively and fairly calm town of Petrovac (an hour drive from the Tivat airport), Becici, Rafailovichi, Ulcinj.

Beach holidays with children in Montenegro

Montenegrin beaches are very different: sandy, rocky, covered with pebbles (small and large), with slabs and stones. There are more than a hundred of them in a small area. There are beaches at hotels, there are municipal ones.

Most of the beaches are pebbly, while sandy ones make up about 1/3 of the entire beach area. There is a natural large sandy beach in Ulcinj, sandy bulk - at the island-hotel Sveti Stefan, in Milocer, Becici and in some other places. What they have in common is that they are always clean.

For cleanliness and the best ecology, Montenegrin beaches of Budva, Bar, Tivat, Herceg Novi, Ulcinj are marked with Blue Flags, because there is nothing close to them that would pollute the environment.

The coastal part of Montenegro is conditionally divided into three regions: the Budva Riviera, the Ulcinj Riviera and the resorts of the Bay of Kotor.

Budva Riviera

The Budva Riviera with the resorts of Budva, Bar, Sveti Stefan, Milocer, Becici, Petrovac, Sutomore and Rafailovici, where the largest number of beaches are located, is the most popular and sought-after region among tourists.

The beaches here are predominantly pebbly and sandy of various colors due to the content of various minerals in their composition. Among them there are rocky with rocky areas.

Budva with many daytime and nighttime entertainment (not without reason it is called the "Montenegrin Miami") is considered tourist center country and an ideal place for outdoor activities. This is where the majority of people who come on vacation go. Families with children may find this resort somewhat noisy (although this also depends on the chosen area of the city for living).

There are several beaches within the city limits of the crowded resort. This is the most crowded and popular Mogren beach in the season, divided into two zones by a picturesque rock with pebble and sandy areas with golden sand, which are connected by an underground passage, and Slavic Beach, which occupies almost the entire city coast.

Family tourists can look at the Guvantse beach, located on the southern outskirts of Budva on the way to Becici. Although it is considered relatively remote from the center, the beach leads in the amount of sun during the day, is considered the sunniest and is famous for its beautiful sunsets.

Kids will certainly enjoy soft sand and a comfortable entrance to the sea, emerald vegetation on the shore, warm and clear water. The beach is miniature - its length is only about 150 meters. It is not difficult to get to it: you can walk by walking, or you can use the wonderful mini-train that runs around Budva.

The resort of Becici, located next to the crowded Budva (4 kilometers away), is a real beach paradise. There are always a lot of people who want to relax here. Even not the lowest prices for accommodation in apartments do not scare away tourists (although, of course, they are more democratic than in Budva itself).

Families with children are captivated by the secluded location, the proximity of Tivat airport (13 km) and the best beach in the country, covered with small pebbles and golden soft sand, almost 2 kilometers long. There are no moorings here, so there is no danger from boats constantly scurrying back and forth.

Not far from Becici (1.5 km) is the village of Rafailovichi (10 minutes from Budva) with stunning nature, turquoise sea and Kamenovo beach, located in a sunny bay. It is covered with small and soft White sand and pebbles.

The uncrowded spacious Jaz beach in the vicinity of Budva (located in the village of the same name) is quite popular among tourists. It is a coastal kilometer strip of the purest sand, gradually turning into small pebbles, and then (closer to Budva) large pebbles, stones and a rocky coast begin.

The beach is quite long and along it there are a large number of private boarding houses, hotels, campsites and guesthouses. Visually, it is divided into a recreation area for nudists and an area for everyone else. Convenient for those who come to rest by car.

Between the beaches of Jaz and Ploce there is a sandy shallow Trsteno beach, convenient for swimming with kids. The beach is small, the sand is as fine as flour, but the water is clear. Smooth and gentle entry into the water. Located in a closed cozy bay. Tourists get from Budva by bus. Among the shortcomings - not very well equipped.

Ploce beach is the most remote from Budva (it takes about 20 minutes by bus). Located on a peninsula with access to the open sea. The coastline is mainly represented by slab terraces descending to the water. There is no sand at all, there is a small area with pebbles.

The entrance to the bathing places in the sea is conveniently organized by special stone steps or stairs. The bottom of the sea is pebbly. The water is crystal clear, beautiful coastal landscape with exotic plants (for example, you can find cacti on it). For small children, small pools and playgrounds are provided on the beach.

The beaches of St. Stephen and Milocer are expensive and prestigious vacation spots. If the budget allows, they can undoubtedly be classified as resorts ideal for a family holiday in Montenegro.

Sveti Stefan is a picturesque village, which is most often depicted on postcards with views of Montenegro, with the cleanest beaches, located on both sides of a narrow isthmus connecting the coast with the island-hotel, covered with small pebbles and pinkish-red sand, and a gentle entrance.

The resort can be conditionally divided into the island of Sveti Stefan, on which luxury hotels built on the territory of buildings of the medieval period are concentrated, and the village itself is a small fishing village connected by an artificial sand spit to the island, where you can find apartments, villas, a hotel on your budget .

The resort village of Milocer (from Budva - 6 km) is famous for its magnificent beaches, beautiful villas, tall pine trees and a park. Near the island of Sveti Stefan there is a small "Queen's Beach" and nearby another sandy beach "Milocer" (it is also called the "King's Beach").

With children, you can settle in a quieter place in the neighborhood - in Petrovac. Cozy quiet Petrovac without noisy nighttime entertainment is located in a calm picturesque place (from Budva - 17 km) with a mild climate, with hills overgrown with pine trees and olive groves, with clear water in the sea, with rocky islands visible in the distance with a miniature chapel.

The beaches of this resort (there are two of them - the main one, stretching for 2 km with a charming promenade, and at some distance the Lucice beach) are covered with small pebbles and reddish sand. A good entrance to the sea, but almost immediately (after 4-5 meters) the depth begins.

Lučice beach is more picturesque, with a more convenient entrance and very small, sand-like pebbles (on the main beach, in some areas, when entering the water, there are huge stones). On Lučice beach for children there is a sea water slide with a small pool carved into the stone. A little further (you can walk) - the beach "Buryalitsa".

In Petrovac, families with children like to stay in apartments (if you book them in advance, it turns out to be inexpensive). This resort is often recommended for families with children in Montenegro, also because it has a cozy and calm atmosphere, but not boring. A beautiful bay, rocky grottoes with secluded places for swimming, a medieval castle, an ancient fortress once built by the Venetians to intimidate sea pirates, a stunning pine grove - all this makes Petrovac a tempting place to relax with a child.

The resort of Bar also has good pebble beaches. But in the city itself, due to the busy water traffic (boats, cruise boats, yachts constantly run), swimming is not very comfortable. It is much more pleasant to do this in neighboring towns on sand and pebble beaches, which can be reached from Bar in a quarter of an hour.

The beach "Biserna obala" ("Pearl Coast") with fine sand with a mother-of-pearl hue is located in the town of Canj, just north of Bar. This is one of the famous beaches in Montenegro.

The beach "Zlatna obala" ("Golden Coast") with golden sand and alluvium of small pebbles (analogous to the Bulgarian "Golden Sands") belongs to the hotel. It is located in one bay near the city beach in Sutomore, protected from the winds by pines and cypresses from the mainland.

In a tiny bay between Bar and Sutomore, a secluded, small, picturesque "Red Beach" is lost. It got its name because of the sand that covers it and the reddish pebbles (a mixture of sand with crushed corals). This is a convenient place to stay with children. It is not crowded here, almost always warm and windless.

Among the shortcomings - it is located at a remote distance from the Bar and it is inconvenient to get (if not by car). Large sharp boulders also prevent entering the water. meet and sea urchins(although they are all over the coast).

Between the Sutomore and the backwater of Chan near the Black Cape is Malevik beach, mostly pebbly, rocky in places with large stones in the water (you can’t swim without slippers). Of course, it is not very suitable for a toddler. But here the water is unusually clear, and in the heat you can hide in the shade of nearby pine trees.

In the town of Utjeha, on the way from Bar to Ulcinj, there are also several small sandy beaches.

The beaches of the Ulcinj Riviera

The Ulcinj Riviera, represented by the only city - Ulcinj - is another region of Montenegro famous for its sandy beaches.

The Ulcinj resort with turquoise water in the bay and famous beaches with gray basalt sand is located in the very south of Montenegro. This resort is quite crowded, but not as much as in popular tourist places. It is also famous for its ecology.

Velika Plaža (Big Beach) stretches along the coast with a 13-kilometer sandy strip, along which there are many hotels. It was created as if specially for children: shallow sea, magnificent landscapes, healing fine sand enriched with minerals, a gentle entry into the water with gradually increasing depth. Among the shortcomings is the proximity to the port.

City Small Beach is located, as it were, inside the city itself. Here are concentrated local restaurants and cafes, shops and discos.

Near Ulcinj is the Tropicana beach, equipped with a children's amusement park and water rides.

A beach with healing coral and small-shell sand, extremely soft to the touch, the islands of Ada-Bojana is a continuation of the Big Beach, from which it is separated by a river. Nudists and surfers love to relax here on the island-reserve.

Resorts and beaches of the Bay of Kotor

The resorts of the Bay of Kotor, in addition to Kotor, include Tivat, Perast, Koshtanitsa, Risan, Herceg Novi.

The peculiarity of this region is that in the Bay of Kotor, cutting into the coast for 30 kilometers, there is no strong excitement at the sea, high waves and storms, dangerous strong currents, which makes swimming in the sea safe even for kids. The water in the bay is warmer. But the climate is quite hot.

In Kotor itself, the beaches are urban, where swimming with children is not entirely comfortable (not such a clean sea, stones and rocks). And in general, this expensive city is not the best place in Montenegro for beach holiday with kids. But Kotor Old city with mass interesting details, secrets and riddles, where you can introduce children to ancient history this edge.

The beaches of the Hercegnovskaya Riviera are mostly rocky, which is not so comfortable for swimming, but they are more picturesque. It should also be borne in mind that rocky beaches are often chosen by sea urchins. However, sand and pebble beaches are also found in the Bay of Kotor, especially in the vicinity of Herceg Novi and Tivat.

The beaches of Tivat: Donja Lastva, Cape Selyanovo, Staraya Rachitsa, Kamelia are equipped with small city beaches with concrete slabs and sandy areas. On the "Island of Flowers" (from Tivat - 2 km) there are sandy beaches.

Good for children is the small sandy beach Plavi Horizonti in the Przno valley (12 km from Tivat at the Blue Horizon hotel), located in a calm, quiet bay, where the warmest days in Montenegro are all year round. Healing fine sand, shallow water, clear water, olive and pine green groves - all this attracts families with children.

Nearby is the beach in the town of Oblatno at the Almara Beach Club hotel with comfortable umbrellas and sun loungers, a landscaped park, and club parties.

Herceg Novi is a popular and lively resort in Montenegro, but less noisy and cheaper than Budva or Tivat. Suitable for families with children, although the beaches in this resort cannot be called the best. Very often these are concrete slabs, and sandy beaches need to be reached by boat, for example, to the reserved Lustica peninsula.

From Herceg Novi on a boat you can go to the beach in the uncrowded, beautiful and cozy town of Rose. Actually, there are no beaches as such: vacationers sunbathe on the embankment.

The beaches of Zhanitsa and Mirishta, located on the coast, are pebbly, which differ from most of the beaches of Montenegro in that they go directly into the open sea. From them you can admire the wonderful view of the fortress on the island of Maiula. You can get here from Herceg Novi by boat for a small fee.

Montenegro attracts with its cleanest beaches and many resort towns for different tastes and budgets. And not only this. The beauty of this country lies in the numerous bays and bays, the royal mountains, in the delightful nature, in the medieval architecture, historical monuments and unique culture.

We will talk more about what to see and where to visit with children in Montenegro next time. Until then…

Initially, in this note, we wanted to list all the existing beaches in Montenegro. But when we started writing it, we realized that we couldn’t cope:

  • The length of the Montenegrin coastline is about 73 kilometers.
  • And almost all of it is divided into beaches: small and large; sand, pebble and concrete; urban, private, wild and nudist.
  • The number of only popular beaches has long ago exceeded a hundred (117, to be exact).

Therefore, in this article, we decided to write first of all about the general features of Montenegrin beaches and the characteristic differences between beaches on different Riviera. By the way, a little further in the article, in the Riviera section, you can admire unique three-dimensional panoramas.

We will list the beaches themselves with reference to a specific city or Riviera.

Beach laws in Montenegro: cleaning and sunbeds

Montenegro is a country that lives solely on tourism. Therefore, the convenience of tourists here is treated as carefully as possible. Let's look at beach laws:

  1. The entire coastline is exclusively state property. There are practically no private beaches in Montenegro.
  2. The state often rents out beaches, but the requirements for rented beaches are very serious.
  3. Cleaning on the beaches during the tourist season, according to the law, takes place every day. In reality - twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
  4. No more than 50% of the beach area can be occupied by paid sunbeds. The rest of the place is for vacationers with a towel.
  5. On the territory of hotels, the entire beach can be filled with sunbeds, but then they are free.
  6. Entrance to any beach and access to the sea are free for everyone. You can not even build decorative fences.

These laws are rarely violated. And in exceptional cases: it is generally closed to visitors (you can only get there on an excursion or by booking a table in a restaurant), some of the beaches nearby are paid (you have to buy a sunbed), you can also get to the King's beach near Villa Milocer only by paying for sunbeds (70 euros for kit), and Queen's Beach is reserved for villa guests only. Near enough free beaches.

But all these exceptions apply only to some elite beaches for very rich people.

As a conclusion: wherever you rest, you can easily find a free and comfortable beach for relaxation.

Prices on the beaches - how much does a sunbed and an umbrella cost?

Prices on the beaches are very dependent on their workload. The more vacationers, the more expensive. Sunbeds are often sold in sets of 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.

Types of beaches in Montenegro: sandy, pebble and concrete.

There are almost no sandy beaches in Montenegro. They can only be found in the south of the country, near Ultsyn - this the famous Velika Plaja (Big Beach).

All other beaches are pebbly, mixed type or concrete (on show-offs). No matter how many reviews or descriptions of hotels / beaches write about soft sand, you still can’t believe it. Sand can be imported. It is usually imported in May, and by July or August it is washed out.

It is not worth counting on the beach with imported sand to be sandy based on the reviews of tourists or photos - in one year they can bring sand to the beach, and in the next - no longer.

How are the "sandy beaches" in Montenegro.

The coast of almost any natural beach in Montenegro is rocky and uneven. Well, what did you want from the country of mountains by the sea?

It is inconvenient for tourists. In order to somehow rectify the situation, beach tenants bring here whole trucks with small pebbles and sand in the spring. Pebbles are poured from below, sand is poured from above.

By the end of July, beginning of August, the sand is washed out and mixed with pebbles. It turns out a sand and pebble beach. Pebbles will be the size of buckwheat or peas.

Pros of sand and pebble beaches

Have you ever wondered why you need sand on the beach? Especially if you don’t have children with you, and you yourself have long since passed the age when they make pastries.

Sandy beaches, along with all their pluses, have a lot of minuses. Sand constantly gets into bags and towels, flies into the eyes, raises turbidity and dirt into the sea.

Sand and pebble beaches are among the most comfortable in the world. Especially if you relax on the sunbeds. You will find clear water and the absence of "sand whirlwinds". Yes, and various garbage dangerous to the feet on the pebbles is much more noticeable.

Concrete beaches in Montenegro.

Concrete beaches are also a great option. This is when there are sun loungers on the beach, and we go down the ladder or steps into the water.

Causes dislike? We did too at first. Exactly until the moment we realized that it was like swimming in a pool, but at the same time in real sea water.

Such beaches are convenient for people who can swim and prefer to pay for sunbeds. Although we often saw vacationers with a towel and on concrete beaches. Most often in and.

The unequivocal advantage of this option is the absence of sand that gets into your eyes, mouth, on a towel and in a bag and steep slopes - you do not have to go into the sea for several tens of meters.

The most common such beaches are in and. The largest and most famous is Ploce beach, which is located 12 km from. We advise: the beach is beautiful, well equipped and not too expensive.

Riviera in Montenegro

In Montenegro, the beaches are usually divided into Riviera by the name of the nearest major city. Each Riviera has its own advantages and disadvantages that you should take into account when choosing your future holiday destination. Let's try to briefly go over the main points:

Budva Riviera

The following cities are usually referred to the Budva Riviera:

  • - one of the most ;
  • and Milocher - elite recreation centers;
  • Petrovac is a resort, considered healing due to its olive and coniferous groves;
  • and - small resort villages, which back in 1935 won the Grand Prix for the most beautiful beach Europe.
  • Sutomore is one of the cheapest resorts in Montenegro. There are good sand and pebble beaches, but there are a lot of tourists.

We will look at the beaches of Sutomore and their environs from a bird's eye view:

The Budva Riviera is considered one of the most famous and popular in Montenegro and is famous primarily for its sand and pebble beaches (sand is often imported).

The beaches in Boka Kotorska are mostly concrete. There are practically no sand and pebble options. This is partly compensated by the very beautiful scenery around - the mountains surround the bay from all sides.

We will admire the bay from the pier of the city. By the way, such tourist liners enter the harbor very, very often.

Herceg Nova Riviera

There is confusion on the Internet with cities related to the Hercegnovskaya Riviera. For some reason, they often include Risan, which are located on the territory of the community and quite far from. With confidence, the Herceg Novi Riviera can be attributed to:

  • - an amazingly beautiful city on a slope low mountain, which is often called the botanical garden of Montenegro.
  • Igalo is the health resort of Montenegro. Here you can enjoy mineral waters and therapeutic mud.
  • Meline
  • Kumbor

The beaches of the Herceg Nova Riviera are small, but quite diverse. Here, concrete beaches are increasingly beginning to come across, sometimes sandy-pebble options with imported sand. There are also several natural pebble beaches(For example, ).

The beaches of Ulcinj are covered with basalt sand. It is dark gray in color and is considered medicinal. A whole complex of minerals (iodine, calcium salts and carbonates) in such sand have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system.

Theoretically, the beach season on the Ulcinj Riviera lasts for half a year - from April to November, but we personally did not dare to check this statement.
