Eastern Beaches The islands of Koh Phangan are natural beauty, silence and a great place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. It’s also nice that you can always swim and swim here. But, keep in mind the following:
- The beaches of Haad Rin Nok and Haad Khonti are easily accessible and you can get to them without any problems, but getting to some others can be problematic.

Haad Yuan Beach
Haad Yuan is a wonderful beach for a quiet holiday. You can only get here by water or on foot through the forest (1.5-2 hours). In advertising brochures, one of the enticements is the opportunity to quickly and easily get from silence and relaxation to the cheerful Haad Rin with all its delights. This is true, but keep in mind that the cost of this pleasure is at least 200 baht per person one way. In addition, you will have to pay very generously for silence and privacy with the high cost of food, because... You understand that you can only buy anything here in the hotel restaurant and cafe. Another nuance - electricity is supplied from a generator and by the clock, at least this was the case a year ago (find out how it works now) There is always plenty of water. 
Haad Tienvost Beach
Haad Thianeast is the next small and isolated beach. Peace and quiet. The sand on the beach is quite coarse, and the natural splendor, for our taste, is broken by the beach sun loungers, which fill almost the entire small space. Housing can be found from 100 – 1500 baht. There are three resorts. One of them, like the beach itself, is positioned as a super cool Yoga center. We found this statement very dubious. In any case, if for you yoga is not a fashionable option for fitness, but a philosophy, then this is probably not the place for you. Transport and food are the same as on the previous beach. But the boat is already more expensive - from 300 baht.
Haad Nam Beach
Had Wai Nam is a very small and secluded beach. To get there by water from Haad Rin costs 300 baht. This is where it's quiet. There is only one resort on the beach. The cost of living in a bungalow is from 450 baht. The light from the gas generator turns on when the owners wake up, and turns off accordingly when they go to bed. They say yoga classes are also held here. We can’t say what kind of yoga it is and to what extent, but if you want to live in isolation from civilization, with the opportunity to independently meditate on the ocean, sunrise, rocks, or just a palm tree, this is the place for you.
Haad Yao Beach
The eastern Haad Yao beach (not to be confused with the western!) is a place for Robinsons. There are two resorts with wooden bungalows on the beach. From this beach, taking a walk (10-15 minutes) through Cape Laem Nokrong, you can get to the uninhabited (we hope this is still the case) Haad Yang beach. Wonderful place. It is located in a coconut grove, and its Sandy shore It ends on both sides with picturesque rocks. There is a small stream with clean fresh water. Oh, I wish I could live there with a tent!

Haad Sadet Beach
You can get to it by water or by road to Thong Nai Pan Noi. Sand beach immersed in the greenery of palm trees and tropical vegetation is very beautiful and picturesque. Fortunately, several of its resorts are organically integrated into the surrounding beauty and do not spoil it. It would be like this everywhere. You won’t find nightlife or any attractions here, but you can take interesting walks, for example to the waterfalls of the Khlong Thaan Sadet River, which flows into the sea here, admire nature to your heart’s content, and even go fishing. In addition, if you wish and have some skill, you can walk along the shore along the rocks and stones, but be careful.
Personally, we really liked the inexpensive hotel here called Mai Pen Rai Bungalows. His bungalows on the rocks above the sea look very picturesque and romantic. And what types of them! By the way, this is just a great beach for honeymoon. But this is so, in general, and a detailed story about this beach and our personal impressions of it -.

Nai Pan Yai Beach and Thong Nai Pan Noi
Thong Nai Pan Yai and Thong Nai Pan Noi are the northernmost beaches on east coast Koh Phangan Islands. Nowadays, you can get to them quickly and easily along an excellent quality road.
The beaches are very large and populated. Many hotels, ranging from inexpensive bungalows to very expensive hotels with their own enclosed areas, multi-level swimming pools, artificial waterfalls and more. You can swim here at any time without any problems, there is always plenty of water. There is no snorkeling, just like on this entire coast of Koh Phangan. 
There is some nightlife. You can eat in numerous cafes and restaurants from hotels, as well as in local ones. The presence of makashnitsa was also noticed, although not much. There are fruits. In general, the situation with food and products is tolerable, but in our opinion, it is significantly more expensive here than in Tong Sala.
Those who are looking for silence, harmony and beautiful nature on the seashore probably shouldn’t come here. But I think that these beaches of Koh Phangan will deservedly appeal to lovers of classic beach holiday and swimming. There is everything for this - a warm sea, White sand on wide beaches, hot sun, fairly developed tourist infrastructure and good service. In terms of comfort, they resemble beaches west coast, and in terms of the level of development of local infrastructure they are close to southern beaches of the island

We stayed in Thong Nai Pan Noi for 3 days in a beachfront bungalow. During this time we managed to enjoy it from the bottom of our hearts beautiful beach, relax and swim. We also looked at the nearby Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach. Looking ahead, I will immediately answer a question that is of interest to many - Noah is better. A relaxing holiday in Thong Nai Pan Noi
Perhaps there will be more people in the high season, but now in May you can see for yourself how many people are on the beach. But there is life here. Tourists relax in cafes and on sun loungers. Most are Europeans, but we also heard Russian speakers a couple of times. All decent, normal people, no drunk or inappropriate people were seen, neither Russians nor foreign tourists. No one disturbed our vacation.
Sea and sand
The sand is fine and pleasant to the feet, without stones or shells. In the southern part of the beach it is not very convenient to walk on the sand. There is no glass or debris in the sand. The sea is not as bright blue and the water is not as clear as on Haad Rin. But nevertheless, swimming here is a pleasure. The bottom is clean sand. The depth increases smoothly.
Low tides
You can swim even at low tide. Now in May the tides begin in the morning. But at Tong Nai Pan Noi we have no problem swimming at low tide. The water doesn't go far. It only becomes shallower, but it doesn’t take as long to get to the depths as on neighboring Tong Nai Pan Yai. We swim every day until the evening

Viewpoint on Thong Nai Pan Noi at the Panwiman Hotel
This Observation deck non-public and belongs to the Panviman Hotel. There is a sign “Private territory” in front of the stairs. So, you can’t officially enter it. But if you walk modestly, no one will notice or stop you. The view from here is amazing. See for yourself!
Where to eat
Despite the presence of expensive hotels, Thong Nai Pan Noi has many relatively inexpensive cafes and restaurants, where food costs start from 100 baht. A good inexpensive restaurant in the left corner of the beach is Baan Tapannoi. We ate there most often, so we can recommend it. Inexpensive, tasty and fast food, sea view. Our average bill for two is 300 baht ($9).
There are several more beach restaurants, and on the right side of the beach there is even a whole street with a lot of cafes. This street extends from the sea in the area Beach Club. And these are not Thai-stay cafes for locals or elite restaurants, but ordinary mid-level cafes. Very decent and cozy cafes, we could eat at any one. There is no such street with cafes in Tong Nai Pan Yai.
Shops, ATMs, currency exchange
All infrastructure is located on the street with cafes. There are ATMs of the main Thai banks, a couple of exchange offices (we didn’t look at the rate). There is no 7-Eleven in Thong Nai Pan Noi. Nearest 7-11 at nearby beach Yay. There are no large Tesco or Big C supermarkets either, but among the small ones there are 2 types of stores - dirty, dark shops and light, modern CHOMPOO Minimart. Prices are cheaper in dusty stores. In these stores, in principle, you can buy everything you might need on vacation. Water, drinks, alcohol, something to eat. The choice is not the same as in Seven. And all goods are overpriced. But it's tolerable for a few days. For example, a 1.5 liter bottle of water costs 20 baht. A pack of peanuts 30 baht. Chang beer 0.5l 60 baht.
What to do in the evening
As you already understand, there are many cafes in Tong Nai Pan Noi and you definitely won’t go hungry in the evening. What else can you do besides dinner? There are bars, we saw billiards, but there are no parties or discos here. So you can just take a walk on the beach. By 8 pm, approach the island of the Panwiman Hotel on the right side of the beach. Not only is there beautiful lighting, but you can also watch the fire show for free.

Our reviews of this beach are only positive. This beach is for relaxing and swimming in the sea. There will be nothing to do here for those who want to party and have fun. So far, of all the beaches we have seen on Koh Phangan, our favorite beaches are Haad Rin and this one.

How to get to Thong Nai Pan Noi
Judging by the reviews, many do not go to this beach because they are afraid of bad roads. The information about the broken dirt road has long been outdated. Now a modern asphalt road has already been built to the beaches of Thong Nai Pan. The taxi ride from Thongsala Pier takes about 30-40 minutes. For travel they require 250-300 baht per person. Taxis on Koh Phangan are expensive. Getting there on your bike or car will also not be a problem (see map below).

It"s close to the beach, the rooms are big with nice views. The Pavilions offer a partnership program, so you will be able to receive discounts at the main restaurants. The team members helped us organize entertainment as well as our taxis, tickets and transfers. We will definitely be back again. I am very grateful to the staff of this mini-hotel, who made our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Very nice and cozy place near the beach with spacious and clean rooms. Buri Rasa Hotel offers luxurious seafront accommodation with private balconies on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach. This hotel met all expectations! Stunning in every sense: Firstly, the hotel is located in a very picturesque place on the island, away from the bustle, but a 15-20 minute drive from the center. Secondly, the level of the hotel is much better than the other 4 star hotels in other areas of the island and fully meets 5 star standards. The hotel has all the advantages: close to numerous restaurants and cafes, shops for shopping, its own well-kept beach with all amenities, a clean spacious swimming pool, with a chic restaurant on the beach itself, with very tasty and varied breakfasts, where there is everything from cheeses to everything types of fruits. Breakfast is served by waiters; up to 10 people work per shift, constantly providing attention to each guest. In the morning, team building activities are held, which greatly motivate the team spirit, which helps the staff to treat their duties professionally. The rooms are very cozy, comfortable and clean. Bath accessories on top level, there are bathrobes, slippers and creams and bath accessories. Fitness room is very good. High-speed wifi throughout the entire territory, this is very important. It is clear that the staff works at a very high professional level, as every detail confirms this. The hotel is surrounded by greenery, the beach is very large, picturesque, with beautiful nature around. A river flows nearby with mangrove trees. The sea water is very warm, there are waves, but they are safe. Many rooms have pool views and beach access. While harvesting coconuts from palm trees, the staff served fresh coconuts to many guests.
