Hotel "Pereslavl" is the first hotel in Pereslavl-Zalessky, built for the Olympics. This is the oldest and largest hotel in the city. I have repeatedly talked about hotels built in Soviet times, and the conclusion was always the same - they have much more undeniable advantages than disadvantages. Cons what? Well, the layout is already somewhat old-fashioned, a corridor system, perhaps not the newest furniture, renovation. The advantages are of a completely different order - excellent service, decent buffet breakfasts, location in the city center, adequate booking conditions and prices. The same is true with the Pereslavl Hotel.
I have known this hotel for decades. Not only is it impossible to pass by and not notice when driving through Pereslavl - an impressive hotel, a spacious square in front of it. But there was a time when, when I was working in tourism, I ordered excursions from the Pereslavl travel agency, because the best guides in the city worked here.
And then the day came when I managed to live in this hotel, experience all its joys, and I must say - “Pereslavl” pleased me. He is still tourist center Pereslavl-Zalessky, where you can stay for the night, relax, eat delicious food in a cafe, book an excursion with a professional guide, buy souvenirs, etc. I’ll tell you about all this and my impressions today in this review.

Why Pereslavl?

I guess it's just time will stay at the main hotel of the city, get to know “Pereslavl” personally. Moreover, you know, we are lovers of big, real hotels. All other things being equal, from a good large hotel with infrastructure and a good mini-hotel (guest house) We will always choose the first one.

Well, in all seriousness, what is impossible not to pay attention to is the price of staying in this hotel, which is important for tourists and travelers. The price of accommodation is absolutely adequate, the hotel makes impressive discounts and about booking from the official website of the Pereslavl Hotel, and when booking on Booking. Check out the prices and see for yourself! Accommodation in a standard room with buffet breakfast when booking under a promotion will cost you 2,000 - 2,500 rubles! The price varies slightly depending on the dates and day of the week and may even be less! And how good are the Superior rooms here? Large, spacious, with a sofa. The cost is about 2,800 - 3,000 rubles with breakfast. Alas, we didn't get one. A very sought after number, keep that in mind.
In general, Pereslavl is full of advantages. In addition to excellent value for money, there are many good things for those traveling as a family. The hotel provides cribs free of charge, regardless of the age of the baby. And these are completely full-fledged, comfortable beds.

The hotel cafe has a children's menu, which is also a big plus.
The price, a considerable number of positive reviews, focus on children, location, buffet breakfast - this is what immediately attracts attention. For us, these are convincing advantages for choosing a hotel.

Arrival, check-in

Since the trip was not pre-planned, there was no longer the opportunity to choose hotel rooms closer to the arrival date. The better rooms were occupied, as were the Standard rooms with one large bed. We stayed in a Deluxe room (the price for this room is non-refundable tariff for our dates 2,880 rub. with breakfast).
I was allowed to take a photo of the Standard with two single beds. Other rooms were occupied. Please note that the Standard room is small but very nice.

So, we arrived at the hotel at 13.30. The hotel surprised us with a renovated facade and a decently filled parking lot. "Pereslavl" turned out to be a very popular hotel.
We were greeted warmly at the reception. I filled out the Guest Card. Checked out quickly, without any problems. We received our room key card and took the elevator to the third floor.

Suite

Suite - a room with two rooms - a spacious living room and a small bedroom (isolated rooms).
The living room has a sofa, desk, chair, wardrobe, large mirror, nightstand and coffee table.

There is a large TV on the wall that shows about 12 channels.

The bedroom has a large bed, bedside tables, and a table lamp.

The room has two balconies. Our windows looked out onto large area in front of the hotel and the road. The site will be improved in the near future.

I want to warn you right away. Despite the fact that the hotel is somewhat removed from the road, traffic noise can be heard at night. Well, let's just say, until one o'clock in the morning for sure. Then it's quiet until the morning. If you are sensitive to noise, when booking, specify a room with windows facing the courtyard and away from the elevator. The road didn’t bother us much, we didn’t hear the elevator at all, but you never know... People are all different.
By the way, the windows in the hotel are already modern, double-glazed. There are mosquito nets. The windows are large, floor-to-ceiling (French). We woke up in the morning, the sun seeps through the tulle, jumps through the thick curtains, floods everything around... The feeling is incomparable!

As for the furniture. All the furniture (wardrobe, table, etc.) is quite new.

Leather sofa needs updating. When unfolded, the upholstery of the sofa mattress came apart in places. And if you start looking for the disadvantages of the room, then you can definitely cling to the sofa. Yes, not new. But if you remember the adequate price of this Suite and many other advantages of the Pereslavl Hotel, then you no longer want to cling.

In general, I slept very well in the room. It's a rare occurrence that we woke up before our daughter.
There are no complaints about the bed, bed linen, pillows and blankets. Everything is clean and comfortable.

I also want to note an important point for me. The room is very warm and comfortable to be in. And this despite the fact that we stopped by on a day when it was about zero outside, even snowing. Why did you pay attention to this? Yes, in almost every hotel I was freezing all autumn, winter and spring, waking up with a stuffy nose. And here it’s warm everywhere - in the room, corridors, halls, cafes. We wore short sleeves.

The room has Wi-Fi. The Internet worked quickly, without interruptions.

On the table there is an electric kettle, glasses, cups, spoons, saucers. A small digression - coolers with hot and cold water are in the hall.

In addition to the living room, bedroom and two balconies, the room has a small hallway-hallway

and a bathroom.
The bathroom has a bath, sink, warm heated towel rail, shelf and towel hangers. Each guest is provided with two towels (large and medium) plus a foot towel. Bathrobes and toiletries (soap, shampoo and shower gel) are also provided. Hairdryer and slippers are available free of charge upon request.

Meals at the Pereslavl Hotel - Fit Café and Grand Café

This is a serious question. A good breakfast is a must. A good lunch and dinner is an enjoyable part. And if good breakfasts are found in hotels from time to time, then we managed to have a good lunch and dinner in hotels... We almost never managed to, I won’t lie. The Pereslavl Hotel was an exception.
I'll start with breakfast. IN Cafe Fit In the morning (from 8.00 to 11.00) buffet breakfasts are organized. Breakfast is very good. Delicious. Two types of milk porridge, omelet, eggs, cheese, sausage, ham, casserole, potatoes, sausages, muesli, cereal, yogurt, juices, tea, coffee, etc. In terms of the quality and organization of breakfasts, the Pereslavl Hotel is the best of all where we lived in Pereslavl. In other words, if a good breakfast is more important to you than new furniture and modern design, then this is the place for you.

But breakfast is breakfast, but the question of where to eat in Pereslavl-Zalessky remained open to us until now. I’ve talked about this many times and won’t repeat it, but in recent years we haven’t been able to find our own cafe (restaurant) in Pereslavl. And then, unexpectedly...
has been working at the Pereslavl Hotel for a long time. It's surprising that many haven't heard of him. Including us. Most likely the fact is that it is somewhat removed from the road, and it is difficult to see it during the day. It’s easier at night - the illuminated “FIT Cafe” sign is clearly visible.

The cafe has two rooms. First hall.

Second hall.

Prices are moderate. There are discounts.

There is a fairly varied Lenten menu (this was important for us) and a children's menu.

I liked the fact that the food is prepared upon ordering (and not heated). Everything is fresh. I liked the service - prompt and friendly. There is a service to order food to your room.
But the most important thing is that it’s delicious here! Including a delicious Lenten menu and delicious desserts.
Our lunch. Mostly lean.

In addition to the Fit cafe, on the ground floor in Pereslavl there is Grand Cafe. This is a new restaurant. Many people don't know about him. Take note! Here you can eat a la carte, drink delicious coffee, and also order a banquet, celebration, lunch and dinner for tourist groups. You can enter the Grand Cafe through main entrance to the Pereslavl Hotel.

On this moment the hotel "Pereslavl", in our opinion, is the best in Pereslavl-Zalessky of those in which we have stayed. Not ideal (I hardly know anyone who is ideal), but best overall very many factors.
Main advantages:

  1. Good value for money.
  2. Excellent discounts when booking on the hotel website and Booking (including the "Birthday" promotion - 20% discount on accommodation, as well as a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket as a gift - valid for seven days before the date of birth and ten days after it upon presentation of a passport).
  3. Wonderful location in the city center, within walking distance to many attractions and infrastructure of the city (shops, ATMs, cafes, etc.).
  4. Excellent buffet breakfast included in the price.
  5. Excellent service, very pleasant, professional staff, clean and tidy.
  6. Having your own travel agency (booking excursions).
  7. Having your own large parking lot.
  8. Fast free internet.
  9. Good food a la carte in the hotel cafe.
  10. Availability of a free children's playroom.
  11. Free cribs...

And so on.
Yes, the numbers are imperfect. Fans of modern designs and interiors and ergonomically organized spaces may well not like something in the rooms. BUT they are clean, cozy, and you sleep well. And there is a choice - by category and location (windows facing the courtyard or the road). This is not so little.
And I also like that oldest hotel in Pereslavl it is developing, improving, thinking about the future. Cafes are opening, the facade and halls are being updated. There are further plans to improve the surrounding area. This means the hotel will be even better and more attractive.
Do I recommend the Pereslavl Hotel? Yes, I recommend

  • for everyone who is looking for inexpensive accommodation in Pereslavl-Zalessky (with a good breakfast),
  • parents with children of different ages,
  • large families
  • tourists who want to get a quality excursion program,
  • tourist groups.

In general, everyone!

P.S. My husband asked me today in surprise why we had never stayed here before. The answer is simple. I usually book hotels on Booking. And I set certain criteria in the search. The rating is from 8. So the system did not give me the Pereslavl Hotel. Their rating is slightly lower.
It's actually a shame. A good hotel, which has a lot of advantages, good and excellent reviews, leaving a pleasant impression, was passed by due to some subjective disadvantages (for me personally, not fundamental). And she's not the only one. Our loved ones in Veliky Novgorod,

Pereslavl-Zalessky Small town, but there are hotels here and there is also a choice, albeit a small one. On average, you should expect 2000-3000 rubles for a standard double room in good hotel, suites are more expensive. You can only stay cheaper in motels and the conditions there will be simpler. As an option for very inexpensive accommodation, you can consider staying in your own tent, either just somewhere in the forest or on the territory of a camp site. But in this post I will only talk about hotels.

Among the attractions, it makes sense to stop by the Iron Museum, the Steam Locomotive Museum and other small museums. I wrote separately about what you can see in a post - the whole list is there interesting places.

I will only mention two important features. First, hotel prices on weekdays are cheaper than on weekends. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to travel during the week, you can save money. However, which hotel will be cheaper, you need to look at specific dates, because the cost changes not only depending on the day of the week, but also on the month.

The second feature is that there are a small number of hotels, so it makes sense to book a room in advance, otherwise everything may already be booked the day before. At least in the summer season, this is exactly what I encountered myself when I was looking for hotels on the Internet every day. By the way, the exception to the rule is, because there are as many as 60 standard rooms, not counting suites and family ones. But I’ll tell you about it below, since that’s where we ended up staying for the night.

Where to stay in Pereslavl-Zalessky

I have tried to arrange the hotels in order of increasing price, but it is better to check each time because the price will vary depending on the date. One hotel will be cheaper on weekends, another on weekdays. Prices are for weekends.

If you want to look for other hotels in Pereslavl-Zalessky, it is convenient to do this using the service, which shows prices for the same hotel in different booking systems. You can compare and choose the best offer.

There is a wonderful old town between Moscow and Yaroslavl called Pereslavl-Zalessky. There are a lot of interesting things in Pereslavl - ancient churches, monasteries, and all sorts of unusual museums, and how beautiful Lake Pleshcheyevo is beyond words. But I will talk about all this later, but for now I’ll show you where in Pereslavl you can stay for the night and where to have a delicious dinner.
For residents of Moscow, Yaroslavl and their environs, Pereslavl is an excellent place where you can make your own weekend tour - arriving in the city after lunch on Friday or Saturday morning and returning home on Sunday evening. Of course, you can stay with a tent on the shore of the lake, but sometimes you still want comfort and convenience, which means you need to choose the right hotel.

First, I will show you the hotel in which we lived ourselves.

The Pereslavl Hotel is the largest in the city, and most importantly it is quite conveniently located, many interesting places can be reached on foot, and for those who come to the city by car there is ample parking in front of the hotel.

This is the hotel lobby. Here you will be met, given the keys to your room, and here you can buy souvenirs.

We got a superior room with two beds, consisting of two rooms, which was very convenient.

This is a bedroom, there is also a wardrobe, a table, a small refrigerator, and a TV. The room has bathrobes, but no slippers, although in my opinion they are completely unnecessary because all the floors are covered with carpet.
The only negative we noticed was the lack of sockets near the bed, this is important for me, because I like to surf the Internet before going to bed.

This is the second room, with a sofa, a coffee table and a couple of cabinets for things. It is not very large, but is great for relaxing and for work. Both rooms have access to a balcony.

Well, the bathroom. A bathtub instead of a shower gives it a homely feel. For guests there are bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap, which are renewed as they are used. I was very pleased to have a hairdryer, because it’s not May and you won’t go out with wet hair.

In the morning, before going for a walk around the city, you need to have breakfast

Guests can enjoy a variety of juices, fruit drinks, compotes, tea and coffee

You can take omelette, semolina, sausages, boiled potatoes, buckwheat porridge, vegetables and pickles

There are porridges with water and milk, sliced cheese and sausage, and boiled eggs. In general, it is very difficult to stay hungry.

I already foresee the question of prices. In my opinion the price tag is quite adequate. Our room costs 2600 per day. The hotel also has standard double rooms for 2000 rubles and suites for 3200, so it all depends on your desires and capabilities, and if you book through the hotel website, you can also get a discount of up to 20%!

The Pereslavl Hotel has two restaurants - the lobby bar "Grand Cafe" and "Cafe Fit".
The food here is very tasty, I even ate fish, which I usually don’t eat here, with pleasure. In general, there is some kind of special fish in Pereslavl, I even ate herring and took some extra (for me this is practically an anomaly, because at home, when the family eats herring, I generally leave the table). And one more piece of advice from me - try the local beer “Zalesskaya Pinta”, I think you’ll like it, I liked the dark one, the red one was somehow not very good, I didn’t have enough strength for the light one))

Address: Yaroslavl region, Pereslavl-Zalessky, st. Rostovskaya, 27,
24-hour administrator telephone numbers +7 495 2720140 and +7 48535 31788

How to get to Pereslavl from Moscow You can take a comfortable regular bus from the VDNKh bus station, travel time is about 2 hours, the ticket costs 459 rubles. If you buy a ticket online, you need to print it out; without a paper ticket, you won’t get on the bus, but will send it to the ticket office, where you will pay another 35 rubles for printing.

And one more important point. In Pereslavl there is no Tele2 reception, so if you only have a SIM card from this operator in your phone, then there is a big chance of being left without a connection, although it may be good, but you will have a rest)))

I’ll tell you about all the interesting things about the city, but now I want to say a big thank you to the Pereslavl TIC for the perfectly organized press tour and to the community travel_russia for the opportunity to take part in it.
