Bai Sao Beach

This beach is famous for its scenic beauty and privacy. It is located in the southeastern part of the island. Compared to Long beach, it is quite wide, since there are only a few guesthouses and cafes here.

And for those who have already been on this island or are just going to go, I did below short review, in my opinion, all the main beaches .

You can choose a hotel on an excellent service, he searches for hotels on all major booking systems, such as Booking, Agoda, Hotels, etc. and will immediately give you the cost of the hotel in these systems. I also wrote a review about .

#1: Beach Long beach(long beach)

It is located on the west coast of the island washed by the Gulf of Thailand. Since it is located on the southwestern coast, you can, of course, watch beautiful sunsets from it, as the sun does not just set over the horizon, but seems to fall into the sea.

The beach stretches from Duong Dong and stretches south for almost twenty kilometers. The sand has a yellow tint and is bordered by a grassy edge of the coast lined with rows of coconut palms.

The central and northern part is the best place to relax. There are numerous hotels, cafes and bars along the road leading to Duong Dong, where you can have a delicious lunch and a glass of wine. Clean beach, a lot of sunbeds, compared to Thailand, it is not crowded here.

The southernmost part of the beach is mostly deserted, with lonely fishermen's shacks made of palm leaves in the distance. Slowly, construction is increasingly covering its southern part. So soon there will be hotels and other developed infrastructure here.

Bai Sao is not inferior to Long Beach in its significance and beauty. Its length is about two kilometers, and it is located in the southern part of the island, 25 kilometers from the capital Duong Dong. Bai Sao is a rather secluded beach with soft and white sand - one of the few on the island.

You can not only passively sunbathe on it, but if you prefer a whiter active holiday, then here you can rent a jet ski, go scrolling or just ride a banana. Also near the beach there are several hotels and restaurants that offer European, Vietnamese or Russian dishes.

Here in the ocean you can see starfish, if you're lucky, small squids. In the most northern and southern areas of the island, there are places where you will find corals.

Adviсe:

  • From May to October, the sea in this place is calm, as the winds go to the western part of the island. And from October to May the sea will be restless, especially in the middle of the day.
  • Bai Sao is a popular beach and it gets crowded from time to time. But if you are looking for privacy and peace, then come to it either early in the morning or in the evening to admire the amazing sunset.

Bai Ong Lang is located on the west coast of Phu Quoc. It is located between the town of Ganh Dau and Duong Dong. Bai Ong Lang is not continuous, but consists, as it were, of a series of small sandy beaches separated by ridges of stones.

All recreation areas in the resorts are well maintained, they are regularly cleaned from the debris that the waves bring to the shore. This is a wonderful quiet place, not overcrowded with tourists, beautiful White sand, with crystal clear water.

There are no shops on this one, so it's best to buy everything you need in advance and bring with you. But if you want to drink cocktails or beer, then you will find a bar or restaurant next to the hotel. If you are not satisfied with the food here, then you can always go to Duong Dong, which is located a 15-minute drive from the beach.

A vendor sometimes walks along the beach and offers you to buy fresh pineapple, mango or watermelon. Sun loungers on this beach can be rented for about 50 VND per day.

#4: Beach bai Khem(Bai Khem Beach)

Bai Khem (also known as Kem Beach, Bai Kem, Bai Khem, and also called "Cream Beach") is another white sandy beach of Fukuoka, located on the south east coast south of An Thoi Town, 24 kilometers from Duong Dong.

Bai Khem is a beautiful crescent-shaped beach. Wet white powdery sand creaks pleasantly underfoot. The sea here is calm with a greenish-blue tint. In connection with which it received the name - Emerald Bay.

Although the beach itself is not as big as Long Beach or Bai Sao, it also attracts tourists with its romantic scenery. A fishing village nestled near the beach.

There are also bars and restaurants on Khem Beach that offer freshly cooked seafood. By visiting this place, you can buy fresh shrimp, oysters or snails that have just been caught directly from the fishing boats, and then take them to a restaurant where they will be cooked for you on the spot according to your chosen recipe.

Vung Bao is located in the northwest of Phu Quoc Island between Cua Bi Beach in the south and Bai Dai Beach in the north. It offers an excellent view of the neighboring island of Hong Mong Tai, it has a good place for swimming, as well as for fishing and scrolling.

The sand on the beach is dark yellow in color, and it is relatively clean. In the high season, the sea is calm here, and the water takes on various shades of blue. The southernmost part of the beach is completely deserted.

While snorkeling, you can see a starfish, a shell, and if you're lucky, sea urchins but be careful not to touch them.

If you like outdoor activities, then here you can rent a kayak to swim to the nearest Fingernail Island.

Phu Quoc island is a real pearl of Vietnam. Tourists rush here in search of adventure and a relaxing holiday on the white sand. The main advantage of the island is its numerous beaches..

There is something to admire here, because the luxurious nature has not bypassed these lands. And thanks to the developed infrastructure, rest here promises to be eventful and unforgettable. When preparing to visit Phu Quoc Island, you need to decide which beach is better to stay on. However, each of them has a whole list of advantages, so during your vacation you can have time to visit them all.

Long Beach (Truong beach)

The main beach of Phu Quoc is called Long beach (also called Truong beach) and is located on the west coast of the island, stretching for 7 km south of the city Duong Dong. A peculiarity is the uneven distribution of vacationers - it is always crowded near hotels, but there are also secluded, truly wild corners where lovers of everything mysterious are worth a look.

There are many restaurants with national Vietnamese cuisine on the beach. The sand here is light yellow, medium-sized, the entrance to the sea is gentle, which is ideal for children. There are no waves in the morning, but in the late afternoon the wind intensifies. There are no stones on the beach, but marine life is present: you can easily find crabs and jellyfish. Long Beach is the most clean beach Phu Quoc Islands. This perfect place for a romantic getaway - where, if not here, you can see off the sunsets? There is little entertainment, so the time spent here will be calm and carefree, no one will disturb you.

Bai Sao beach

The best beach in all of Vietnam called Bai Sao is located in the southeast of Phu Quoc island. It is still poorly equipped, although tourists can stay in one of several hotels; The signature restaurant is open throughout the day. There is fine white sand, charming palm trees, clear water, but there are still few travelers. Paradise place for a relaxing holidaya real corner of the "Bounty". Today, the appearance of the beach is changing, sunbeds and entertainment infrastructure are appearing. Children are unlikely to like it here, as it will not be possible to actively organize leisure activities. The sea is not always calm, sometimes a real storm begins, but even in sunny weather the waves here are very large.

How to get to the beach

If you are coming from Duong Dong city, you need to get to Highway 46 (National Highway 46) and drive south for 25 minutes. After the bridge you will find yourself in the village of Bai Sao. You need to drive along it for another 3 kilometers, and at the large billboard with the inscription "7UP" turn left. After 8-10 minutes you will find yourself at a fork with three paths - two of them lead to hotels, and the third to a bar. However, on all three roads you can get to Bai Sao Beach.

Transport prices:

  • Taxi from the airport - 300,000 VND ($15)
  • Taxi from Duong Dong - 400,000 VND ($20)

Ong Lang Beach

For connoisseurs of attractions, Ong Lang Beach, 8 km long, is perfect. The cultural and historical heritage of Fukuoka is located on this shore, and the most inquisitive tourists are offered an excursion to the Fish Sauce Factory. There are many hotels on the beach, but this does not prevent you from finding a secluded paradise surrounded by banana and coconut palms.

The sandy shore, a gentle entrance to the sea and a developed entertainment infrastructure will appeal to every tourist. Here full of activities for lovers of water sports and boat trips to nearby islands.

How to get to Ong Lang

If you decide to stay at one of the hotels on Ong Lang Beach, you will most likely be able to arrange a transfer from Phu Quoc Airport. If you just want to visit this place, you need a road to the north, to Gan Dau.

Vung Bau beach

This beach is located in the northern part of the west coast of Phu Quoc. For fans of peace and tranquility the best place it is difficult to find - tourists wander into these parts very rarely, so the romantic atmosphere is present here around the clock. There is a small restaurant on the beach, there is no entertainment infrastructure. Travelers who have been here say purity of water, mesmerizing landscapes and the presence of white sand. Even children will like it here thanks to the gentle entrance to the sea, but you will not be able to find sun loungers. And the garbage on the beach spoils the impression of the trip. And here the weather is very changeable, it is usually quiet in the morning, but by the afternoon the water surface ceases to be calm. See the location of Ong Lang on the map at the end of the article.

Dinh Cau Beach

One more not big beach the west coast - Dinh Cau - attracts travelers with crystal clear waters and golden sand. It is crowded, very beautiful and there is something to see. Among the local attractions stands out night market and colorful church. There are small stones on the beach, the entrance to the sea, although gentle, is not very convenient for children. The presence of rocks virtually eliminates the possibility of surfing and other sports. But this beach is the only one in Phu Quoc where you can jump off high altitude in water. There are many restaurants here, and you can buy products in the market.

Ganh Dau Beach

For the most enthusiastic dreamers and fans of romance, Ganh Dau Beach is open - unique place for a relaxing holiday. It is located near the Vietnamese village and is not yet inhabited by tourists. Hotels are just beginning to be built here, and there is almost no entertainment. So no one will distract you from contemplation turquoise expanse of the sea, wonderful palm trees and amazing sunsets. The sand here is crystal clear, light yellow, the gentle entrance to the sea is very comfortable. Calm in the morning is a frequent phenomenon, but in the evening clouds can gather. As for food, only a small cafe works for guests; to taste the delicacies, you need to go to the city.

Bai Dai beach or Bai Dai beach

This beach is located in the northwest of Phu Quoc, between Vung Bau and Gan Dau beaches. Previously, he was considered one of the most "pristine" beaches in all of Vietnam, but now the situation is changing - coastline built up with hotels and resorts. However, here you can find quiet corners, not yet touched by civilization.

For the most part, Bai Dai Beach is clean, covered with fine yellow sand. Due to the construction of large hotels, garbage can be found in some places, but this does not happen often. View of Turtle Island from Bai Dai Beach popular destination for diving and snorkeling.

The sea is warm here, and the water has many shades of green and blue. The descent into the water is smooth, and the current is small or completely absent - according to tourists, this beach is well suited for families with children.

As with other western beaches of Phu Quoc, Bai Dai offers stunning sunsets. Nearby is the Vinpearl amusement park (), where both children and adults can have fun.
