When I landed at Mallorca airport, I was simply amazed at its size. This huge building with panoramic windows gave hope for excellent service. "Wow!" - I screamed after getting off the plane. Although, on the other hand, this is not surprising, because the flow of tourists there is large, almost all of them fly to the island.

But this is where the positive emotions practically ended, they quieted down. I ran into trouble - with not very good staff. If you know English, then it will be simple and easy for you. But in the case of a complete absence of a foreign language, you will have to explain everything on your fingers, and the workers there are not very friendly, they are also slow.

As for the internal organization of the airport, in the middle it does not seem as chic as from the outside.

I didn’t like, for example, the fact that people do not shine through at the entrance to the airport, you can bring anything you want. Although, on the other hand, when passing through security, when boarding a flight, they even ask to take off shoes with thick soles. Some kind of ambiguous attitude towards security.

I didn't like the fact that huge passages to the passport control zone were built, I was tired of carrying my bag.

The toilets were disappointing, they were dirty, and I also didn't have enough soap.

Well, a little about the infrastructure of the airport itself:

  • a bunch of clothing stores, Spanish-made cosmetics (I found my favorite boutique "Mango");
  • a huge duty free zone with cheap prices (an order of magnitude lower than in Russia);
  • several cafes, although not of a high standard;
  • the waiting area is spacious with free internet access.

    From the airport to the city a little more than 3 km, but the fare is 5 €. The town stretches along the sea. There is a large supermarket with more or less adequate prices. But in the evening many shelves are half-empty, tourists are snapping up. The depth of the beach was very upsetting. Walk 200m and swing to the waist ... The whole embankment is strewn with souvenir shops and small grocery stores. Many interesting souvenirs, inexpensive clothes, shoes, leather handbags .. But unfortunately, there are no toilets. The beach has changing rooms and showers. If I fly with children, then I have not seen a single playground .. For adults - only bars ... The second time I will not fly here.

    In the city, I was mostly on the beach.

    In the city, I was mostly on the beach. The beaches are all different along the entire coast. Near our hotel (Java), the beach is not equipped with changing cabins, there are no showers and taps for washing feet, and I also did not see a single toilet. Perhaps other beaches are somehow different. Paid sun loungers - 6 euros (they collect the fee about 12 hours). Straw umbrellas are also paid (the same amount), but you can sit nearby and on your own sun mat on the sand. The sea is clean, you can see the sand. The bottom is gently sloping, ideal for children. Standard waterfront cafes and restaurants. Children will be curious about the large Aquarium in the city center. The city is flooded with athletes from various sports. There are many bicycles, scooters and other equipment, the names of which I do not know. This creates a sense of the dynamism of the city, that the city is living an active healthy life. Palma is a short bus ride away. Buses run every 10-15 minutes.

    Caen - Pastilla is a town created for a calm - family vacation... There is no rumbling music in the beach area and noisy cries of drunken tourists (although there are rare exceptions). Very nice beach area. Most tourists buy umbrellas and bedding from the shops and do not use the municipal sun loungers (rather expensive). Can Pastilla has a nice promenade and a lot of places to eat well. Many interesting souvenirs are on sale. Food and wine, it is better to buy in Eroshki chain stores. There are substantial discounts on many products, sometimes up to 50 - 70 percent. One of the stores of this chain is located not far from KFC, the second if you go from the Java stop towards El Arenal.
