Therefore, before the trip, it is important to decide in which part of the island to spend your vacation. Only in certain parts of the island there are calm Bali beaches for swimming, which are suitable for a quiet holiday relaxation and tranquil family vacation with splashing kids. And in this article I will share my personal selection of such beaches.
Most of the beaches without waves are located on the southernmost tip of Bali - on the Bukit Peninsula. As a rule, this is where package tours are sold by Russian travel agencies. Sometimes cheaper options offer a trip to Kuta, but this is clearly not the beach where you can swim in the sea calmly. Therefore, first we will take a detailed look at the best Bali beaches for swimming in the Bukit area, and then in other areas of the island.
Nusa Dua beach in Bali
If you are thinking about a trip to Bali, then undoubtedly choose Nusa Dua. This is one of the most popular beaches with the best hotels on the island. The water here is turquoise, there are practically no waves, there is a wonderful entrance to the sea, and the sand is the softest. A holiday in Nusa Dua will be truly relaxing.
If you are traveling on your own, it is not necessary to choose hotels on the first line. The beach is absolutely free and unfenced, so it can be accessed not only by guests of nearby hotels, but also by those staying further away. But, of course, living right by the sea is a great pleasure, although not cheap.

Jimbaran has a fairly developed infrastructure with an abundance of restaurants and hotels to suit every taste. Again, Jimbaran is relatively close to all significant places and getting from here to various attractions of the island is clearly easier than from the very south of Bali.
In addition, the advantage is that holidays on Jimbaran are often cheaper than in Nusa Dua and other beaches in Bukin. Thanks to the long coastline, there are many hotels for every budget. But at the same time, the crowds of tourists on the beach are not particularly noticeable due to the fact that everyone somehow disperses along the shore. You can always find a secluded corner to relax.
As a conclusion, I note that whatever one may say, the most beautiful beaches in Bali for swimming and have a relaxing holiday are located in the south of the island. Of course, there is White Sand Bech in the east and Jimbaran in the west, but these are exceptions rather than the general rule, because... WHITE SAND BEACHES IN SOUTH BALI
Jimbaran Beach
It is located near Denpasar airport, the sand is white, fine, the bottom is flat, no big waves were noticed. The temperature of the water in the ocean feels + 28. I advise you to choose the left side of the beach for swimming, in Google Maps it is Pantai Muaya , we parked the car for free next to the temple (-8.782889, 115.161914). By the way, enter all coordinates with a minus sign, since Bali is located below the equator. Sunbeds are available for money, but we didn't take them. Jimbaran Beach is also known for its fish restaurants, they are located closer to its center, choose any one, looking into the aquariums with the catch indoors. The shore there is rocky, I didn’t find a place to sunbathe, and there were big waves, but the place is damn beautiful and wild. Maybe it's quieter there at low tide 
Balangan Beach
Balangan beach-one of the most photogenic beaches, so many wedding photographers hang out on the cape (-8.790441, 115.125056). The ceremonies are symbolic, with a wedding arch, a white dress - obviously just for the sake of a photo shoot. 
If you go down to the beach from the opposite edge (-8.793569, 115.122900), you will find yourself in a simple eatery where you can rent a board right there. But the entrance to the sea here is unpleasant, even if the photo with white sand fascinates you... but there are a lot of boulders in the water, and the waves knock you off your feet. This place is more for surfing 
I’ve been here twice, and I can’t say that it’s pleasant to swim. On the other side of the beach we found a place where we could swim close to the shore.
Beach in Canggu
We lived in this town for 5 days, booking a hotel room Sunset Villa Bali, which was deserted due to a recent volcanic eruption. These beaches are very close ( on the map), respectable hotels are located along the road. We went to the north of Bali not for the beaches, but for the silence and low prices. It's funny, but this region is underdeveloped; asphalt was laid only in the early 2000s. From Ubud we got here for at least 2 hours along narrow roads and jungles, renting a car for 10 euros per day. In the Tejakul area we stayed in an amazing hotel with a diving center Sea Communities - Segara Lestari Villas, we came across it by chance thanks to Arnby's after reading the reviews. Everything is wonderful in Less Village - silence, absence of tourists and unspoiled locals, huge portions of food from the hostess for dinner, coconut, mango and rambutan plantations, the sound of the sea even in our room. To get to more deep places you will have to stomp for a long time towards the ebb tide. Conventionally, the beach can be divided into northern and southern parts. The first one is calmer and less crowded. The second has a large number of people and infrastructure. Many bars and cafes make the beach a pleasant place to hang out. There is also a sufficient number of ATMs, pharmacies, shops, hotels, spas, and karaoke bars. They help you navigate in Russian. In the evenings you can see fascinating fire shows. A small, incredibly beautiful place is the blue lagoon, 500 meters long. The sand is fine, yellow, and in places you can see volcanic dust, but this does not spoil the special appearance; on the contrary, it looks more elegant.
