Crimea is considered an almost wonderful place for training beginners and preparing for difficult climbs of professionals. The Crimean mountain peaks are not distinguished by their impressive height, but they attract with an abundance of routes of varying difficulty levels, through which you can learn the basics of conquering peaks or hone your skills.

Tourists planning to go mountaineering in Crimea for the first time will have plenty to choose from.
In several corners of Taurida there are hills suitable for this:

  • Simeiz. Limestone (254.4 m) with steep spurs on the sea side.
  • Laspi. (664 m), towering over a picturesque bay.
  • Alushta. Hangar-Burun (1453 m) with a southern slope suitable for mountaineering.

One of the most popular schools for teaching mountaineering and rock climbing is AlpIndustry. The cost of the initial course here is 9,400 rubles. Some tour operators offer individual ascents to specific peaks. The passage can last from 2 to 7 hours and cost from 3,500 to 12,500 rubles.

Rock climbing in Crimea is especially attractive for its democracy, because healthy men, women, children, and people of advanced age can enjoy it. It is carried out with insurance, classes are conducted under the guidance of an experienced instructor, who will introduce you to the basics of technology and teach you how to handle equipment. A few tips from experienced conquerors will not be superfluous:

Contraindications to rock climbing are diseases of the musculoskeletal system and joints, bronchial asthma, high blood pressure, and fear of heights. People under the influence of drugs or alcohol are also not allowed.

As for mountaineering, you need to remember that mountains do not tolerate fuss and require great respect. Therefore, it is initially necessary to complete a preparatory course lasting 3-4 days. During this time, you will have to learn the basics of rock climbing and rappelling, learn how to handle equipment, and study safety requirements. Test climbs with different types of belay will help you learn to trust the instructor, rope, harness, and carabiners. The advice to future mountain climbers is similar to what we gave to rock climbers.

Quite often it happens that after several climbing or mountaineering sessions a person realizes that he can no longer live without these sensations. But even if you don’t become a professional, the impressions you get from conquering the mountainous Crimea will be remembered for a very long time. Don't even doubt it! In the meantime, watch the video about the conquest of the Foros Kant, enjoy watching!

  • Report on rock climbing and mountaineering in Sudak, July 2013
Often meetings before hikes and training are scheduled at the fountain at the station in Simferopol. And this place became for me my favorite overture to future travels around Crimea. I look with delight at the streams of the fountain and the roses around...

Garneau planned the layout, a disciplined group with different levels of preparation. For skin problems, select the correct routes. Tsikav people, have a great time. There is absolutely no harm in the costs that were invested.

The tour program turned out to be much more intense and physically challenging than I expected. This is a real sporting event, and I'm glad I stuck it out! I liked it all very much! Thank you!

More. Guys, I didn’t forget about the photos. I’m already writing to disks.
    2013-03-07 19:30:14 Andrey
In a nutshell, everything was great! I thought for a very long time whether to go or not. The weather in the city was snowless and warm. I thought there would be no winter activities. But when Uncle Vova and I saw the cold couloir from the highway, all questions and doubts disappeared. The smile did not leave my ears for a long time. This tour is very good for beginners who want to get acquainted with mountaineering. Everything is thoughtful, interesting, and informative. The place for classes is convenient and accessible. The accommodation is quite comfortable. And what else is needed for a person who has been on hikes. Hot porridge, tea and fifty grams of combat weapons and a roof over your head. 

I go hiking with various tour operators and I can objectively say that the Tropa club offers the most interesting routes. I really liked the instructors, interesting people and professionals in their field. For me, the most important thing in a hike is trust in the instructor, here it is 100 percent.

It is unlikely that I will become a climber, but the fact that such a “vacation” is interesting and exciting for me is certain. I liked the instructors - Andrey and Vladimir. Bringing a group together in a couple of days is a difficult task, but they did it. I liked the organization of living conditions. Coming back in the evening to a warm room with a warm shower is something. It is unlikely that I will find a reason for criticism. The cold couloir turned out to be not so scary, the MAN cave was not as banal as I thought. Working on the last day with the wind made me think. Thanks for your work. See you!

I wanted to try my hand at mountaineering with this tour to decide whether to pursue this activity or not (before that I was involved in sports tourism as a child) and decided that I would (: . The weather, of course, let us down, there was practically no snow, but the program was slightly adjusted, so I didn’t have to get bored Of course, I would like more theory, such as: moving in a group and in a team, “man and cold,” “man and acclimatization,” etc.

Hello everyone. This kind of experience is new to me. It was my first time climbing mountains using climbing equipment. I’m planning to go to Elbrus this year, I have no climbing experience, I was advised to at least take this tour. I wanted to understand whether I needed it or not. I don’t know about anyone, but this tour was very easy for me and I really liked it. Pros: good base. Although I now live in Kyiv, believe me as a person who knows Crimea well (well, I lived there for 15 years): in the vicinity of Demerdzhi on this moment It’s almost impossible to find a better base. Hot water, heating and food are provided. The correct skill of walking in problem areas, as well as rappelling and climbing on a jumar, was instilled in him, which is very useful. From wishes: I would like more theoretical knowledge. We walked through the Alps. equipment, but for myself personally it would be good to learn how to independently knit knots (at least basic ones), how to properly organize stations, and so on. Many thanks to the organizers.

I really enjoyed the tour, especially last days close to winter real mountain ones. The descent, and especially the ascent from the Bezdonka cave, gave additional adrenaline for at least 0.5 years - like a feeling of life suspended
